SECURITY

Level : Maximum

The Diastec Orbital Yard (D.O.Y) was designed with layered defense principles to ensure the safety of its personnel, assets, and production operations. Given the strategic importance of ship construction and the constant threat of piracy, espionage, and industrial sabotage, the Diarchy has implemented one of the most advanced integrated defense networks in the sector.

Structural & Defensive Systems

  • Tri-phase Shield Grid: A modular energy-shield lattice covering the entire orbital frame. Each section can be sealed independently to prevent total power loss in case of impact or overload.
  • internal structure : The hull is covered with multi-layered composite plating combining Titanium alloy and durasteel we find Obsidian too.
  • Thermal Dissipation Panels: Hidden heat sinks along the ring's spine redirect excess energy from weapon discharges or reactor overloads into the vacuum of space.
  • Radiation & EMP Shielding: Faraday-lined conduits and superconductive mesh protect vital systems against EMP bursts, ion storms, and radiation waves.
  • Localized Gravity Anchors: Magnetic anchors and inertia dampeners reinforce the ring's stability during nearby explosions or meteor strikes.

Crew & Internal Security

  • Command Isolation Protocols: In the event of infiltration or sabotage, command sectors can be isolated and purged of atmosphere to neutralize hostiles without damaging core systems.
  • Internal Drone Patrols: Security drones of the Aegis and Sentinel series patrol continuously through maintenance tunnels and public sectors, programmed for non-lethal engagement unless authorized.
  • Automated Security Corridors: Blast doors with integrated ray shields can seal entire sections in less than five seconds upon detection of a breach.
  • Medical & Containment Facilities:
    • Advanced medbays with bacta recovery pods and nanite regeneration tables.
    • Atmospheric purification chambers to treat radiation or chemical exposure.
    • Detention sectors equipped with energy stasis cells for hostile elements.
  • Intrusion Detection Matrix: A hybrid AI surveillance network monitors biometric signatures, heat patterns, and comm activity in real time across the entire structure.

Active Defense Systems

  • Perimeter Defense Rings:
    • 48 heavy Plasma Coil Turrets for long-range interception.
    • Tractor beam for captured ennemy ship.
    • 96 Rapid-fire CIWS "Aegir" batteries for close-range missile and fighter suppression.
    • 12 Ion Lance Platforms capable of disabling starships without destroying them.
  • Automated Drone Wings: The D.O.Y. maintains four squadrons of autonomous interceptors (Vigilant-class) for immediate defensive response.
  • Countermeasure Arrays: Electronic warfare suites provide jamming, signal scrambling, and false-signal projection against enemy targeting systems.
  • Emergency Power Shields: Secondary shield capacitors can deploy localized barriers even if the main grid is compromised.

Communication & Coordination

  • Centralized Command Node: Managed by the Ada IA core , which oversees all communication, logistics, and defensive coordination.
  • Bio-hexacrypt : for protect the data and storage of the station, versus slicers, hackers and pirates who try to enter the system.
  • Subspace Link Network: Ensures redundancy in long-range communication and fleet coordination during wartime scenarios.
  • Internal Broadcast Grid: Secure communication channels for crew movement, evacuation alerts, and tactical updates.

Hangar & Deployment Capacity

  • Fighter Wings: Up to 50 squadrons can be stationed at any given time, including patrol and quick-response units.
  • Emergency Launch Corridors: Dedicated ventral bays allow for rapid fighter deployment without exposing the main hangar to external threats.
  • Dock Security Gates: Magnetic containment fields and retractable blast shutters isolate docks during incoming or outgoing traffic.

Detention & Containment

  • Reinforced energy cages calibrated for multiple species and power signatures.
  • Stasis chambers for high-risk prisoners or infected personnel.
  • Secure isolation wings for suspected saboteurs or quarantined cargo.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The Diarchy's growing industrial ambitions eventually made it necessary to take control of its own ship production. Relying on outside suppliers had become costly and strategically limiting, so the Council approved the creation of a dedicated orbital shipyard that would allow the faction to design, build, and maintain its own fleets from start to finish.

The project was placed under the direction of Lyssara Thrynn, head of the Research and Development Division. With the Council's authorization, Thrynn assembled a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and logistics officers to design and construct the entire system from the ground up. Her approach focused on practicality and sustainability rather than experimentation every component, from the drydock layout to the power conduits, was built to ensure reliability and long-term use. The Diarch Rellik Diarch Rellik is the high commander of the station and lyssara thrynn is the assistant director.

The facility operates as a fully staffed installation, not a remote or automated system. Hundreds of engineers, welders, technicians, and administrative personnel work in coordinated shifts to maintain constant activity across all sectors. Each section of the shipyard from the foundries and assembly bays to the control decks and testing platforms is managed by trained crews who handle production, maintenance, and quality verification directly.

While the station remains structurally autonomous and capable of independent operation, it does not refine or produce its own fuel. Instead, it relies on scheduled shipments from Bastion's surface refineries to supply its launch reservoirs and power cores. This ensures a steady and safe energy flow without burdening the shipyard's infrastructure with additional industrial risks.

In addition to its role as a production center, the facility also serves as the primary design and development hub for the Diarchy's naval division. Entire wings are dedicated to research, testing, and ship design from propulsion systems and hull plating to bridge configurations and weapon mounts. Under Thrynn's supervision, engineers work closely with Diarchy fleet officers to translate strategic requirements into functional, efficient vessels.

Every stage of construction, inspection, and launch follows strict oversight protocols. No vessel leaves the yard without full verification from both the engineering board and the Diarchy's military inspectors. The shipyard's proximity to Bastion also allows for rapid personnel rotation, resource transfer, and direct coordination with ground-based command centers.

Built through the cooperation of civilian and military departments, the D.O.Y. represents the Diarchy's shift toward full industrial independence. It is not just a facility it is a working environment built by people, for people, where human skill, discipline, and experience remain the foundation of every ship that leaves its docks.
