D’Aon Ghuth Amháin

Alderaan. A planet with so much history behind it, but that was not why Jairdain was here. There were a few things that did bring her to this place. The most important was a location and order she had learned about.

She no longer considered herself a Jedi, but she was far from dark. Instead Jairdain walked the fine line of what was thought as neutral or grey by many. Following the code of her people, she allowed emotions to flow, but not control her. No longer did she box them up, but used them when they were needed.

This allowed her a sense of balance she lacked before. She hoped to continue on her current path for a long time and wondered how many others felt like she did. It was another thing that brought her here.

So she asked about the Temple of the Grey and now she openly approached the location. It had taken a bit of time for her to arrive, but that indicated to her the trip was worth it.

As advisor to the Crown Prince of Commenor, she wore something nice. Even if she wasn't here in that role, the clothing was comfortable to her now. Her shirt was white, pants were black and for a splash of color, Jairdain had a scarf that was blue in color. On her hip was a lightsaber that was almost useless in her hands, but she carried it to show what she was.

Jairdain was not a warrior nor did she carry herself as one. However, she was confident in her movements, the Force guided her. Here to Alderaan, to the temple and the person waiting inside.

Alexandra yawned and sighed, feeling someone enter the forest and walking in the direction of her home, the dark haired woman shaking a bit and brushing any dust or stone that had fallen on her off as she crawled out from her corner in the rubble of the ruined temple. She looked out towards the forest and then off to the right where a pool of water was that flowed out and towards the waterfall that created her favorite river. The path up to her home was uphill, although very slight and merely built up to the place where she was, making it almost seem like there was no change in the elevation of her home.

She normally would get clean before approaching those that were coming near her home, and normally she did not have an issue with taking her time but this one was heading straight towards her home and not wavering in the direction. Which meant they knew the location already or had gotten the information, paranoia setting in that Ferus had sent an assassin as she was certain she did not know the signature and her hands curled up with Hel whispering in her head. She woudl relax though, Daeda's voice speaking some caution back into her to find out what it was that was coming before Alexandra became simply hostile.

She sighed and looked to her right where her gear was, grabbing the sabers quickly, and then her staff, letting the warstaff extend out to its full length. Her hands then took the jacket she wore and pulled it over her form before running a hand through her hair. The dark ebony color was soon replaced with silver and white, her eyes taking an icy blue color and her tail disappearing from view utterly. Lastly she touched a root and breathed in, connecting to the forest and narrowing down the location of the woman who was coming. It did not take her long, and once done her feet kicked off from the ground, launching her out of her hole and into the forest, heading right for Jairdain, intending to cut her off long before she even caught sight of Alex's ruined temple.

Anything visual was lost on Jairdain, but that was not something obvious to somebody looking at her. The only external sign she was blind was the fact her eyes did not focus. Another thing Jairdain was unable to pick out with the Force were the variations in the ground level. A gradual incline was not noticed on the slope as she approached the building that had become the home of Alexandra.

One thing she did pick up on was the over abundance of life. It was beyond that of what would be thought of as normal. What she did not think of was that it meant the location was being taken over by that nature.

As she continued her walk up the hill, she did not keep what she was hidden or secret. A person that had seen both light and dark, somebody that accepted it as a part of herself and in others.

When Alexandra came out of the temple, it was also openly. The woman was odd to Jairdain. She was on edge, but not hostile. Understanding the sentiment, she stopped in her advance and waited for her to reach where she was located. There was what seemed to be two beings approaching her. One would be Alexandra, but the other was much smaller. Unsure of what it might be, she was interested in knowing what it was.

The physical appearance and illusion were not important to Jairdain and weren't something she thought of any longer.

Pausing just a moment when Alexandra arrived, she nodded her head before making it something a little more formal. Not a full bow or curtsy, she leaned forward with the nod and did a partial bow.

"I am Jairdain Ismet and have come looking for Alexandra Feanor."

Alexandra blinked as she saw the person who had come to her home and almost looked a bit more than simply confused as she was someone that Alexandra had never seen before and had no idea who this person was. Her body dropped down to the ground and she blinked, staring the woman over and taking stock of what she was seeing infront of her as Daeda came out of clothing and dropped to the ground, moving around the area and watching. One thing she could figure out was that the woman was not hostile and seemed to be more curious than anything else, which made Alexandra curious in return.

She would not let the woman go further though, determined to leave her standing here as the woman was not welcome in her home. No one was these days and she had no intention of changing that. The thought left on the forefront of her mind, she spoke again and kept her voice calm and controlled. She had no intention of pissing off what could possibly be one of Ferus' assassins, nor hide the fact of her suspicions.

"This is your only chance to explain why you are looking for me, and if you are one of the Darth Traitor, do tell me now. I really would hate to play the game of subterfuge for this to just end with me crushing you casually against the rocks in my favorite river." She paused for a moment and smiled a small bit wider. "On second thought, how about you tell me who told you my name in the first place, that would be far more interesting to me."

Alexandra's hostility, if not obvious from her words, were muddled in her mind with the other darker thoughts that had been entrenched there. Chief among them her depression and paranoia rising to the forefront, and with them the anger she felt for a few certain individuals who might have told this woman where she was.

Stopping in her advance, Jairdain allowed Alexandra to make her observations of her. This was done out of respect for being a guest along with the feeling she wasn't going to be allow to go further. That second entity came out and wandered around them. For just a moment, her focus went to the small ball, but then back to Alexandra as she spoke.

She did not keep her suspicions hidden and that was perfectly fine with Jairdain. An unexpected somebody visiting her own home would bring about the same feeling within her. Not knowing it was Krest she spoke of when the name of Darth Traitor was given, it would be obvious Jairdain had no idea who it was. If she had known it was him it would not have changed how she acted, but she might be a little more relaxed.

The question was changed and it was asked who gave her the name of the person she was speaking to.

"A young man named Harley Fenstermacher gave your name."

If the name did not seem familiar, she would be able to explain further who the man was, but not too much. Just which government he was with and his role with them. Without sight, it would be hard to say what he looked like.

Alexandra raised a brow at hearing the name and her smile grew as she started to laugh a bit. That echani senator had mentioned Alexandra? Why in the world would that young one even think of speak of the Jedi master, their conversation hadn't even been that long when she had met him. It was all questions for another time but she would certainly have to address them when she got the chance.

For now she merely smiled and relaxed the rest of the way as she looked around quickly and went to sit down on a fallen log. She ok knowing that the senator had mentioned Alexandra to this person, and considering the man hadn't been kidnapped or harmed from what she knew, she could trust the mention was in good faith. She was curious why the woman had chosen to come meet Alexandra though, who let the tail she now had come to rest in her lap, still hidden from the physical world.

"Well, If it was that Senator that told you about me, then I have no issues with your presence here."

With the simple statement of the name, the attitude and demeanor of Alexandra changed. She started laughing a little and relaxed. Jairdain picked up the slight curiosity from the other woman, but made no comment on it. If she had any questions, Jairdain was not going to be the one to pry them out of her.

Unless she was stopped, Jairdain would take a seat on the log next to Alexandra and focus on her through the Force. It was a simple gaze and not probing, but something to indicate her attention.

"I mean no harm. He mentioned you when he took a visit to Voss and we met there. Even suggested we might meet up, so I got your name from him and here we are. I apologize for coming without prior notice."

Through the Force Jairdain could tell Alexandra was different, but she would wait to mention it. She was also curious about the small creature around them and pointed in its direction.

"Who was this Darth Traitor you mentioned moments ago and what is that little animal? I've never come across something like it before."

Alexandra smiled at the statement still and relaxed a bit more, her body leaning back and her hands placed on the log. She rarely got the chance to have a conversation that was simple and didn't involve any lessons or curiosity into her recent days. Not to mention the woman was someone that seemed trustful enough, given all things considered, even if a small part of Alexandra was still more than prepared for the woman to turn on Alexandra at any moment. For once, Hel's paranoia was somewhat useful, keeping her just barely on the edge of worry but not too much to betray her facade of someone that was happy and content.

She would then get the next question and a tad bit of anger bristled out from behind her guise. Her smile faltered and she turned her eyes to Daeda rather than looking at Jairdain anymore. Her breath stopped for a moment and the tail fell behind her, to hang there without movement. She thought over what name to use or how to explain the title she had given the man she didn't think would appear anymore unless to attack her like he had in the past. It took a second or two more for her to end up deciding on what to say, starting instead with Dead's name and what he was.

"This is Daeda, he is an Ashlan wolf. It is a... companion of mine that I could not be happier to have beside me these days. He connects to my mind and our heads are more or less one at this point, both minds interwoven and connected. I was introduced by a dear friend of mine to the little guy." Her smile turned a tad sad and she reached down to pet her friend's head, feeling him push up and against her hand. "As for Darth Traitor, his real name would be Krest or Darth Ferus. He was another dear friend of mine at one point but... As is a common end in those kinds of things, he did not stay one."

She tapped her hand on her leg as the other rested on Daeda's head, thinking and trying to think of what to say next to her visitor.

The concern of Jairdain turning on her was unfounded, but if she had known of Alexandra's past, she would have been understanding about it. It was felt by her, but she gave no sign of it. As her questions were answered, it became fully clear to Jairdain why that feeling was there in the first place.

A mutual connection of knowing Krest...the mention of that name did rouse anger from her though. Especially as the story continued. Instead if Alexandra could pick up on the emotions of Jairdain, a touch of sympathy would be felt. Hand in hand with understanding of exactly what she meant.

What had happened in her own past came to the surface of Jairdain's mind. A period of time she had done her best to put to rest. She had confronted Kaalia, Lykos and Krest at different times. Jairdain had buried her sith days, but they were still a part of who she was now. No longer on that path, but that of her people. Now she was a true neutral in things, but weighed in more light than dark. If it hadn't been for those three, she would never have tasted that dark.

"I know who you speak of. He had a hand in my life as well."

Taking a small gulp, she would speak further if questioned, but did not volunteer the information herself.

"Daeda is a wolf? So little and speaks to your mind?"

That would be something she would be interested in learning more about. Being a mentalist she could communicate easily through telepathy.

Alexandra sighed as Jairdain mentioned that she had a bit of a run in with Krest as well, the man who Alexandra had failed a long time ago. She had been unable to turn the man from his destructive path and each time she suffered for her failure as he took students and did the same to them while she could only stand by and watch. It had always weighed in her heavily and this day it felt like a hollow pain. But, she was given a distraction from that when the woman asked about her companion.

Alexandra smiled, a genuine smile that reached across her face. She was always happy to be around her friend but rarely did they meet new people in a safe manner these days. Most if the time someone was trying to stab, shoot or do both to the pair, not have a civil talk and relax.

Alexandra reached over again and grabbed the guy but the scruff at the back of his neck, hearing protests inside her head as she put him back down next to Jairdain.

"This is Daeda, me and him communicate through thoughts and feelings rather than words. He has been my strongest companion for a long time. And yes, he is a wolf, a tiny version of the normally much larger beast... tip, scratch behind his ears, he likes it."

Alexandra in the meantime watched the tiny wolf as it sat down. She did not watch for long and instead turned her eyes on the forest, feeling a calm breeze come towards them. She was at peace here, and could feel the fringes of the nexus at her home touching her, the lightside energy a comfort for her.

When there were no questions about what Krest had done to her, Jairdain would gladly focus on the now and the little wolf Alexandra had picked up. He was set next to her and the suggestion to scratch him behind his ears was met with a smile. In learning he communicated with thoughts and feelings, she wondered if they could do the same thing.

Can you do the same thing with me?

This was thought to Daeda as Jairdain would reach out to try and scratch him behind the ears. He might be little, but that didn't mean he was harmless. Aware that danger could come in small packages, she hoped he allowed her to pet him.

As she looked through the Force at him, she noticed the tail attached to Alexandra and lifted an eyebrow slightly. For a moment or two, Jairdain was at a loss for words concerning it. Through the Force everybody was equal to her as everything had emotions. So she did not feel any change for Alexandra, but now she was curious as to what race she was.

"It's a pleasure to make you acquaintance, Daeda."

Speaking out loud just in case the mental message didn't get through, she would then turn her attention back to Alexandra.

"The two of you are quite a curious couple. First I meet a tiny wolf and then I notice you have a tail that matches. What race are you? I've never heard of a humanoid species that has a tail."

Not trying at all to sound or come across as rude, she honestly hoped the question and phrasing would not upset her new friends.

Alexandra looked at the woman with a very interested glance as she seemed to stare at Daeda, and soon some thoughts found their way into her mind. Daeda was humored by what was going on, granted he didn't explain when Alexandra inquired on the matter. He simply sat there and acted like nothing was going on at first, acting like there was nothing at all happening. She figured that Jairdain was doing something that Daeda could feel and he was playing a trick on the woman. The Wolf was a bit more mischievous than Alexandra had once believed but after the amount of time they spent together, she caught on quite quickly.

He then started to get pet, and that broke him immediately as he was much happier and couldn't hide it. His enjoyment went through her mind and she smiled softly at the fact of her friend being happy and enjoying himself. Alexandra on the otherhand would take it upon herself to speak for him, not letting the little guy get away with tricking Jairdain.

"He says hello back. Im not sure what you said to him, but he is acting like he can't hear you as some kind of cruel joke. He can hear you quite well..." She stared down at her little companion, warning the little guy to not be so rude to their guests. Which is when she heard Jairdain mention her tail and she laughed a little bit.

"Oh... that. I was originally an Echani but complications led to a transfer to this body. Its a gift, if you might call it from an old friend. He was dear to me and he gave me the chance to be more like him... I squandered that chance like a stupid fool, thinking that I needed to fix something and that was more important than him... The ignorance of youth?" She looked at her tail, sighing and shaking her head. She wished with all her heart she could change the past.

When Daeda did not attempt to tear the tip of her fingers off, Jairdain would continue to scratch him behind his ears. Never staying in one place for too long, she soon got a little braver and would try to pet more of his body. Not once did she attempt to rub his belly unless he rolled over for her to do it.

Alexandra answered in a way the question she had asked the little wolf. The telepathy went one way. He could hear her fine, but not answer back.

"I simply asked if he could answer me back. It doesn't appear he can so you'll have to speak for him."

She didn't feel either of them were being rude at all.

"Echani like Harley then. I also met one other Echani on Voss. Then again everybody more or less looks the same to me through the Force. I see through emotions and everything has them. It's been told to me it is quite like something called a mood ring. Most people can only see on the surface and what they want to project. My sight goes beyond those façades and see beyond the surface."

Not quite saying she was physically blind, it shouldn't take too much for Alexandra to figure it out.

As her companion explained the tail and the story that went with it, Jairdain nodded in understanding.

"While I didn't die, I have done the same thing. Had to suffer the loss of somebody I loved and then lose the love of another. I know it's not polite to ask age, but you mention the ignorance of youth. How old are you?"

Alexandra listened to the explanation with interest and chewed on the information given to her. It worked alot like when she let herself be connected and integrated into the force, remembering how she loses her sight when that happens and the force replaces it with something new. It was something she had always wanted to experiment with but knew doing so was far too risky, she had a reason to stay alive these days, even if that reason was dull and felt far away. But it was there and she was not going to die while that reason was there.

Then a silence followed and Alex was left with her internal thoughts. The silence did not last long but the next question was something she wasn't quite prepared for. Her eyebrow rose at the question and she laughed a bit.

"Believe it or not, im fifty two years old. The body I was placed in a few years ago though does not reflect that very well, not that I complain to that fact. It far nicer compared to the old thing, so this was somewhat of an upgrade if you can consider it that." She learned forward and rested her arms on her knees, tail still hanging over the back of the log while she thought on her new body.

By all physical merits, it was an upgrade, but the upgrade felt hollow. Being this reminded her of who gave it to her and where he was everyday, and that had put her into a downward spiral she made no attempt to climb out of most days. Why should she, it wasn't like her actions could change things at this point short of going back through time with flow walking, but such actions would be abhorrent and only succeed in leaving a message for someone from then, knowing she can't alter or interact with people themselves.

There was a brief silence between them after Jairdain finished speaking. She continued to pet Daeda and just enjoy the peace that was between the three of them. The acceptance of Alexandra and apparent understanding of how she explained her sight, made Jairdain wonder what brought it on. What she picked up through the Force from the other woman was more than mere sympathy. There was something there that inclined her to think she must understand exactly what she meant.

When she asked about Alexandra's age, she picked up on the humor from her before hearing the little laugh, Jairdain was glad her question did not offend her. Listening to the answer, she nodded.

"The Force can do wonderful and terrible things. I will assume your body change had a great deal to with the Force."

She had been trained to do Necromancy and even did it once...a mistake. In her own foolish attempt to deal with her past demons, she had brought Krest back to life. What he was doing now, she had no idea. It was thanks to her he was off wreaking havoc somewhere. That is what he did.

"What is it like? To have a totally new body, I mean. Also Echani don't have tails that I know of."

"To tell you the truth, irritating. I don't mind the looks of the body, nor its abilities, but it feels wrong and different sometimes. Its like you know you don't belong in it and your presence there is unnatural. Then comes the issues with the tail that I was never able to learn about, though I think it might be my own stubborn mind that is hindering me. When I utilize this body to its fullest extent, I have issues with balance caused by the damn tail, and it is also not exactly a small target..." She sighed and let her tail swing a little as she smiled.

"Its not all bad though, the tail is warm and has a rather soft kind of hair, something that you would expect from an animal you would keep as a pet. It makes sleeping in environments where the temperature drops rather hard and it works great if you need to dust something off of course." The last point had been a joke, a touch of humor hitting her and she smiled as she had made it.

"All in all, while it feels unnatural sometimes, and can frustrate me, it still feels like my own because it was designed for me. It wasn't someone I took over, or some being that had simply died and their body repaired for me... no it was designed for me. And while I would have preferred my hair white like before, or my eyes their old color... I can't complain about such simple things knowing the effort needed for this creation. Sorry if I rambled a bit more than you wanted." She looked at Jair, little more than her speaking having happened in that time.

The young woman listened to Alexandra with her full attention the entire time she was speaking. With an absentminded air, she continued to pet Daeda at her side. He may not be able to fully communicate with her, but she could still pick up on the little guy's emotions. There was contentment coming off him, like once she had begun petting, he couldn't get enough. She had never had a companion such as him or a pet even.

"I hope that never happens to me. To die and need another body to be placed in. Once I die, I feel I should stay that way. Of course, having a certain skill I have knowledge of, I am able to bring the dead back."

She did smile at the intended joke of dusting things with it.

"Soft fur like Daeda has? Where is he from? As for rambling...I truly enjoy being able to sit and talk. It happens so rarely."

"Honestly, I think it is softer but Daeda argues with me all day over that fact so I think he believes his is softer. Silly little guy thinking he is the paramount of comfort in the galaxy." She grinned at her companion as it seemed to give her a quick glare before going back to enjoying his head being scratched by Jairdain. The two enjoyed to pick on eachother and he had a way of making Alexandra smile even when her current situation was rather dim. She really did wonder what she did to get him as a friend and companion sometimes.

"The little guy is from Myrkr, the one where the force don't work too good. Honestly I think it messes with the brain inside my little buddy's noggin having grown up there. I see him staring off into space like he thinks he can lift rocks like me at times or barking really loud as if he could blow down a house or a tree. Big bad wolf and all... as for rambling, you need not worry. Things are boring and quiet around here most days... sometimes worse than just that."

Her chin had found her hand as she continued to stare off into the forest, not paying attention to Jair or what was happening around her as she talked. Her tail twitching slightly behind her as she closed her eyes and listened to the forest. She figured that since Jairdain couldn't see features, it wouldn't be rude of her to close her eyes and relax a bit more.

Smiling at what Alexandra said and the feelings coming off both Daeda and her was amuzing to Jairdain. When the answer was provided from where Daeda came from and being informed the Force didn't work well there brought some interest from her.

Listening to Alexandra describe the personality and actions Daeda did just made her want to cuddle him that much more.

"I rely so heavily on the Force, I'm not sure I could ever go there."

Maybe someday with somebody she trusted could take her there and see if one wanted to become a companion for her too. Something to do in the future.

"I'm not sure, his tail and fur are really soft."

Having just met Alexandra, she wouldn't dare reach out to compare, but the thought did cross her mind. Through the Force, she watched the tail twitch behind the other woman, but continued to pet Daeda.

"Trust me when I say that that pain in the rear end wishes that it's fur was as soft as mine." He tone had become to the point, but still held a great deal of humor and playfulness to it. A little bit of her poking through and leaving her to actually enjoy the moment. She didn't get much farther in her train of thought though and laughed a bit. There was something that she caught on and thought about, how the woman would be unable to see when there. It was a shame she couldn't experience the world but Alexandra assumed she wouldn't have it any other way.

"When I went to go link with Daeda, the one leading me had forgotten the force doesn't work too good, so ended up jumping off a cliff and almost fell to his death. It was a good day to be honest, something that you don't get very often in this galaxy..." She paused, looking over at her own tail and thinking for a moment before letting it lift over to where Daeda was.

"Why don't you tell me about yourself instead, and let me prove to you who is softer just to shut up this little fuzzball inside my head."
