OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a heavy military unit for the Elysium Empire.
  • Image Credit: (X) Alterations made by myself.
  • Role: An relatively uncommon unit in the Elysium Empire, primarily used in response to vehicles and armored units.
  • Permissions: (X)
  • Links: Elysium Empire.
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: Elysium Leois Troopers
  • Affiliation: The Elysium Empire
  • Classification: Heavy Explosive Unit
  • Description: Typically wearing visually modified marine armor, the Leois Troopers are quite diverse in terms of attitude. The most notable things about them, are the grenade launchers they carry, and the heavy blaster rifles to boot.

GENERAL COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Unit Size: Medium
  • Unit Availability: Common
  • Unit Experience: Recruit
  • Equipment: Thunder Cat Grenade Launcher, ELYSI-31 Heavy Assault Blaster, Mk1 Elysium Navy-Marine Armor.
  • Combat Function: A major habit of the Leois Troopers is maintaining distance from the frontline, if you're looking for them, they'll most likely be in the back of any fighting force. Something else to note is how rarely they use their launchers, opting for the heavy blaster in most regular situations.
  • Force Abilities: N/A
Strengths
  • The average Leois Trooper is blast trained, being able to handle explosive devices much more efficiently than most other standard troopers.
  • Due to their weapons, they have some semblance of long-range combat training, being able to double as snipers if none are present, however, they certainly aren't meant for it.
Weaknesses
  • The weapons they carry contribute to a very slow movement speed, making them very vulnerable to attack while retreating.
  • When it comes to close-range combat, The Leois Troopers' options are limited. Most of the time, their only option in such situations is to use the weight of their blaster rifles.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Created shortly into the reign of the second Elysium king, the Leois Troopers were the answer to heavy military opposition.

While their training is specialized, they aren't by any means veteran soldiers. Many Leois Troopers come from the standard trooper caste almost as soon as an aptitude is found in them, some of the soldiers have become experienced with time, but that's the most of it. Even when veterans do become prevalent, they're quickly pulled out, put into officer positions, and the like.

Despite all this, the Leois Troopers have still managed to maintain a reputation of power and reliability.
