  • Blaster Resistant: The cloak as well as the durasteel armor pieces are sufficiently blaster resistant and can withstand several bolts direct shots while everything else can be countered through lightsaber and the force.
  • Lightsaber Resistant: The armor is resistant to glancing blows from lightsabers, but its not equipped for prolonged direct strikes.
  • Aura of Fear: The plates on the armor are inscribed with sith runes that have bound spirits to the armor. The presence of these spirits through the force when one is close enough create an aura of uneasiness in ten meters as one hears the agonizing whispers of trapped souls. The whispers become louder wails within five meters becoming a medium grade force fear that magnifies. The closer the person gets to the wearer they hear the agonizing wails of trapped souls screaming out in pain and agony as they live out their painful deaths over and over.
  • Sorcerer’s Robes: The robes are imbued with the dark side of the force. Once worn they increase the wearer’s capacity to use Sith sorcery. In certain areas they can increase the spells overall efficiency, the strength of spells, and time required to cast those spells.
  • Dark Side: This effect goes hand in hand with the previous strength. The armor deepens the wearers connection to the dark side of the force. The dark side feels like it has a mind of its own as soon as it is donned it will attempt to twist and corrupt the wearer to the dark side with its maddening whispers.
WEAKNESSES:
  • Obvious: You’re not sneaking around wearing this.
  • Vacuum Exposure: This armor is not sealed and will not protect the wearer to the vacuum of space.
  • Time to Equip: Your not throwing this armor on in an emergency, it takes some time.
  • Soul Siphon: The aura of fear can be drained if the armor is struck with a blade that drains souls, pulling trapped souls out of it.
  • Force Nullification: The effects of the armor are suppressed when in the radius of a void stone or ysalamiri.
  • Insanity: Those who don the armor are at risk of the whispers of the dark side ever seeking to corrupt the wearer with whispers, visions of power, scenes of death. If one isn’t strong or aware of the whispers it can damage the mental sanity of the wearer.
  • Resistance: Aside from the blaster resistance and a minor resistance to glancing lightsaber blows, the armor can easily be cut into by lightsabers from direct strikes, and the armor is still vulnerable to explosive attack and other forms of weaponry if the wearer isn’t careful about maintaining his defenses.
DESCRIPTION

The dark robes known as Death’s Cloak started as an idea, a vision in the mind of the Warrior-King and Lord of the Sith Braxus Zambrano. The immaculate conception came in the middle of just one of many unsettling experiments into the realm of death. Braxus was a longtime adherent to the philosophy shared with his ‘sister in death’ [member="Matsu Xiangu"], characterized only as “Our Way”. The malefic experiments carried out sought to bring the Sith Lord closer to the realm of death.

When it happened.

Call it a vision, or an idea, inspiration struck him that gave Braxus the idea of a way to bind death to the physical realm, a physical manifestation of the physical and immaterial force blended together in one nightmarish piece. The decision was made and plans were drawn up by his own hand. The finest cloths and metals were gathered around him and within the bowels of his dark fortress did he undertake the process of bringing his project to life.

Additional inspiration for the project was gained from various Sith robes of old, and from the ancient order of the Jal Shey for his chosen attire. The robes were cut from the finest cloths turned to an unnaturally black hue, blended with an armorweave to protect him from blaster attacks. The ornate plating was crafted at the hands of a master a silver hue that nearly speckled in the light of the stars engraved with dazzling designs. In the center of its buckle the sigil of House Zambrano, the Eye of Solomon was engraved. The durasteel plating would undergo a light alchemy process to give the armor a degree of resistance to the glancing blows of lightsabers, just the first step in a long process.

The powers of Sith Sorcery were long in his repertoire and so Braxus deigned it necessary to enchant his own robes so they would help augment his casting abilities. A series of sith runes were etched into the dark armor and cloak to help serve this purpose. But then came at the end the final piece of the puzzle that would complete Death’s Cloak, binding death itself to the sorcerous gear. Countless captive Jedi, innocents, and other prisoners were executed in the most horrific fashion, suffering absolute agony at the hands of Braxus’s experiments before the end their souls were trapped in a special series of runes on the armor. The armor was at last complete and all would tremble before its wicked presence.
