Does the new trilogy exist in our timeline?

As the title says really, if Episode VII and its sequels exist in the timeline of SWRP.

I know Legacies is still canon here, was wondering if there was some mish mash of the two to make the new trilogy also exist. So there was no Rey, or Kylo Ren, etc.?

Considering there's a major faction called 'The First Order', I'd say it's at least somewhat in the timeline.

Yeah, but if you read about the faction, it has everything the film's First Order has. Supreme Leader, Knights of Ren, ect. RP wise, I think it's safe to say that the major faction was inspired by or is the First Order presented in Episode 7.

We don't strictly follow SW canon here. What is canon here is what actually happens on the board. Everything on wookieepedia can be considered history for... well, whatever's relevant for your character. Use what suits you, within reason, but by the same token, don't rely on canon too much, because it's not the be-all and end-all. Canon sticklers honestly get on people's nerves.

Yes. But the SWRP timeline is about 800+ years past the events of the films, so it's easy to work with

That would mean, best-case scenario, that the First Order of the movies is born in the aftermath of the Yuuzhan Vong...

There was an event called the Four-Hundred Year Darkness in our board's pre-history that insinuated a massive loss in recorded history, which caused most of the history before the Darkness to be lost, misplaced, or just simply mistranslated.

We have some ideas about what went down before the Darkness, and a lot of the main individuals, events, and wars are accurate, but there's a lot of stuff that's fuzzy.

Some sources say that the Emperor came back to life six years after the Battle of Endor, some say stayed dead after Endor.

Some say that the Sith came back in the form of Lumiya and Caedus, and some say the Knights of Ren replaced them.

One day we'll get those records fixed.
