Suggestion Deleting Inactive Factions?

Jumping on the suggestion bandwagon. What if inactive factions got purged? We have minor factions that haven’t done anything in a long time and they take up a spot for a recognized Star Wars group.

Just an idea. Not at all a hill I want to die on so please try to be kind.

Don't worry about unkindness I think this would be a pretty well recieved suggestion, and as reprentative of Staff on the issue I'd say we just like, handle it on a case by case basis. Like if someone has a name you want just request it and we'll look into it.

I can put it in the notes to standardize some rules around it but it's not a huge priority rn

We have a faction deleting thread for if people want to voluntarily clear out unused factions.

I remember back in the day we did clear out old factions because every one of them created mini-forums which was creating trouble. That's less of an issue now, but as Tef says, not a high priority now, but if we can find an easy way to do it without removing people's "sacred texts" we might do so.

Maybe 'rename' the Minor Faction as 'Archived [Minor Faction Name]', and just put it in view-only mode?
