- Personalized for Comfort and Defense: The Dark Star was designed by Carnifex to be the epitome of both luxury and protection, outfitted with all the amenities desired for long-distance space travel and enough weaponry to dissuade attack by pirates or other marauders.
- Cloaking Device: State-of-the-art cloaking technology powered by Stygium crystals allow the Dark Star to disappear off both scanners and visual means of detection at the cost of weapon systems being temporarily deactivated for power redistribution.
- Not a Warship: While outfitted with enough weaponry to keep the occupants safe, the Dark Star is not equipped for prolonged battle and can be outclassed by most other starships designed for war.
- No Starfighter Complement: The Dark Star carries no starfighter squadrons, with its sole hangar only large enough to carry one shuttle reserved for the Emperor's personal use.
Commissioned by the Sith Emperor shortly after the return of Ra Vizsla to the throne of Mand'alor, the Dark Star was built to his exact specifications and kept off all manufacturing records for the next few years as construction continued under the reign of Yasha Mantis. Designed to be a mobile home and operations center across the galaxy, it was filled with everything the Emperor needed to maintain control of his vast Empire.
Faster than light speed communication suites could keep the Emperor apprised of any happenings in the galaxy while an advanced holonet hub allowed the Emperor to access any available public files from nearly every data hub in the galaxy.
Hidden weapon systems built into the hull could keep the ship safe from pirate and marauder attacks but were mainly designed as a deterrent rather than dedicated weaponry reserved for a battleship. A stygium cloaking device could hide the vessel from enemy detection as well.
But the most important feature was the Emperor's private sanctum at the heart of the vessel which served as his bedchamber and meditative study, filled with tomes and items of ancient Sith and Jedi lore alongside a specialized chamber occupied by a single Dark Oculus device that enabled the Emperor to view locations across the galaxy through the Dark Side of the Force.
