The next generation of the Viper Interceptor, and the second created by CST, the Directorate Viper Interceptor is a bulkier, more heavily armed interceptor than the companies last design. Along with it's size, the main standout of this interceptor from it's predecessors is the mounting of three Lucerne Labs Nimble-7 engines. that allow the Ghost Viper the adjust its speed and agility to take advantage of any situation, either by increasing it's speed, and slowing down to boost it's agility. Along with this, the new interceptor as received an additional universal launch tube, bring the total to two, and putting the full armament more on par with a standard fighter than an interceptor.
The Directorate Viper does still have it's drawbacks however. The fighter's frame and defenses are still lightweight, and astromech slot is still limited to smaller units. Along with this, the agility and speed boosting will always come at a cost. At the same time, the particle cannon armament can be difficult to aim given the slower bolt it fires, and has caught some new pilots to the craft off guard.
