Name: Darkfriends
Intent: Procure and support operations of The Harbinger's cult.
Affiliation: The Harbinger [True Loyalty]; Varies [False Loyalty].
Availability: Common
Quality: C
Type: Civilians of various professions. Further explained in description.
Strength: Varies. But I assume that a number will be asked so - 210.
Description: Within everyone of us lies a monster, a dark side. It grows more and more within those of us that have grown tired. Tired of everything. Those of us that have been broken. Those of us that have lost faith.
The Harbinger finds those and gives them a faith. A chance to prove themselves, a chance to be known, a chance to fight for a cause. With just a slight guidance of Sith magic tampering with the minds of these men and women, they become fanatical converts ready to die for their cause. None of them know The Harbinger, none know his identity (logically), their unfaltering faith and ignorance makes them perfect pawns in the games of The Harbinger. The game of keeping his identity unknown.
Additionally, none of the Darkfriends know each other even if they partake in the same operation. Unless, in rare cases, where they have been informed of that.
The Darkfriends come from all walks of life - businessmen, smugglers, slicers, cleaners, pilots, actors, soldiers, officers and etc. They also can belong easily to a faction and/or organization in the galaxy. Yet, they have one thing in common - they have lost faith. That loss is the sole conduit of converting them into tools that are ready to die for their cause.
Their aim is to set-up the stage for operations ordered by The Harbinger. Procuring weapons, slicing terminals, bringing down shields, extortion are a few examples of the many that The Harbinger finds use of the Darkfriends.
