WELCOME TO THE DEEP CORE DASH!
A Speeding Fever has taken hold of the galaxy. As pod and swoop races surge to the top of galactic entertainment, a new, but by no means unheard of, sports event makes its debut. A Race among the stars themselves, sponsored by the enigmatic Somtaw Raan!
Starting at the derelict Tsoss Beacon, the Deep Core Dash will proceed towards the edge of the Deep Core, running along Had Abbadon, arriving at the edge near Dremulae and proceeding back in past Thoadeye until it reaches its conclusion near Ebaq. Along each of the 4 legs of the race, participants need to collect flag beacons pre-dropped at various locations along the route. There are multiple beacons between each of the worlds, so racers can pick and choose their paths along the route. Each flag beacon needs to be reached by navigating a difficult set of obstacles in real space so a proximity tag that transmits a piece of code can be collected. Only a complete set of code segments, consisting of four code segments, is accepted. (This is mostly fluff, feel free to write it as you wish based on events [see below] you roll)
It's a 4 leg race mostly based on the same rules as the modified Hoth ruleset floating around currently, credit to
Jorus Q. Merrill
and
Sor-Jan Xantha
for building it up. Note that there is a special table that can be rolled on, the Events Table. For every Even Roll, i.e. every 2; 4; 6; 8; ...; 18, you get to roll on this special table and add another effect to your roll. The default assumption is that you add it to your current roll, unless otherwise specified.
The total Prize Pool will be 15k UCks, plus anything that's sponsored. This will be split among first (50%), second (35%), and third place (15%) (unless otherwise specified). P.S. Sponsors Welcome!
