ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Hyperdrive - The Dagger class is outfitted within its own hyperdrive system making this fighter self sufficient, allowing it to operate far away from any capital ships. The hyperdrive system itself is 2.5 giving it a decent speed
  • Shielding - The Dagger class uses an FF-Energy Shield, allowing it to take a heavy beating when it comes to plasma and laser based weaponry. This gives it an advantage as most ships and point defence weapons are equipped with laser based weaponry.
WEAKNESSES
  • Missiles - One major drawback of the ship is the shields which are almost exclusively meant for laser based weaponry. Missiles have a much easier job destroying the ship with the Dagger class being forced to rely on a series of countermeasures which don't last forever.
  • Dog Fighter - The Dagger class acts solely as a fighter with its laser cannons acting as its main weapons. While it does have a torpedo tube it can only hold up to two torpedos at a time. Any heavily armoured ship would be able to withstand the firepower from a dagger fighter.
DESCRIPTION
The Dagger Fighter was intended for a single purpose dogfights. It excels in this field, with its 4 laser cannons able to deal significant damage to most small craft, freighters and corvettes. Paired with its shielding catered towards laser fire the Dagger-class is a force to be reckoned with when faced in space. It does however have a few drawbacks, namely its specialisation prevents it from preforming well in other fields. While the craft may have good shielding its weapons are designed for starfighter combat making its anti-capital ship capabilities and air to ground capabilities moderate at best. It's singular torpedo tube only offers a limited firepower boost as well. Despite this the Dagger is still a well rounded ship, able to use its own hyperdrive to reach any dogfight or battle the pilot wishes to join.
