DESCRIPTION


Constructed to go alongside Darth Latens' armor set, the helmet follows similar design priorities.

Forged of molecule-bonded, saber-resistant metals, the helmet allows the wearer to suffer close-range headshots from blasters or slugthrowers with impunity, as well as turn away the blade of a lightsaber.

The eyepieces contain a variety of sophisticated sensors, allowing the user to see in near-perfect darkness, detect living beings by their body heat, resist the effects of bright flashes of light, or zoom in on distant points.

The inner portion of the masked visor contains a small but powerful rebreather, allowing safe respiration when submerged in liquids or in environments normally toxic to humans. Additionally, it contains a small oxygen supply, allowing the user to breathe and function in a vacuum for short periods of time.

Like the larger armor set it matches, the suit focuses more on the most common varieties of damage, offering its wearer little defense against the ravages of fire or sound. Ion discharges, too, can be disastrous, as they can disable the helmet's systems with little difficulty.
