The Dinii-class (Or Lunatic-class) Dral'tabalhar Me'sen is a heavy patrol ship designed by CST to supplement larger in the fleet with quick speed and heavy firepower. Designed to both patrol regions of space and attack much larger capital ships, the Dinii-class has a versatile armament of two Uur particle cannons, two ion cannons, and a pair of laser turrets. The class is also the smallest yet to equipt the heavy variant of the Strill universal launcher, which are housed in the two outer hull sections. These launchers have been modified to fire off all of their munitions at once, allowing one Dinii to fire off six heavy torpedoes or missiles at once. Even then, the ships will usually operate in packs of four. The class also possesses three large ion-jet engines, making the heavy patrol ships fast and agile.
The Dinii-class isn't without its weaknesses though. The defensive systems are quite light, and the ship's interior is cramped, sometimes making operation uncomfortable. Along with this, the ship's ammo storage is small compared to other vessels that equipt heavy launchers, only able to fire off three shots, or a burst. These weaknesses are part of why the Dinii-class got it's strange name.
