PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: The Eidolon Arkwright Consortium
  • Affiliation: The Eidolon Arkwright Consortium
  • Market Status: Closed-Market
  • Model: E.A.C.- 66 "Judicator"-class Assault Cruiser
  • Production: Limited
  • Material:
    • The ship’s primary composition consists of durasteel, ultrachrome, and madog steel, combining structural strength, resilience, and advanced protective properties throughout its hull and internal framework.
    • A coating of PGEM/C-0036 Dunalmite is applied along the ship’s innermost hull layer, forming a protective barrier beneath its primary structural materials. This coating enhances the vessel’s internal resilience, helping shield the underlying framework from energy transfer, kinetic, EMP/Ion, and radiation.
    • Turadium is utilized throughout the E.A.C.- 66 "Judicator"-class Assault Cruiser for its blast doors, security doors, and massive bay doors; and is also incorporated into the structural skeleton of select sections of the ship.
    • A thin coating of impervium is applied across select portions of the ship’s outer hull, providing an additional layer of protection without significantly increasing the vessel’s overall mass.
    • The E.A.C.- 66 "Judicator" utilizes reinforced, specialized transparisteel, treated with advanced scratch- and fog-resistant properties, throughout its viewports, windows, and other transparent surfaces, providing exceptional durability against impacts, harsh environmental conditions, and structural stresses.
    • The ship is equipped with reinforced copper wiring, encased in duranium, that is engineered to facilitate the rapid and efficient flow of electrical current throughout its interconnected systems.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
STANDARD FEATURES
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Incorporated into the ship is a HIMS, a specialized system designed to effectively counteract the effects of an interdiction field and maintain the vessel’s hyperspace momentum.
  • A hyperwave warning system device is incorporated into the E.A.C.- 66 "Judicator" to monitor nearby hyperspace activity, emitting an audible warning whenever a starship is detected emerging from hyperspace within the immediate vicinity.
  • NZ SLAB-01 SubLight AfterBurner
  • System Software
STRENGTHS
  • Heavy Hitter
    • The ship is packs a eallop for its size, packing an exceptional amount of firepower, durability, and combat capability into its relatively compact frame.
  • Built Tough
    • The E.A.C.- 66 "Judicator"-class Assault Cruiser is built tough and durable, designed to withstand punishing impacts, sustained weapons fire, and the brutal rigors of prolonged combat.
  • Fast
    • The ship is exceptionally fast for its size and class, boasting impressive acceleration and speed that allow it to outrun or catch larger vessels.
WEAKNESSES
  • Average Defense
    • The ship’s defenses are average for a combat vessel, providing a respectable level of protection without being particularly exceptional or heavily specialized.
  • Maneuverability
    • Despite its impressive speed, the ship lacks maneuverability, making sharp turns and rapid directional changes difficult.
  • Small Hangar
    • The E.A.C.- 66 "Judicator"’s small hangar has limited capacity, allowing no more than 24 starfighters or 12 gunships to be stationed aboard at any given time.
DESCRIPTION

The Eidolon Arkwright Consortium developed the E.A.C.-66 “Judicator”-class Assault Cruiser around a deliberately dual-purpose philosophy, intended to bridge the gap between commercial escort and dedicated naval warfare.

Its first and perhaps most important function ia that of a reliable escort vessel for merchant transports, providing enough speed, endurance, protection, and firepower to shepherd valuable cargo through dangerous hyperspace routes, pirate-infested territories, and contested regions. The design is deliberately compact enough to operate alongside civilian shipping without the enormous logistical demands of a capital ship, while still possessing the durability necessary to absorb punishment and remain with its convoy.

This makes the "Judicator" particularly well suited to protecting merchantmen that could not afford the luxury of dedicated military escorts, transforming it into something of an armed guardian for the commercial interests.

Its second function is considerably more martial, the E.A.C.- 66 "Judicator"-class Assault Cruiser is built to serve as a military-grade naval combat ship, capable of participating directly in fleet engagements, patrol operations, system defense, and offensive actions. Despite this capability, the E.C.A. ultimately found that the latter role suited the vessel less naturally than its escort duties.

The E.A.C.- 66 "Judicator" is a heavy hitter for its size, carrying an impressive concentration of weaponry and possessing a tough, durable construction designed to withstand sustained combat. Its defenses are respectable and largely average for a combat vessel, while its reinforced hull and layered protection allows it to remain operational after suffering punishment that might cripple lesser escorts.

The ship is also exceptionally fast for its size and class, giving it excellent acceleration and the ability to rapidly reposition across a battlefield; however, that speed comes with a compromise, as its maneuverability is comparatively poor, making sharp turns and rapid directional changes difficult. In practice, the ship is therefore better suited to charge into an engagement, maintaining formation, escorting larger vessels, or bringing its considerable firepower to bear than engaging in prolonged dogfights or highly maneuverable close-quarters combat.

The E.A.C.- 66 "Judicator"-class Assault Cruiser's limitations ultimately define its place within the E.A.C's naval doctrine. Its small hangar can accommodate no more than 24 starfighters or 12 gunships in place of starfighters, providing useful organic aerospace support without turning the cruiser into a dedicated carrier.

This limited complement, combined with its substantial weaponry, sturdy construction, speed, and dependable defenses, makes it an excellent support combat vessel capable of reinforcing larger warships, protecting convoys, screening vulnerable assets, and contributing firepower without being expected to carry an entire battle group on its own.
