+ Eldritch Knight +: Lord Arioch, in his apprenticeship, was trained both as a warrior and a sorcerer of the Dark Side. As such, he is knowledgeable in the Sith ways of combat and its application in the arcane arts.
+ Speaker In Darkness +: Through his study of the Dark Side’s magical arts, Arioch has become both fluent and literate in the languages of Sith and the Paecian-influenced dialect of the Nightsisters. Of this, Arioch can give accurate readings of ancient tomes by both languages.
- The Cruelty of Man -: Arioch is a very cruel being, at least to his enemies. He has been known to commit horrible acts of torture and infliction of pain upon those who have crossed him. As a result, some not acquainted with such acts of violence tend to find his presence unappealing.
- Arkanian Superiority -: Like many Arkanians and their subspecies, Arioch has developed a haughty, borderline prejudice view of non-Arkanians. He typically keeps this in check, openly, around others of the Sith. Yet, when it comes to enemies or the everyday ramble, his views are rather clear.
APPEARANCE
Darth Arioch is a man of average height and weight for a Near-Human. Barring that, he is a lean-muscled man, built for swiftness over brute force. Most noticeably, his skin and hair are chalk-white, indicative of his particular branch of Arkanian Offshoot. He has a clean shaven face that some might consider "regal" in its shape. His hair is usually kept at a medium length, typical of Arkanian fashion. His once blue eyes are now corrupted by the dark side, pulsing in a bloody-red color. Typically, one might find him in either dark robes or draconian-themed Sith armor on the battlefield.
BIOGRAPHY
Not all Sith start off as disciples of the Dark Side. The same can be said of Darth Arioch, Arkanian knight of the Sith. He once was an Arkanian boy named Alrich Tapesh, the youngest of child of his family. His father was among Arkania's elite, a position that would come to haunt the youngest Tapesh. Like many noble families, Alrich's was one where he would not gain from his father's estate. This was often a point of ridicule by his elder brothers, and a feeling of distance from his father. He would often act out or commit malicious pranks upon his elder siblings, just to get noticed.
This, one day, changed. When he was around 13 GSY, Alrich was setting up yet another cruel trick for his brothers on the family's grounds. The earth beneath him gave way, sinking him into a chasm long since hidden. In the ancient past, Arkania was once a repository for the knowledge of the Sith of old. While trapped down in the darkness, Alrich came across such relics. Namely, a Sith holocron, one that burned bright with crimson light. Alrich was a Force-Sensitive, but his talents had been stifled. An entity from the holocron, calling itself simply "The Dark Master", spoke to the young Arkanian.
While he was eventually rescued, Alrich had smuggled the holocron out with him. For months, the entity within spoke to him, and taught him the ways of the Dark Side. The boy's lust for revenge and power grew. Once he became strong enough, he slaughtered the family that had cast him aside. From his father, he gained the wealth he so craved, but it was not enough. He kept up his training with "The Dark Master", travelling different worlds and seeking out tomes of knowledge. Now renamed Darth Arioch, he is a capable sorcerer-knight who seeks out his own dominion to rule. With the reemergence of the Sith Empire, he has sought hem out, seeing opportunity in their strength.
