Description: The Diagnostic Analyzer Probe (DAP) is a small yet stealthy space probe that is going to be utilized by the Galactic Republic. This probe, like others, is a deep-space scouting unit, but instead of being used inside the Galaxy, it's designed for extragalactic probing. There are only a few systems located within the droid, those being scanners and sensors to examine planets, suns and other astronomical bodies within galaxies to determine if life is on these planets, an atmosphere scanner, audio and visual systems to relay information back on its progress and a self-destruct feature in case it's captured or badly damaged. The DAP, however, is extremely limited in defense. Other than being able to handle the rigors of space, a well placed shot from a standard blaster could destroy the probe. It has no weapons and virtually no defense, other than durasteel plating on it's hull. Also, due to the fact that it's extremely tiny and compact, this probe has no hyperdrive. The way this probe moves to another galaxy is exactly what Clone Wars starfighters used as a method: hyperdrive sleds. As such, this means that any probes jettisoned outside of the Galaxy will be trapped there with no way return. These probes aren't designed to be long-lasting. Seeing that they're in unexplored territory, a well-built device might only prove to be damaging if an unknown alien species were to capture it and try to understand who built it and discover them.
