Drown your sorrows

[member="Krest"]

This went against everything she was taught in the first order, then again herself realized that they had been holding her back...working for a alien...she chuckled and liked her arm with his holding it up a little do to the big gap in their height difference, yeah no one was messing with her definitly not with this giant of a person!

yeah, you know first order ideology would have me act in disgust hahaha...or right out refuse goos thing in not part of it now yeah?

Poor attempt at humor but as was life at times, walking with him she wobbled a bit but remained standing as she took a breath few thoughts coming up that was immediately suppressed

so...how long have you been doing mercenary work

"Ah? Figures they don't like us less than human species. Gotta be someone out there who needs to put humans first right?" He snickered a bit, being sure to help [member="Sara Lee Jones"] keep her footing. It was a long walk indeed, but certainly one worth taking his time with as he listened to her. She was good company to say the least. "Since I was fourteen. Started young to say the least. Been at least thirty or so years now. Can't say it's been all that exciting though."

[member="Krest"]

yeah hahaha...as if humans dont have enough rughts... but that's politics I really dont care about not anymore at least not now haha

She was thankful say the least, she wasnt falling over like usual when she left these bars instead she was in a sort of right mind yet body just didnt want to cooperate. Lookimg up at him as he spoke she nodded and chuckled

I've been in a academy all my life...started in the first order navy when I was 19 fresh out of it...I think month later recruited into the 100th airborne division...I stayed with it till I was 24 then left that was...8 years ago I was 24 at the time

She pondered a bit on that then shrugged to herself as she looked forward taking a deep breath and letting it out

none of it matters...I must look forward to now and the future

"Mm. The future is always changing. Like today. I was here for a simple drink, instead I leave with a beautiful woman who can fly and fix a ship. Diamond in the rough to say the least." Once again the Zabrak smiled down to [member="Sara Lee Jones"] before looking back out to the city. At least now they weren't in the scummy area. The bright lights of the first class district were always dazzling. The pair certainly stood out as they walked through, the other denizens giving them an odd look.

But Krest didn't seem to care or notice. Instead he was focused on the human he was escorting. "What do you want to do with your life?"

[member="Krest"]

A light blush formed on her face as she glanced away yet smiled, seemed the same for her today except more of a handsome man taking her away from her troubles

heh...yeah diamond in the rough for sure...not every day a handsome...one like you comes around then again that's been never for me

Lookimg at a few that gave them odd looks she sneered, not like she cared at all she had no reason to not like it would get back to a higher ranking person and she could be in trouble no she was free and that's all that mattered. Lookimg to him she frowned

im... not exactly sure krest...mayne one day a family but for now? This job will be my life

"Handsome eh?" Krest snickered a bit, his eyes still looking about the city. His ship should be somewhere close by. "You'll be good for the job I think. Though, I suppose I shoild tell you a bit more about what it is." Which, as they were approaching his ship, was rather clear. Royalty section more or less, where the galaxy's most elite could park their personal cruisers.

"Technically I'm the King of Iridonia."

[member="Krest"]

considering I spent most my life in mostly human oriented citys....yea

Despite being little tipsy still her eyes roamed the area noting they were getting out if the rather poodoo ships into the more sleek and expensive types of ships, rich guy maybe? Then they started getting more and more expensive before sara faltered in her step and blinked turning towards him

wait wait hold up hold up...so I'm taking a king to and from battle and fixing his ship? Let me..let me catch up a bit mentally

That was a royal slap to the face...in a bad way no but it stunned her enough she stopped and took a deep breathing collecting herself before nodding

ok...ok so your a king and I'll be your pilot slash mechanic...and partner in battle if need be...well um, I think I got quite the luck...not only is the person who is helping me handsome but hes a king!

She chuckled and smirked

"Haha, indeed. Good to see you didn't run off. Some folks would." Krest laughed again, though a bit more nervously as he scratched his chin again. Nervous habit that. "Well, come along. I'll show you around." His ship wasn't some luxury cruiser, thoug it certainly looked it at a first glance. Classic to Iridonian culture a number of guns rested around its wings and its sleek plate was thick armor.

On board it was definitely function. Each room was simole in design, filled with only what was necessary. Krest lead her through each, explaining what he coukd given he wasn't exactly a good pilot or knowing what was what.

[member="Krest"]

heh, not like I have many choices either, I'd be stupid to run off haha

Tapping her finger on her hip she tried to contain how nervous she was...she was working for a freaking king! Not just any snobby royalty but a king who is a mercenary! Getting closer to the ship her eyes lit up like a kid in a candy store, a hand brushed over the plating before eyes glanced over each gun stopping a bit as she remembered the name for each.

Following him inside it seemed quite simple really, all the neccessary things to live away from home for a little bit. While simple its styling was something she had never seen before and it amazed her

good thing im here....no offense kre... lord krest...

She said wondering if that was the appropriate title

theres a lot here your skipping out on like this here

She started going over some of the controls eyes and hands moving naturally as she explained in depth about them and some of the guns as well and alternate uses before stopping and chuckling

ah...sorry of I got rambling been awhile...

"Krest is fine." He commented idly as they went about the tour. Last thing he wanted was to be called a Lord again. He left the Sith for a reason. Krest watched [member="Sara Lee Jones"] as she explored the ship. Even buzzed the woman showed how much of a pilot she actually was. He listened to her in depth explanation with a patient smile. Not that he understood half of what she was saying, but he wanted to.

"Nah Sara, you're fine. I'm actually learning something so that's good."

[member="Krest"]

krest heh, just krest huh? Quite a down to planet person

Stopping she frowned, looking around the thing she turned towards a maintenance panel and looked over the wiring a bit as she rubbed her chin and looked back up at him

do you have any tools on board? Whoever wired this put them in wrong it's a mess! These need to be organized up like soon

It bothered her greatly, once she got the tools she started taking apart the wiring and started moving then around hands moving quickly as she spoke to herself stopping weve si often as she looked at a wire then placed it in and closed it

done, that wasnt as bad as I thought

"Yeah, I uh. Try to be." His blue eyes watched [member="Sara Lee Jones"] as she suddenly got to work fixing the mess of the maintenance panel someone left. Well, he left. He coughed at her comment, glancing around. "Uh, yeah. Shouldn't of trusted that.. Guy.. To do.. The cord stuff." Krest once again scratched his chin, a nervous tick, before nodding once she was finished.

"I appreciate you fixin that up though."

[member="Krest"]

She didnt notice his glancing around while fixing the wiring, to focused on getting everything right but once she finished and turned back to him catching him a bit as she chuckled

just doing my job right? I'm sure theres more but I'll fix it once I'm rested and have a proper, either way it's a good ship well taken care of actually

Yawning a bit she let a breath out

you...you mind if I take a nap before we take off? I rather not fly to tired been awhile since I've slept a bit

Dhe looked really tired, bags formed under her eyes

"I'm glad it's at least taken care of." He coughed again, hiding that wounded pride [member="Sara Lee Jones"] had been twisting the knife in both. But he swallowed that pride as she asked where to sleep. "Ah right, I still only have the one bed. You can nap there. I'll work on some food, probably. Sound good?" Krest smiled politely, pointing out the room. "If you need anything let me know yeah? I won't be far."

[member="Krest"]

yeah...that sound so perfect actually get some proper food heh

She made her way towards the room placing a hand on the doorway as she glanced back listening to him and offered a friendly smile to him as she bowed her head and nodded

will do krest and...thank you...thank you for getting me out of a hole before I went six feet under

Wih that she entered the room, she barely got on the bed and hit the pillow before she passed out no dreams just straight to sleep as her body desperately needed

"Not a problem. Rest up Sara." He gave her a light wave before turning back into his ship, glancing around. They weren't gonna go anywhere until [member="Sara Lee Jones"] woke up, so he might as well keep himself busy. Unsure on how long she was going to sleep he ended up doing prep work for danishes. Which was a lot of rolling out dough and layering a sheet of butter within. Fold, roll out, fold, roll out. There was a lot of labor intense work with rolling it out, but once he was finished it was an easy task to set up the pastries.

A wide variety of danishes were made. From Bearclaws to Stars, each filled with different fruits and cheeses. It had been hours since he started, and he was only now about to finish them off by finally baking them, which would only take about ten or so minutes.

[member="Krest"]

Time was a blur for her she didnt know how much time had passed, however while she slept a few dreams came to her. One was about her first day as a actual fighter pilot in the first order navy just being assigned to the 100th, going out on her first combat mission and earning her first kill watching the enemy explode as that green laser made contact on that after engine and disappear

Next came darkness again, then waking up in a hospital bed her left arm missing...this was right after the battle in which she delivered the killing shot right to a giant super laser...the omega incident

Suddenly she smelled...fruits? Her eyes opened slowly looking around, how did she get here? Everything clicked into place as she swung her legs out and smiled standing

well...wasn't all a dream...good...

Speaking to herself before she opened the door and spotted krest baking as she leaned agaisnt the frame smirking

you know, for a guy your stature that's quiet a thing to see...not a bad thing but...good

Seemed he could cook...and she could repair things...least she disnt have to worry at all

"Idle hands y'know? I can swing a sword and beat a mans skull in with my fists, but I gotta make sure I can still handle the more delicate things in the galaxy. Danishes for example." As he spoke he pulled open the oven, pulling free the baked goods and setting the hot tray on the counter within the room. "They should be cool enough to eat in a little bit. You sleep well? Any hangover?" Krest smirked at his question as he stepped over to [member="Sara Lee Jones"] , glancing her over.

"You look rested."

[member="Krest"]

heh, most of my time was spent usually keeping in shape, practicing, studying, or otherwise keeping busy till the next mission came around so...sorta not used to the simple things like this

Pushing off the wall she walked Dover the smell of the danishes wafting through the air as she took a deep breath and gave a smile looking up to him as she nodded and stretched popping few joints sighing

little bit of a headache actually nothing sever I cant recover from really

She had like most pilot would, fit body type well muscled enough you likely wouldnt want to fight her on the ground either

got any medicine I can take help get a rid of it?

"Yeah, should be in the infirmary. Help yourself to whatever. I'll get some plates set up." He turned from her, smirking to himself as he continued to look her over from the corner of his eye for a second longer. She was certainly attractive to say the least. He set about gathering a couple of plates to put an assortment of the pastries atop in a rather professional looking way, setting them down on the table and moving to get some glasses of blue milk.

Milk and danishes were always a good combo.
