Dogpile! (Rebel Alliance raid on Styx)

Anemone Nivalis

M.D., Expert Trauma Surgeon
Great! Now Siohbhan had joined in with driod-woman in causing mass chaos. Add to it that the girl she didn't even know was spreading brains all over the place. For a moment, she felt a bit left out. Useless even. How she she supposed to keep up with all that? It was just like her days in the Republic, everyone around her running around, guns blazing while she had to stand back and watch. Though, before she could feel too sorry for herself, a hand landed on her shoulder. It was none other than Dells, obviously. But the thought that someone who was close to her not only had her back, but was right there with her made things so much better. A small chuckle even came through her lips as the backpack that had to be filled with..who knows what was placed on her shoulders. A little nudge was all the former captain needed.

"If your thinking like that, your the sick one. Maybe someone really does need a boyfriend. Before they get too desperate, that is." Things were feeling normal...sort of. Anemone grabbed the blaster pistols from the holsters on her legs, pointing them out forward as she began to move forward behind the others. She didn't hold grudges. And if they were going to all all make it off unscathed, they needed to work like a team. Well, none of them really needed her help unless they ere hurt, but the point remained. "They can't keep this up forever. What do you say we give them a little back up?"

She felt oddly...at ease.

Maybe that was because she ignored all the banter around the sith-torturing talk from earlier. The haunted look she caught from the brazen-Mandalorian was enough to give the Galan a clue that they could sit down for hours over a cup of caf chatting it up about a shared experience. It was a conversation she would not likely have.

She barely even gave Judah details.

Her lack of jitters was most likely because she was currently behind the bionic-blond bombshell and Dell's drinking-slash-hooks-her-up-with-guys buddy. Rifle was in her hands and for once, she let others do the work for her, waiting to peel off a side hallway to complete the shopping run. Iced-azure gaze found Judah's. She had something to tell him.

It would be best to wait until after the haul. If he knew, he never would've let her join Jorus and the band of rebels plus guests on this merry little raid.

Seemed he was the only one with jitters on this grocery run. Perhaps it was due to the fact a nerd with a mellow personality should not be performing raids against the very Sith and Empire that has caused so much trouble in his life. Seemed like poking a hornets nest with a very short stick. Yet with blaster bolts zooming close to his shaggy head, it wasn't the best time to be introspective.

Catching Thessa's eye, he gave a small smile and hoisted up his blaster into position as they crept along. He couldn't quite see over the soldiers ahead, but by the increased sound of fire they had to be getting a little closer to their targets.

"Desperate? Hardly. Dying creditless and alone? Probable." Ducking as a stray bolt came her way, Delila was advancing on the others from her back position, slowly pushing up against the ranks of the Rebels. Blaster fire sounded more furious then before and she reached back into her bag, pulling out a thermal detonator. They were wasting time and tibanna gas on the stormtrooper. It was time to take Nivalis' suggestion and just...make it interesting.

"You're going up front? This I gotta see...hold on..."

Activating the device, Dells chucked it over the Rebels and into their enemy up ahead. Now if it didn't collapse the corridor they would be golden.

"You know, Dells, you should come over to Kaeshana. I know all the good clubs. Eldorai malelings would really love a commanding redhead," Siobhan called out to her former XO, apparently having decided to be a troll again.

Blaster fire furiously came shooting their way as stormtroopers put up a valiant defence. It did not seem to be slowing Moira down, who was mowing down unfortunate grunts through dual bolter wielding, pieces of the already damaged wall being blasted in the onslaught of explosive bolts. At the same time as Delila tossed her thermal detonator Siobhan unleashed her powers and in a power grip seized a number of stormtroopers, pulling them into the air before smashing them down like ragdolls with such force to break bones, a chunk of the damaged wall was seized and thrown at them. The powerful explosion of the detonator rocked the corridor, sending troopers flying through the air and tearing off limbs, collapsing a chunk of the wall.

The path inside seemed clear for now, Moira quickly taking point and cutting down surviving troopers, in one case simply bashing one boltgun into the helmet of a trooper. The assassin droid had been damaged somewhat by blaster salvoes, but that did not stop the unstoppable force of pure murderous intent.

"Nice, just like old times, eh, Dells?"

THE shotgun, as @[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"] was prone to call it with deliberate emphasis, roared CryoBan all over a pair of Blackblade Legion elite troopers. Jorus strode through the iced-over passage, reloading the Mandalorian shell gun. The breech snicked shut, and he levelled the massive double-barrelled shotgun through a side door.

WHAKKARABOOM

He glanced in and noted a massive biotech facility, germ warfare everywhere, all of it frozen to death inside glasteel tubes. With a shrug, he closed the door and pulled out a marker.

DO NOT ENTER.

@[member="Jorus Merrill"]

Moira looked...very disapproving, as close as a stoic, unemotional machine could when THE shotgun's cryoban rounds were unleashed on the biotech facility, instantly freezing the beautiful germs and virus cultures to death as frost and ice spread. Really, it was such a tremendous waste! Silly organics could not use their resources properly and grasp opportunities, they were good for nothing but purging.

Alas, presently she could not do what she really wanted to do. The next best thing was to beat up the annoying organic vermin that was foolish enough to stand in her way. Such as those annoying Blackblade elite legionaires. Her dual boltguns roared, raining down death upon the ants, explosive bolts being thunked out at a fast paced rate as she strode across the iced-over passage, relentless, unstoppable in face of the salvoes being shot her way, unhindered in her progress by the ice, either too fast to be hit by the fire or just twitching as her body was peppered.

A legionaire, wisening up, gripped a thermal detonator and tossed it towards her, his thick black armour being strong enough to sustain her bombardment though blast and shrapnel took its toll. The assassin droid leapt even before he tossed the thermal, jumping high through the air, the blast catching and propelling her forward as part of the ceiling was ripped apart and caved in, while the ice was blown apart and liquid flooded the corridor. Firing while she jumped though the elite soldier dodged, though one of his comrades being less lucky, she pretty much rammed and tackled him, her full body weight being slammed into him and brought him down, bones snapping.

The legionaire tried to throw her off and, gripping a strong vibroblade rammed it into her chest while his other hand gripped a grenade, such was his fanaticism. Before he could pull the pin while at the same time plunging the blade in deeper, she seized his hand, breaking it in a snap, picked him up and slammed him through the damaged and scorched wall so that his helmet was smashed and his head turned to jellie, then spun to throw him in one of his comrades, gunning him with the mark two bolter down as he tried to dodge. Then she found time to pull the offending blade out and stab down a wounded, half-frozen soldier through the mouth, putting the poor fellow out of his misery.

Walking across the piles of corpses that littered the frozen corridor she came across what seemed to be an armoury. Not bothering to hack the computer console she resorted to the time and tested method of kicking the door down just because she could. No need to be subtle when you did not have to!

"Almost like old times Colonel. The ceiling is still up for one. No one has been seriously injured yet either."

Delila managed to get a peek at the facility. Imagine the possibilities! Yet they had raided that laboratory on Endor and she supposed they could not continually horde potentially deadly diseases and not do anything with them. If the Rebels had the credits and perhaps were a little more enterprising, drugs to treat the diseases could be made and thus a tidy profit. Or it could get them labeled as some type of terrorists cornering the pharmaceutical market, releasing the germs only to treat them. Dells could already imagine the rumors floating around.

Catching the commotion going ahead of her, she was able to see the ceiling being ripped down.

"Oh wait, there goes the ceiling."

As they came upon the armory, Delila turned her back to the door and faced outward. There were other corridors that led in. She could watch the others backs while creepy-droid bot led everyone in for shopping.

"Go ahead, Nivalis and I will get your backs."

Jorus bit the bullet and bought time for his best friends. A double-barrel blast of buckshot turned Blackblades to burgermeat. Breaking bulkheads and burning bridges, Jorus broke the breech as he barged alliteratively through the best and brightest Blackblades. By bombarding them with blasts from his HeadBanger, he bargained them down to bystander status, albeit brokenly.
A bumper crop of barely buyable bombs and battle gear found blessed rest in a repulsor barge. Boy howdy!

The armoury was a treasure trove containing...guns...Lots of guns.
http://youtu.be/Y70vcs3oV14

Along with armour, explosives and many, many other toys. All neatly stacked upon weapons rack after weapons rack. A Blackblade trooper had the misfortune of connecting with one of those very shelves when Moira rammed him and pushed him with great force with the open palms of her hands, sending him flying backwards against a shelf, head hitting it and his high-powered disruptor rifle falling out of his grasp. As he was just trying to get his bearings a heavy, mean-looking minigun fell on top of him, along with a chainsaw blade that ate most of his right shoulder, effectively taking him out of the game after the intruders had been so concussively unkind. The life of an elite mook of a malevolent magocracy was indeed an ungrateful one.

Powerful explosions resonated as with her mind Siobhan plucked several grenades free from her belt and telekinetically hurled them with great force at the attacking troopers as a gust of wind swept through the air and blossomed into a whirlwind, producing a powerful blast, legionaires and limbs flying, barely affordable equipment, which in some cases was worth more than the entire budget of certain banana republics, was shredded along with portions of the walls. At a command in her mind fresh magazines leaped into her dual bolters, the weapons roaring as they sprayed out death.

The creepy fem-bot had already moved into the armoury, a cry was heard as an unfortunate guard, or perhaps just the fellow doing the inventory, got his neck snapped, and Siobhan moved in after her. Moira was already helping herself, moving through the El Dorado of any arms collector, galactic conqueror or terrorist, with the precision of a machine that knew what she wanted. A set of ultrachrome armour having found their way into a container, along with metal-eating grenades. Just briefly the two shared a look...both could agree that the collection was...beautiful.

Yes, the two actually agreed on something. Mustafar had frozen over, it was a portent of the end of days!

While outside guns still roared and a large portion of the ceiling caved in, Siobhan began working off her shopping list. Sets of ultrachrome stormtrooper armour, several metal-eating insect grenades, anti-Mandalorian electromagnetic mines, baradium charges and several web rifles landed in a large plastoid container, some for herself, some for Dells, since the redhead was so kind to stand guard. Presumably later on Siobhan could be put to good use as a levitation using pack mule! She examined one of the chainsaw blades briefly, running a hand over the hilt. Bionic eye flared up briefly, it reminded her of the blade the Primarch had used to cut off her leg, then she grabbed two of it.

Stepping over the dead bodies, Judah entered the armory. The destruction twins had put a small number on the area around all the goods, which made him wonder the stability of the facility. Or the integrity of the grenades inside. Wasn't there a few types that exploded if you barely breathed on them? Or dropped them? All he could do was mentally shrug and pray they didn't get blown to bits in the process of raiding.

The armory wasn't his thing, but he stuffed some small items in his pack for his fellow Rebels. Judah was more interested in those sonic screwdrivers. He was going to have to break off from the group and go exploring near a hangar or maintenance closet.

As he stepped back into the hallway, Judah looked up. The ceiling had been blown out, revealing the duct work. Lightbulbs went off in his head, thats how he was going to get to where he needed undetected.Slipping back into the armory, he pushed out a crate to give himself a boost.Positioning it underneath the best opening, Judah stood on his platform and gave a small jump. Rough hands connected with a beam and he pulled himself up into the access shafts.

With the path clear, and Siobhan beginning her shopping spree, Anemone laughed slightly as her blasters lowered to her side. She couldn't help but smile as she stood aside Dells, watching Kerrigan lose her screws over the things she was finding in the armory. "Hey, uh, Lady..... I mean, Siobhan. If you find some good blasters in there, would you mind grabbing one or two for me? I mean, these are good, but standard issue only gets you so far. Especially Republic standard issue." Her gaze shifted to Dells as she let out heavy sigh. That was probably the most awkward thing she'd ever had to do. Why couldn't she just open her mouth speak to her one on one?! Well, other than the fact that, you know. no need to into it...again.

That, and she still needed to find what she was looking for. "So, dear sister, what did you come steal? I mean, acquire. I know you didn't just come for the fun."

Moira, having just finished stuffing her container with various implements of terror - it appeared she liked the chainsaw blade as well and a rather hefty explosive device that had been liberated from a compartment when Siobhan was not looking - cocked her head slightly as the organic called Anemone Nivalis spoke. Briefly her gaze moved to Kerrigan, who looked very much like a kid in a candy store, before she turned back to Anemone.

"If you wish to indulge in reproductive rituals, do not do so on the gun table. I am sure the base has a shower somewhere," she said, you guessed it, impassively, because apparently even the assassin droid wanted to be a troll. Moira noticed that the nerdy human male with a love for mermaids and a lack of appetite for bloodshed had ascended upward to sneak through an access shaft. Given the fact that there were still plenty of guards around, chances were that he might end up getting shot at once he reached wherever he wanted to go. However, Moira was a firm believer in free choice and so she made no attempt to stop him.

Stuffing more of the grenades and electromagnetic mines into her container, along with guns and armour. The web rifle should be most useful for capturing forcers...the better to ascend them and make new tools of the Age of Steel. She cradled an oversized, probably extremely powerful missile launcher. She had an inkling she would use it quite soon. Her real prize lay in the hangar bay. Based on the blueprints a long corridor should lead there from here. Doubtless well guarded, doubtless she would suffer quite a bit of damage, doubtless they would be terminated.

Mia had moved a few feet down the corridor while the girls raided the armory, crouched on one knee, he armor was covered in a fine layer of dust from the ceilings collapse. She stayed there for a moment, extending her senses. satisfied they had a brief break she shouldered her scattergun and moved to a console, pulling the Bard's servodriver from her belt she set to work slicing her way through the system. first the alarms fell silent, then the communications were jammed. She smiled before moving back to the armory, just in time to catch Moira's snark.

"The queen-bot strikes again." she chuckled shaking her head "I'm amazed you're still in on piece Tincan, with a tongue like that you should have cut yourself in half by now." She picked up a piece of armor, inspecting it for a moment before returning it to its place and collecting a vast array of grenades and charges. She paused at a web rifle, trying to work out whether she would use it or not before coming to the conclusion she was better off taking it just in case. She slid it over her shoulder. "Are we done yet? There's some toys in the hangar I want to play with."

Speaking of hangar…

She frowned, catching her fiancé’s six disappear into some vents, alone. Did he want to get his skin flayed again? “What in star’s name…if Sparky was here that droid would beep you a new one,” angry mutter left a pair of aqua lips as she stepped back, the plating beneath her feet suddenly rumbling, concaving, and disappearing.

It seemed as though the structural integrity of the station couldn’t keep up with the effects of surrounding destruction and mayhem due to a rampaging machine-she-hulk and Dell's bar bud.

“Chiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit,” the profanity left her lips as she fell into open space, feet hitting one of those elite starfighters on her shopping list. She tumbled and rolled off the round top of the cockpit, a sharp pain shooting up her ankle as she came to a tangled, heaping stop as a pile of twisted limbs in the space between the wings. The broken flooring clatter-clacked to the hanger floor around her, followed by an onslaught of kill-bolts toward her position.

Moira turned her head slightly as Mia spoke. One could see the gears moving in her mind as she pondered...something. Perhaps how much destruction the former Mandalore would cause if she were processed, perhaps how beautiful all that knowledge of Velok must be. Or she was playing pazaak in her head or pondering the feability of quantum tunneling. Figuring out just what made an HRD tick was not the easiest of tasks.

"I like you. The mechanical tongue is far more efficient," she said randomly, something she did sometimes, in her most conversational tone. Then suddenly before Kerrigan could make a 'snarky' comment, not that she would care anyway, the floor beneath the mermaid who seemed quite happy outside an aquarium caved in and she fell into the pit of horrors, the endless abyss, where assuredly Cthulhu lurked...Well, upon reflection not quite. Admittedly as a certain Zabrak Sith Lord had taught us, falling into a bottomless pit is perfectly survivable, even after being bisected.

Rather than falling into the gaping maw of an eldritch abomination she fell into the hangar, as the debris that had formed the plating smashed on to the ground and heavy clouds of smoke and dust rose up into the air. Within seconds countless blaster bolts were streaking through the air, as if she had awakened a hornet's nest and countless white and black armoured hornets were coming out from everywhere.

"We have a short-cut," Moira spoke flatly as she took ahold of the missile launcher and, aiming at a particularly aggressive group of hornets that were advancing through the blast door beneath them, depressed the trigger and with a loud whoosh the missile shot through the air and the thick smoke. Out of the corner of her eye she could see Kerrigan leaping down, a furious volley of kill-bolts being shot towards her as her blade hummed, troopers being raised by her telekinetic will and pulled towards her, one being ran through before he could get a shot off, others smashed back onto the floor. A powerful explosion blossomed as the blast door was ripped apart, sending debris flying through along with the mangled, burnt bodies of troopers.

Fortunately, there were quite a few elite starfighters in the hangar.

Even as the missile was flying Moira had leapt down. A frag grenade tossed through the air blew up and caught in the blast she was thrown through the air, armour being shredded and skin burnt by blast and shrapnel, before spinning and landing right on top of a Blackblade trooper, her full body weight, which, without going into specifics, was a lot more than her delicate frame imply, crashing into him. Her thighs murderously enclosed around his throat as he tumbled down and as he struggled and plunged a knife into her leg, she squeezed and twisted...hard...till there was a crunch and he ceased struggling, having given up the ghost.

@[member="Anemone Nivalis"] @[member="Thessa Kai"] @[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]

"Oh I don't know Nivalis. I'm just out for the fresh air. The items are useful, but sometimes its worth it to stretch the old legs."

With a grin plastered across her face, Delila was just about to start round two of teasing. Especially with Nivalis calling Siobhan 'Lady'. The opportunity was far too excellent to pass up. Just as she was going to make a comment about bedroom names in public, the entire section of flooring started to rumble. Was the planet suffering from an earthquake? If they were frequent, why was Sith construction so terrible?

She quickly found her answer as the floor gave way around them. Thessa immediately dropped with the building materials, shots being fired from below. Of course, Delila had to follow her best friend into the abyss! Getting close to the edge, the redhead dropped down on the same elite starfighter Thessa had fell upon. Although she did it much more gracefully, not injuring her ankles but giving her ancient knees a bit of a shock.

Jumping down from the fighter, Delila grabbed the mermaids arm, dragging her to fallen debris for cover. The redhead fired back at the various stormtroopers and soldiers assembled. They were quickly falling, thanks to help from the crazy fembot.

"Way to make an entrance Kid."

Talk about having a jaw about to hit the floor. She was being trolled. Again! And now, by a robot! Dells was one thing, she could even take Ssiobhan joining in. But the android?! Everyone has their pride. Not even she could take it from something that could be disassembled by a scrapyard junker.

Missing everything Dells had said, Anemone turned to glare at the murderous robot, disbelief on her face. "Reproductive rituals?! Of all people, or things, your the last one to...." Probably best what happened next. Shake. Rumble. Other sounds that meant something massive and heavy is breaking and about to collapse can go here as well.

Her eyes widened as suddenly, the floor beneath the armory caved in, the bodies dropping like lead weight. As to be expected, Dells rushed forward, leaping into the hole after the others. There wasn't need to be shocked at that. Anyone who didn't think she would jump after Thessa was insane. In a bad way. Anemone, herself looked over the edge of the whole and down below, her eyes locked on Moira she pointed and laughed. "Ha! Serves you right!" Of course, as karma would have it, she looked about. One thing was very noticeable. She was alone. In a Imperial station. By herself. Looking up to the ceiling, she shook her over and over again. "Seriously?! Seriously?!"

Seriously. Into the hole she leaped, down into the nest of excitement and blaster fire.... Was she freaking crazy?! By now, the answer was probably yes.

Shockingly, she landed on her feet. Not shockingly, she stumbled forward and fell on her face. Anemone rose to her hands and knees, as she looked at the path of bodies left by the mechanical man-eater before looking to Dells and Thessa. "Falling through floors? Seriously? Seriously?!"

"You actually jumped down Nivalis? You're improving." Dells looked to her Galan best friend, looking over for injuries. Wait, why was she bothering? They had a surgeon on hand. One of the best in all of Protectorate space. Or had been one of the best until she left. Protectorate loss was her gain.

"Nivalis, get over here and attend to Kai. Its time to put your doctoring skills to work."

@[member="Anemone Nivalis"], @[member="Delila Castillon"], @[member="Thessa Kai"]

"What are the odds soon she'll be as nuts as the rest of us and want to blow stuff up?" Siobhan gracefully glided down onto the ground after having been suspended high up in the air, slashing incoming blaster bolts with her sabre or sending troopers and debris sprawling across the hangar with her powers. She was undoubtedly showing off just a bit, telekinesis controlling her descent as she threw the wreckage of the destroyed door at retreating troopers.

Crates with stolen equipment had likewise been pulled down by gravity when suddenly the floor plating was ripped to shreds but with a gesture she caught them so that they could land safely. She wiped her forehead as she landed, wiping off a bead of sweat as she surveyed the carnage that lay before them with a satisfied smirk. Debris from the floor above, the mangled and beaten corpses of Imperial troopers and thick layers of dust covered the hangar, though the prize fighters were still there for them to requisition, aside from one that had sadly gotten its wings blasted. She had been relying on the force quite heavily during the assault, years of fighting and battering ramming had taken their toll on her body. The skin of her bionic hand was ripped and shredded in places from where shrapnel had struck her.

"Her doctoring skills or her 'doctoring skills'?" she could not resist making the lame quip in response to Delila. Protectorate loss was indeed their gain. It almost seemed like most of the cool people from the old days had shown up - Moira did not count, of course! But assuredly the remainder would ride boldly and well. Not that Siobhan cared much - she was invested in so little these days.
