SETTING INFORMATION

Shipyard Name:
Diastec Orbital Yard "D.O.Y."
Classification: Orbital Station – Civilian Shipyard
Location: Bastion Orbit
Affiliation: The Diarchy (civilian-industrial administration)
Population: Multi-species personnel humans, chiss, zeltrons, twi'leks, and others.
Accessibility: Easily visible from orbit; a luminous blue ring circling Bastion, directly linked to its resource routes.
Description:
Suspended in Bastion's upper orbit, the Diastec Orbital Yard stands as a monumental ring of steel and light — a hub of construction and coordination. Massive spires rise from its core, housing control towers, industrial foundries, and administrative centers. The structure forms a continuous 10-kilometer ring, its arcs glowing with blue stabilizing fields that maintain the station's balance and temperature.
Though monumental in size, the D.O.Y. operates under full civilian oversight, serving as an industrial facility dedicated to the building, testing, and maintenance of all classes of spacecraft.

OPERATIONAL INFORMATION

Production:

The shipyard hosts a vast array of drydocks capable of handling ships up to 5 000 m in length. Its internal production network allows for complete in-house fabrication alloy refinement, hull assembly, propulsion integration, and system calibration ensuring full autonomy for the Diarchy's industrial needs.

Specialty:
Primary center for large-scale civilian ship construction and orbital assembly. Although the Diarchy commissions most of its vessels here, the station itself remains a non-military, open-market facility under civilian control.

Production Output:
From small transports to capital-class hulls, every vessel produced is assembled, tested, and launched from Bastion's orbit. The process prioritizes efficiency, safety, and logistical precision.

Market:
Closed-market contracts primarily serving the Diarchy and its allies. All transactions and coordination are handled through Bastion's trade network for efficiency and oversight.

POINTS OF INTEREST

Main Ring:

The central industrial zone where ships are assembled and refined. Automated cranes and foundry lines process thousands of tons of durasteel and titanium each cycle.

Secondary Ring:
Command and coordination area overseeing assembly, launch schedules, and dock allocation.

Central Core:
Administrative and engineering center registration of vessels, personnel rotation, and coordination of material logistics.

Energy Network:
An internal reactor grid powers every system aboard the D.O.Y. The energy network operates on redundant civilian reactors similar to nuclear types, designed for stability and safety.

Residential & Commerce Sector:
Shops, recreation areas, and residential quarters provide comfortable living conditions for thousands of workers and visiting personnel.

SECURITY

Level:
None
(The D.O.Y. is a civilian installation. It has no armaments, defense systems, or military-grade protection. Security aboard is handled only through non-lethal containment measures, docking protocols, and crew oversight.)

COMMUNICATION & COORDINATION

  • Central Command Node: Overseen by the Ada Core, an AI handling stationwide logistics and communication.
  • Bio-Hexacrypt Encryption: Protects industrial data and communications against intrusion.
  • Subspace Link Network: Maintains stable long-range communication and operational coordination.
  • Internal Broadcast Grid: Manages crew communication, alerts, and general information flow.

HANGAR & DOCKING FACILITIES

  • Modular drydocks with magnetic containment fields for atmospheric isolation.
  • Adjustable docking bays for both construction and refitting operations.
  • All docks certified for heavy industrial use only no fighter or warship squadrons stationed permanently.

So, one teeny tiny issue that will need to be addressed for this submission. Per Codex rules, any Space Station or Shipyard that doesn't use a canon model needs to first have its model approved through Factory. If you have an approved Factory sub for the station, just need you to link it. If not, you'll need to submit the model there first.
