- Jack of All Trades: The Aurochs has no major shortcomings, and it can perform all the usual tasks a soldier with an assault rifle would be expected to.
- The Soldier's Gun: The Aurochs is low-maintenance and is quite sturdy and reliable, ensuring it will keep working wherever you bring it. When it does require maintenance, it is very easily stripped and reassembled.
- Good Bones: The Aurochs is very easy for owners to modify. Adding optics being is as simple as sliding it onto the rail, the factory muzzle can be replaced with aftermarket muzzle brakes or suppressors, the factory-standard folding stock can be removed or replaced with a rigid stock, and adapting the weapon to a different caliber is as simple as replacing the barrel.

- Master of None: The Aurochs also has no outstanding features outside of its reliability, meaning it falls short of other, more specialized weapons. It can do many things well enough, but not anything extraordinarily.
- Kinetic Protection: The damage output by the Aurochs is purely kinetic, meaning armor made for protection against kinetic weapons

Some of the weapons offered by Dispater are as much fashion pieces as they are firearms, and wouldn't look out of place in a high-class establishment. This is not one of those weapons. The DDS-101 Aurochs is a rifle built for the average soldier, for the man who doesn't want to spend three hours picking apart and reassembling their rifle because a few grains of sand got inside. It is a fairly unremarkable weapon, save for its durability and reliability, as well as its ease of use. The Aurochs can very easily be stripped, disassembled, and reassembled, and its simplicity means it can be modified with very little technical know-how. These qualities mean that the Aurochs serves as the perfect centerpiece for military arms contracts, something entirely by design by Dispater. Is it boring? Yes, but for the average grunt, boring is better.
