A Disturbance on Orto Plutonia

Location: Icy Wastelands of Orto Plutonia
Objective: Set the scene

It was the dead of night and there was a blizzarding snowfall besides that. But no one needed the Force to know something was very wrong. The small group of Pantoran explorers had passed by a Talz village left in ruins not two hours ago. There was discussion amongst the group that they should turn back, or should at least stop there for the night and hope that whatever caused the destruction would not return to the same place. But the leaders of the group insisted on moving forward. The Pantora Mining Company had paid them well to search out a new site. There was also talk of a factory to make military transports to be placed on the planet. Time was money. And the leaders of this expedition liked credits.

The two scouts on their speeders had been out of contact for twenty minutes now. Vero Tane was the true leader in the expedition, though he shared some of the responsibilities, was sitting at the sensors station of the larger transport that carried the other seven members of the survey team. He tisked to himself as he gazed at the screen in front of him. The snow made readings unreliable and even in this weather there was always a group of
Narglatch around so when a lifeform was confirmed it was hard to know what it was.

One thing was for sure looking at the instruments: those speeder bikes were either out of range of the sensors or they were not operating at the moment. Vero cursed his luck. “I don’t suppose comms are handling this snow any better than sensors are?”

“Local comms are nothing as soon as you get out of the transport,” Vala Irak, his second in command, responded quickly. “Inter-planetary comms work just fine though if you want to get us out of here.” Vala had been the most vocal proponent of abandoning their task and finding work somewhere else. She was the calm steady one so her hesitation took Vero by surprise, but he needed this payday. He’d invested too much to give up now.

“Wait,” he said as suddenly a slew of lifeforms appeared on the sensors. They were moving fast, and they were coming right towards them. “What do you see out there?” he questioned the driver of the transport.

“A bunch of movement,” the driver yelped. “Gotta be Narglatch. What else could it be?”

Vero knew the driver was right, but what would cause these movements. “That’s the biggest pack I’ve ever seen. If they attack I’m not sure if the transport will keep us safe.”

The transport likely would not have kept them safe, but the Narglatch were not what was doing the hunting this night. Not what the crew had to fear. Suddenly the transport came to a complete stop. “Why are you stopping?” Vero yelled out. Something banged loudly into the transport, Vero was quite sure it was at the front of the vehicle, but he couldn’t be sure.

“Uh. Boss,” the driver stammered. “I can see what has the Narglatch spooked. And whatever it is just threw one of the speeders at us. It’s glowing and I’m pretty sure it’s got something in its arms?”

“Can we get out of here now Vero?” Vala requested urgently.

“Place a distress call,” Vero submitted. “At least have someone else come out here and look things over. “What the hell is out there?” Vala wasn’t concerned about that anymore and went to work placing the distress call back to
Installation B2

Another member of the crew rushed over to the front viewport. “We don’t want to know what that is.” He smacked the driver in the back. “Why are we just sitting here? Reverse. Forward. I don’t care what direction. Don’t leave us just sitting here.”

But it was too late. The thrown speeder bike had disabled the engine. To get it going again someone would have to go outside. And none volunteered for that task. In the end someone should have tried. Instead they sat and waited for help that wouldn’t reach them in time. The
Leviathan took every semblance of being that had existed in each member of the team, devoured them and moved on to sleep the day away.

When the team from Installation B2 found the wrecked transports of the team it was obvious this was not a result of a Talz attack or Narglatch even. Something nefarious was about. They called Pantora and requested a team with more military capabilities to help them figure out what had happened.

Naivia Neryn

At the beginning of it all...
Travelling through the various sectors of the galaxy has always reminded Neryn of a certain game of hide and seek, you never knew in which system and on which planet you would meet any particular threat that could put you in a different world and this added a certain degree of excitement to the frantic race with time and space, trying to catch any interesting changes in the air and force around and inside yourself. In the end, Neryn
In the Sujimis sector, far from the centre of the galaxy and therefore the most interesting of all the places she planned to visit in the future, she was often told about the powerful and terrifying Leviathan, apex predators of the local flora and fauna, but she did not count on luck and so at first she reached the last possible stop on Pantora, where she would go to the least explored areas and maybe the planets of the system.
While she sat in a cafe and drank the nice disgusting tea, she could catch vague waves that at first gently lapped around her soul and then sharply struck the shore, making her aware of their source, that they were far away and possibly dangerous. Neryn huffed and rented a small civilian fighter jet to Orto Plutonia, which was radiating the natural element of its host, who was apparently awake and wandering through the icy wastelands of the lonely planet.
Once there, Neryn first put on a warm coverall with a dress-like hem, it was both warm and in a sense safe, after that, she carefully stepped on the crisp snowy surface and turning her back to the local star began to look gradually shifting source of the cry. After a couple of hours of searching, the first signs of cold began to appear, a slight frost was going through the inner folds of her clothes and somewhere it was even becoming unpleasant and painful to breathe because of which
the girl began to use her strength to quickly find her goal, which surprisingly was not too far away! The smell and aura of a real and living Leviathan wafted over the pile of massive technical bodies, Neryn carefully surveyed the area and set about fixing the little snowbikes to get to the threat as quickly as possible, but just at that moment a loud roar rang out two kilometres away, which caused the entire snow
filled with electrified particles of sound and the chilling wind intensified, accelerating and condensing around the girl. Her fiery coloured eyes aimed more intently at the shrewd animal scream "generator" and began to quickly consider her plan of action as Leviathan approached his tasty new lure.

The six troopers loaded into the shuttle that had been converted into an armored troop carrier. “I hope the Expansionists get control of the assembly. Maybe then we would get some newer, better equipment. I mean if they think I’m a good pilot with this garbage, imagine a shiny new starfighter.”

“Squad’s all strapped in ma’am,” came over the ship’s internal comm.

Imella growled into her mic. “If you’re going to be formal, address me by rank. Otherwise Imella or ‘Ice’. If I hear ma’am come out of one of your mouths I will come back there and shut it, understand?”

All six troopers replied in the affirmative using her rank and last name. She sighed. This wasn’t what she got into the academy for. Shuttling grunts from Pantora to Orto Plutonia was hardly work for someone as accomplished as she was. But since they weren’t pushing any local boundaries to expand Pantoran authority, the current government was looking for allies to defend them, and there was no active threat, this mission was as good as staying home and dealing with general unrest.

The team landed a good distance from the last reported location of the lost survey team. From there Imella sent the troopers in pairs in different directions to converge on the red zone for the mission. She took the middle on her own. Pantorans were used to the cold, but Imella had never visited Orto Plutonia where it was even colder than anyplace she could remember being. She pulled a scarf around her mouth and started off, hand on the blaster at her hip.

Imella was the first to reach the terrible trash heap that was the survey team’s transport. She was about to rush in when she saw another being among the trash, trying to repair one of the bikes. She thought to call out, but before she could a loud roar came from the distance. Imella shivered a little, not from the cold, but the feeling of dread that whatever came for the survey team was back.

The Leviathan showed itself quickly and Imella rushed to the being, she could now see enough to guess it was a woman of human or near-human species. There was that weird tingle that Imella sometimes got in the back of her head. It was coming from both the woman and the huge creature that did not belong on Orto Plutonia. Blaster in hand she beat the Leviathan to the woman’s side. “I’d say hi,” Imella quipped to the stranger. “But I think there’ll be time for pleasantries later. Don’t suppose you know what that is?”

At the beginning of it all...
"Leviathan, not of the largest size, is a native predator. It has certain interesting biological facts, but the most useful thing will be the fact that even though it communicates using its voice and larynx, it is capable of creating traps, so there's no point in chasing it. I'll use the force to stop him, buy you some time while you take a couple of good shots so he'll at least be immobilized and have his neural system shut down.

Pronounced Neryn and swiftly moved to the side starting to sharply gather force around the weakest parts of the huge creature and after a moment while he wasn't far away covered her eyes and sharply hands lifted his body into the air a couple dozen meters and easily tossed him against the icy ground with a very stiff blow

"This is your chance, shoot it down! Shoot it down ! I can still control his body movement, but he won't let me do it mentally for long, and it takes so much time to control him, which neither I nor you unfortunately have, so physically you'd better hit it now!"

At the same time Neryn still used the extra strength to continue mounting the transport as by her nature she was used to surviving on her own and never counting on help, especially from an alien voice unknown to her so far, which was here most likely at the request of her commander rather than the personal aesthetic interest she held in the most interesting and forgotten places in the galaxy, as she was used to leading her lifestyle through and thanks to them!

Imella was shocked when the woman stated the monster charging at them was native to Orto Plutonia. She had never heard of anything this destructive striking a Pantoran site or even the primitive Talz. But Orto Plutonia was a big place and a good portion of it was too extreme for habitation.

As Imella let the possibility that there were more of these things out there settle in her mind the young woman beside her sprung into action. Not physical action but with her mind and the help of the Force. The Force was something that Imella was familiar with. She knew that she had a connection to it, stronger than most, which made the Jedi want her as a young girl. She knew that she could use the Force to anticipate movement of her ship, her opponents and other factors in piloting. But she hadn’t cared enough to experience the power that this strange woman held.

Imella watched in amazement as the creature was lifted into the air and slammed back to the ground. The woman must have been holding it still because she told Imella to shoot it. The young Pantoran pilot didn’t waste any time. She used every last shot available in the power pack of her pistol.

The beast seemed to stop moving as Imella reached to her hip for another power pack just in case. “Is it dead?” she questioned the woman who had gotten to a better position to keep the monster at bay. “Lieutenant Imella Flyve with the Pantora Defense by the way,” she introduced herself while trying to keep her eyes on the target and catch her breath.

Naivia Neryn

At the beginning of it all...
Neryn's reassuring voice was heard in response, which was joyful that she had been able to help and at the same time that the creature before her had ended up unconscious for at least a couple of weeks so far, and at most, it would count for nothing. She carefully shook the lieutenant's hand and introduced herself, adding no ranks, just the simplest of information.
"Naivia Neryn , by name simply Neryn , I am a traveller and lover of exploring the most uninhabited parts of the galaxy, I hope I can still help with the job? "

The girl looked determined and was capable of much if both external circumstances and her own opinion/desire demanded it of her. She soon put her hands down and stopped controlling the leviathan's body and proceeded to put all the materials together so that the structures were put together fairly early and they didn't have to find themselves in a similar situation again and put each other in danger.

"Do I understand correctly that you're the only one here, or will anyone else be arriving on the scene ? I'm here for the long haul, ready to tell anyone interesting facts or help with an assignment, as long as it's not confidential."

The young woman who had help with the creature was so calm and collected. Imella was quite frankly amazed. Neryn as she introduced herself was as confident and at ease with confronting this Leviathan thing as Imella was in the cockpit of a starfighter. It was amazing to think one could be able to confront this thing without all the horror that was going through Imella’s mind.

It very much appeared that the Leviathan was dead, but Neryn commented that she was in for the duration of the job. Imella wondered if maybe that meant there were more of these beasts out there in the wastelands. If so she should probably make sure to suppress them as much as possible. Orto Plutonia would be a necessary colony if the Pantorans wished to expand their authority.

“I have a squad with me,” Imella admitted when asked if she was alone. “They’re a bunch of know nothing muscle heads though. If there are more of these things out there, I’d rather just stick with you and have the squad as a backup in case things get hairy. I’m the commander of the mission. They’ll do what I say. You are quite talented. Getting shelter together was going to be a concern of mine. But you’ve handled that quite nicely.”

Naivia Neryn

At the beginning of it all...
On Neryn's part the sign of respect and deference was a slight bow of the head forward and a sweet nod, which usually meant that she would gladly take part in the task and help Imelia clear the place of equal and lower-level threats as quickly and with a certain degree of care as possible. For Neryn it was not a matter of honour or a desire for rewards, but rather a simple human help, which she had never refused to anyone who came across her path in life. But to give voice to her agreement, she expressed the idea in a more expressive and verbal way

"Even muscles are capable of simple logical operations, so I am not sure that it is necessary to underestimate their intellectual and intelligent abilities so much, which can be developed in the future and continuously improved without forgetting yourselt. And now for our main business, here I have at least two main ideas. First, we can use what remains of the local equipment to build a small outpost for expeditions into more distant regions and sections of the planet, or we can go deep into the mountain ranges together and see what we find there. Whichever you prefer, that's where we'll go. What do you think, Imelia? "

Neryn asked the question, smiling softly at the military officer and stepping closer to hear her answer more "perceptively"

Neryn gave a very proper explanation as to why meatheads weren’t necessarily just meatheads. Imella wasn’t sure she totally agreed but her new counterpart had a point. The squad of troopers would be good for something. Imella just had to figure out what it was they were best suited for. She was pretty sure that if she had them tackle a Leviathan head on they would either charge in stupidly or run away knowing anything they did would be useless.

Then Neryn suggested two possible plans for how to move forward. The first was not very appealing if she was to be honest to herself. Building an outpost out of a surveyor’s vehicle and set out from there making small scouting runs to find any other threats. ‘That’s something the meatheads can do,’ Imella thought to herself. The other quickly peaked Imella’s sense of adventure and brash decision making.

The young Pantoran pretended to take a minute in considering the choices. She was an officer after all, she can’t be seen as someone who just jumps into her own wants without considering the true best path forward. As she paused, Neryn stepped closer. Imella felt the Force radiating off of the white haired woman. She knew what the Force was of course, but she’d never felt it so strongly. A blush formed on the young pilot’s cheeks as she tried to collect herself from the weird feeling that Neryn gave her.

“I think we can leave the outpost to my squad,” Imella said with a smirk. “I’ll radio them and give the orders. Make sure they don’t go too far off on their own. Then we head off deep into the mountains.” Imella paused again, this time for real. “I don’t know the mountains at all,” she admitted. “Do you know where we need to be heading?”

Naivia Neryn

At the beginning of it all...
For Neryn, the usual familiarity and surprise associated with the special aura of her force was not beyond the realm of an accessible, understandable and accepted response. It was only an indication that she could explain and help her companion accept one of her natural forms of behaviour and interaction with material reality. She nodded understandingly and continued her speech, trying to answer for both the force and the possible knowledge of the mountain ranges. "Don't worry, it's just an aura from my force, it won't do you any harm, rather it will help you even mentally if let's say you're not feeling well or depression comes over you, it will help you right away. And about the mountains, I'll answer honestly, I myself have not been there because I do not live on this planet, but ready to help you explore areas, as there is a chance to meet the ruins or interesting artifacts, which hunts for my curious soul. So tell me, Imelia, when you are ready to go there, as it will most likely be a long hike, but in the meantime you can rest, eat and generally tidy up your squad and yourself, basic needs, let's call it that"

Neryn finished her rather soft speech and crouched down on one of the wrecks to get gas water from her small bag and unscrewing the lid, rather calmly, without increased aggression, held it out to Imelia , as a friendly and trusting act that could solidify their positive first contact.

Neryn looked to put Imella at ease after the young Pantora was a bit surprised by the strength of the aura Neryn gave off. Imella gave a slow nod. “I know the Force. I trust the Force. I feel it all the time. Just never had someone else seem so bright. When you get close. It almost feels like you are pressing against me even though you’re still a meter away.”

To hear Neryn say that she didn’t know where to go either gave Imella a bit of comfort and a little dread. They were rushing out into the wintery wastelands, but they both had the Force. Imella had let the Force guide her many times in her life, but only for very short bursts. This mission would take much more faith. But Neryn seemed to have a good grasp on the Force. Maybe it wouldn’t all be on Imella’s gifts.

As Neryn crouched down to retrieve something Imella barked some orders and expectations to her squad quickly. She was done by the time Neryn stood back up, a bottle in hand. Neryn unscrewed the lid and offered the bottle to Imella. The Pantoran tilted her head slightly, but she didn’t give refusing the offer a second thought. She was surprised the bottle was merely water. It was actually refreshing after the amount of sweat that Imella perspired during even that brief encounter with the Leviathan. She smiled as she returned the bottle to Neryn.

“Thank you,” Imella spoke as she handed it over. “I have given my orders and I’m quite ready to head off on our own. I’ve got a mini-shelter in my pack. It will be quite cozy, but I think it should fit us both if the temperature gets too cold. I also have my own bottle. Corellian Whiskey. It’ll help warm the blood. Let me know if you need a nip.”

Naivia Neryn

At the beginning of it all...
"I hasten to reassure you and perhaps caution you against further analysis, all the power around me is entirely mine, it does not belong to any external entity, so I will try to control its behavior so that you don't get inadvertently hit by me, should we suddenly find ourselves in a situation that would require a drastic expenditure of my force. And then one more thing, physically I'm a pretty weak girl so I hope you can fix this "hole" with your power and experience, thank you in advance" After these words Neryn waited for Imella to return her bottle of water and after a short sip she put it back in her small backpack and stood up and looked at the mountains cheerfully and without fear said "Ok then, let's go! And are you sure the tent can withstand the speed of the wind and especially the possibility of a night attack from creatures we may not see or your radars can't spot? That's on me though." Neryn smiled confidently and headed towards the mountains with a rather calm, slightly even static stride so as not to stray too far away and delay the military officer, which might work to their friendship in the future when Imellia needed instant help and Neryn would be somewhere far away. The wind picked up even more strongly towards evening, causing Neryn to have to put on her hood, which like the whole nice jumpsuit glowed a bright blue colour on the back that could be seen up to a kilometre away. Neryn kept glancing around for kilometres analysing everything using her amazing abilities, which she constantly trained at the most convenient hours and in the most remote places from civilisation for the sake of saving lives in the future.

Imella listened to Neryn explain that her power was hers, not part of something else. It was a strange way of looking at it. Imella knew that the Force was within her. That didn’t mean the power was not hers, just that its source was from outside her in the galaxy. Neryn either knew more than Imella or was naive to the power of the Force. Imella would bet on the former. Imella was shocked that the girl who just incapacitated the beast Imella was able to then kill would claim to be weak. She knew that Neryn meant in constitution not in power, but Imella wondered why the Force couldn’t make her as strong physically as she was in other aspects.

Neryn sought confirmation that the tent Imella carried would suffice to keep them safe. “I can assure you the tent has been tested in the worst conditions Orto Plutonia has to offer. We’ll be safe from the weather. It was designed for the comforts of Pantorans though,” Imella added to her statement. “We are able to handle more cold than the typical human. As far as keeping back an attack from one of the things we’re hunting? I’m not sure durasteel would do that, so I’m not as confident of our safety in that sense.”

For the first few minutes of the trek into the mountains Imella was hesitant. For all her training she’d never been very deep into the wastelands. She was supposed to be a pilot. Her people needed to get on the ball and train other people for this stuff so that Imella could get back into the stars where she belonged. That feeling quickly faded as she walked along Neryn. The young woman’s mannerisms were strange to her, but she was used to Pantorans so she made no judgment. Imella liked strange new things.

“One thing I forgot to mention,” Imella called out with a bit of a smile on her face. “The tent is designed for one. As you can imagine it is hard to fit a good sized tent in my pack. It will be a little cozy. But that might help you stay warm as well.”

Naivia Neryn

At the beginning of it all...
"Thank you very much for taking care of me in this way, although I realise that this is the only way not to turn into an icy piece of ice in the middle of constant snowstorms and blizzards and all sorts of critters, which at first glance are almost non-existent, but in fact are very numerous. At such moments I try to relax physically my body to go to the sound fields of objects around me, and becoming part of each of them, I try to listen more precisely and spatially to the depths and widths of them. Of course not everyone can do it and my inborn genius plays a part in it, but I have never in my life been and will never be an eccentric psychological type, even if some cultural-historical norms demand it. That's the kind of person I am, the chance of survival is certainly lower than those who take extremes, but the opportunity to experience the souls and bodies of other individuals is much deeper and fuller than the average say worker or Jedi."

Answered Neryn, looking back at the gigantic fields, which on their scale could accommodate a couple of large cities with a population of at least 300,000, perhaps up to a million, and still leave some territory for Arctic-type agrarian cultures and habitats of outlandish creatures and animals. The girl liked to fantasise how these or those scraps of land, from their first moment of life, gradually gave rise to increasingly sophisticated and interesting structures that helped them adapt and survive not only in the vague solitude of the permafrost, but also in the embrace of technological civilisations that had learned the value of the soil and the area where it grows.

"In time, we will walk exactly five hours to the first stop, where we will spend the night and from there, in the morning, we will set out for the approximate place where these beautiful species can live and thrive. On the way we will decide what to do with it as I try to be as neutral as possible in everything, both in my lifestyle and my positions within the social strife. "

Imella gave a bit of a smile as she was thanked. She was really only giving the information that was asked about her tent and being honest about its limitations. Neryn spoke of how she could hear things that others could not, the critters and such. Then she talked about her genius. Some people might have been turned off by hearing someone they just met call themselves a genius, but Imella admired it. She certainly would let Neryn know she was the best pilot on Pantora when that discussion was relevant.

After saying something about experiencing souls and bodies of others Neryn seemed to drift off and stare at the landscape. Imella was not impressed with the wasteland. Maybe Neryn was deciding a way to survive it. That was a good idea, but Imella was more of a tackle things as they come than plan things out.

She gave a sigh when Neryn described a five hour walk. Imella looked at her chrono and nodded. The timing seemed to make sense. “Alright, Neryn.” Imella pulled her pack tightly to her back and adjusted her boots. “I am ready. Though I guess you have to be pretty neutral to see something that does this much damage as beautiful.” She gave a smirk, Imella could see the beauty in chaos, maybe she was of a neutral mind as well. “I must admit that I am not looking forward to this. But I think you are quite interesting. I think learning more about you will be worth the effort.”

Naivia Neryn

At the beginning of it all...
"Five hours is a fairly normal time for a hike, even if we add things like wind speed, the rate of possible freezing and plus the almost open terrain we'll be traversing, we end up with a plus-minus dangerous situation, which probably won't be as boring and monotonous as it might seem now. Plus I will dedicate you on the way to some interesting details, based on the interest formed within you about my life and personality, which I will be happy to disclose, especially since, now we have to protect each other's weaknesses as much as possible. For example, my weakness is holding on to too many opponents at once, it requires more energy, concentration and time. Just one example of many, let's face it," Neryn replied, clearly preparing herself and Imella for the fun of the expedition, sensing even on a physical level that beneath those distant fields may be entire trenches and systems built hundreds of years ago. Neryn had only just touched these details and was still in the process of creating the logistics of travel, which she decided to improve and modernise. Once she had got a grip on herself, the girl began to move quite leisurely through the deserts of icy tears which in her mind she poetically called the vast wastelands. "I wanted to ask you something else, I have some liquids, let's say enough for a day at slow consumption, but do you have any food? I'm alright even with the worst quality or the typical military packs, as long as they're filled with vitamins and nutrients and if we don't have enough in emergency situation I have to carry you with all your armour and gear, or you might have to carry me back to base when I'm asleep or too cold. So beforehand, think about how we're going to consume and share our food. I trust you with this life supporting job, Imella." Neryn winked happily as she continued walking forward.

Imella gave a bit of a giggle as Neryn reviewed her thinking in deciding on a five hour hike before setting up camp. Neryn stated that she would tell stories during the hike and it would not seem nearly as bad as it seemed. Imella had to admit she was curious to hear more about Neryn’s history. The young woman had something about her that Imella had never experienced in her life. And the young Pantoran pilot loved anything new and strange. Neryn was the best kind of strange.

Neryn gave her weakness as taking on too much at one time. Imella could relate to that. Though that wasn’t her biggest weakness. “I’ve got several weaknesses. They come with youth I am told. A big one is rushing in without knowing the challenge I will face. It’s a weakness that I actually enjoy though. So as you say. Let’s face it.” The Pantoran woman gave a smile.

“Food will not be a problem,” Imella answered with a smile. “Assuming you don’t have a large appetite I carry rations for two weeks. One week for each of us. And the Talz have lived out here for quite some time. They aren’t importing food. They are getting it from here on planet. So might take some hunting or gathering, but we’ll survive I am quite sure. As to liquid,” Imella gave a bit of a giggle and motioned her hand outward. “There is plenty. It is just currently solid. I have a device that will make the water drinkable as we melt it down.” Imella started to follow Neryn as their long walk began.

“I won’t falter. If I have to leave my armor and gear I will make sure we get back to civilization,” Imella gave Neryn a once over. Neryn was taller and because of that possibly heavier than Imella, but Imella wasn’t lacking for confidence and loved a challenge. “I’m pretty sure I can put you on my back if you need to take a nap. I’ll make other arrangements to make sure you are not too cold.”

Shadow from the Lonely Dream
"Well here, by the way, we have to differ a bit in terms of phobias, although perhaps that will be the drive for you and me! The unknown always means something otherworldly, supernatural or out of the ordinary series of life experiences, so we can conclude that even if our way is filled with windows of possible threats, these windows can be turned into an opportunity to learn something new, all kinds of tactics for survival to develop and in general to develop as a beautiful and strong in the physical and volitional plane of personality, and this is very important! So fear this wasteland and the hills looming up on all sides, no need! You are not alone, Imella! We are both in one way or another warriors, travellers and adrenaline junkies, which is very important to me! By the way, I have been on ice worlds before and I almost always had this problem, there are so few cool guys to discuss anything with, to run around somewhere, to explore the area, to discover some ancient structure, to start excavations, in short, it used to piss me off a bit, but I really got used to being alone and I would appreciate it if you could help me get that feeling of friendship and union again!" Neryn finished her monologue and took out her personal thermos right as she was moving shared the hot tea with Imella and cheerfully began to jump around, dancing a little , thus she tried to show what pleasure she was getting from hours walking with someone who had practical goals and also (as Neryn hoped) felt that chill on her back as well, a true sign of a traveller and discoverer! "You can carry me ? You're quite the ice prince! Not a bad role in the theatre, sadly I haven't been there in a while, and do you have a fondness for music and art or not?"

At the beginning of it all...
By the way, I have been on ice worlds before and I almost always had this problem, there are so few cool guys to discuss anything with, to run around somewhere, to explore the area, to discover some ancient structure, to start excavations, in short, it used to piss me off a bit, but I really got used to being alone and I would appreciate it if you could help me get that feeling of friendship and union again!" Neryn revealed that she was more afraid of the unknown. Imella frowned a little when the young woman expressed what the young pilot could only assume were strange dark encounters. Imella wondered just where Neryn had come from. Who she had been, who she was. The Pantoran woman did not frighten easily though. She was more intrigued by the spooky tone of Neryn’s story than scared. She really wanted to know all there was to know about the young woman she happened along in the icy wilderness. And she had five hours of hiking to do just that.

“Boys can be quite stupid,” Imella concurred with Neryn’s view on men. They had their uses, but in the end Imella always managed better relationships with women. “As you said to me, you aren’t alone here Neryn! We’ve got a long adventure ahead of us. Before we make camp I bet you we’ll already be friends.”

Imella sipped on the tea that was shared and gave a little giggle at the dance that Neryn did. She wasn’t much of a socialite. She wanted to be a pilot from the time she was five years old and knew she had to work hard to get that. She didn’t know how to dance a single lick, so if she tried she would look quite foolish. But seeing Neryn’s dance almost made her want to join her.

“I hope you are not doubting my strength,” Imella said with a wink. “I may not look that strong, I like to keep a girlish figure after all, but I work out all the time. Well when I’m not flying that is. And I have stamina like you wouldn’t believe. I can be your ice prince if that is what you wish. But I think I’m a little too pretty for that. I’m hoping you’ll prefer an ice princess.”
