ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Highly durable defensive matrix; resilient even under saturation
  • Strong midline firepower with power efficiency via Ifrit/Arbalest
  • Can deploy Voidbreaker II without compromising profile
  • Flexible electronic warfare and ECM integration
  • Line-holding durability; perfect for escorting capital ships and screening lighter units
WEAKNESSES
  • Lower speed and turn rate than smaller vessels
  • Large profile and exposed mid-dorsal batteries
  • Voidbreaker II has significant cooldown and visual exposure when deployed
  • No fighter support; dependent on CIWS and allied Kelly/Bolt formations
DESCRIPTION
The Dagger VI-class is the latest generation of the famed Dagger frigate series, brought into the modern era by the Commonwealth as its backbone line escort. Unlike its skirmish-hunting predecessors, the VI refocuses on formation durability, system longevity, and survivability under pressure. Designed to anchor Bolt/Kelly wolfpacks and screen larger capital units, the Dagger VI is built for one purpose: to endure.

Twin Skyquake-XM engines and the Trinity Core Compact reactor supply thrust and primary power, with the Blackwake sub-core acting as a combat surge and reroute buffer. This is reinforced by the Arbalest Capacitor System, ensuring stability during Voidbreaker II firing cycles or shield matrix reboots.

The Voidbreaker II is turret-mounted dorsally near the stern, concealed behind armored panels until deployment. This placement allows the Dagger to mask its most devastating weapon until it’s needed, unleashing seismic rounds to crack stations or cripple larger warships. Meanwhile, Tasha-III disruptors and Ifrit turbolasers supply its primary midrange punch, with Boltfires and Thunderbolts handling flanking targets and CIWS threats.

With twenty-four internal decks, the Dagger VI carries a full support staff, crew quarters, a dedicated medical bay, and a robust communications and ECM suite centered around the Ariadne node. It does not carry fighters or gunships—but it doesn’t need to. When paired with Bolt corvettes and Kelly-class skirmishers, the Dagger brings the weight that keeps them alive.
