APPEARANCE:
Edward has the appearance of a young man in his mid 20s (thanks to his extended lifespan granted by a spinal implant) with pale skin, brown hair and green eyes. The left side of his face has a number of small scars, and frequently changes his mind about being clean-shaven or not. When he is not wearing his uniform, he prefers to wear smart clothing, typically with an open brown leather jacket.
BIOGRAPHY:
Edward Ashcard was born to Nelson and Julihal Ashcard on the planet of Epica where the family worked as miners in the mountain valleys of the planet. The Ashcard family had always respected strength and military might and spoke fondly of what would become the Eternal Empire, however as tensions rose the owners of a rival mine plotted to fabricate evidence that the ownership of the new Ashcard family mine was illegal. The local community was unwilling to stop the plot and so with Edward at age seven and his younger brother and sister, Nelson and Julihal joined the once again exiled Eternal Empire.
With the formation of the Eternal Empire, Edward grew up truly believing their tenants, reinforced by his family's own experience. Edward trained to become a demolitions expert to serve in the army, however because of his loyalty and unorthodox demolition strategies he was recruited into the Blackwatch and went through the "basic" training for the Blackwatch Special Security Corps. Edward stands proud to go out and be an instrument of the Eternal Empire's will.
ABSENCE AND RETURN:
Unfortunately for Edward, after a jungle operation with an uncertain outcome, he faded into obscurity within The Eternal Empire. However this was a ruse for Edward had in fact been on another mission after the jungle operation. He and his team tracked down a list of ten Sith agents within the Blackwatch, but the mission ended in disaster when the exfiltration become a shoot out that only left Edward alive. To avoid drawing attention to his discovery, he went into self-imposed exile on the swamp world of Mijos. In his mind, Edward held the names of the Sith agents but he would not take the information to his grave for he was rescued from the surface of Mijos by captain Pal Veda. Edward soon discovered that his accounts had been frozen, and so had to forge a slow path back to the Eternal Empire by extracting resources from the criminal networks found on the worlds along his path.
After returning to Eternal Empire space, Edward was promoted from operative to agent third class to reward his commitment to returning the names of the traitors and to better reflect his controlling role at Tygeria Dragon Armaments, While Edward was pleased by the promotion and the restoration of his assets, he found the Eternal Empire much more inwardly focused than he had left it. Not wanting to pass away the years while the galaxy moved around him, Edward left Eternal Empire space for a position within the Mandalorian Empire, but the ideas of struggle and duty remained strong in his heart and mind.
