STRENGTHS
  • Fighter Wings - Each vessel was designed to carry a contingent of squadrons that are organized into two separate wings consisting of three squadrons each. The vessel is also capable of carrying and deploying up to two additional squadrons of support craft.
  • Jack-of-all-Trades - The Defender-class was designed to be average in all aspects and does not solely focus on a singular rating nor was it designed to fill a specialty role.
WEAKNESSES
  • Command Bridge - The odd design of the vessel has resulted in the command bridge being located to the extreme aft of the vessel just above the main bank of engines. This precarious location has the potential of removing the bridge from the vessel completed if the connecting section were sufficiently damaged, resulting in the crippling of the vessel.
  • Jack-of-all-Trades - The Defender-class does not excel in any singular area with all of its capabilities being considered average across the board.
DESCRIPTION
With conflict looming over the Galaxy and a new war erupting between the Galactic Alliance and the Mandalorian Enclave, the demand for vessels, specifically Warships, Starfighters, and Bombers has never been higher. While there are times when a specialized Warship or craft is required, there are other times when quantity is required over quality, resulting in the mass production of Warships and smaller vessels that any individual is capable of commanding or piloting. This is the exact case when it comes to the Defender-class Star Defender, a Capital Ship that is, for all intents and purposes, Average across the board.

The Defender-class Star Defender was designed to be rapidly and easily produced to bolster the Galactic Alliance Defense Force seemingly overnight. Its overall design focuses on a vessel that is a Jack-of-all-Trades and a Master of None which can be seen from its armaments and defenses to its speed and maneuverability; even its hangar capacity is considered the standard when compared to those vessels that were designed specifically to serve in a Carrier role. The Warship itself has a quirk in its design, that being the location of the command bridge at the extreme aft of the vessel above the main engine bank. This precarious location provides a tantalizing target and has the potential for disastrous outcomes in the event that sufficient damage is done to the primary connecting sections.

Though its overall design is focused on quantity, it does maintain a capability to carry and deploy two full Starfighter Wings - each organized into squadrons of three - to supplement its offensive or defensive capabilities. Likewise, many of its weapon systems are geared towards crippling or disabling a vessel rather than outright destruction of an enemy craft. The Defender-class Star Defender itself is fully intended to serve as a palisade, a force that can be easily produced, deployed, and replaced due to its lack of specialized systems or roles.
