HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The crew was founded by Cass Gemini when her only ship was still the Parting Gift, although Thrace and Kniknik are the only crew members who have served on both ships along side her. Thrace is an old friend, one of her first after saying goodbye to her old life. She is the one person Cass trusts completely, and the feeling is reciprocated by a woman who treats her like a sister.
Most of the hundreds of crew, including Pix Tellisha joined through active recruitment, Pix climbing the ranks the old fashioned way as she brought attention to herself with her impressive force assisted flying, and with her charm that Cass finds almost irresistible.
Aelex Reddman was a fence in the core when he joined the crew, initially just wanting a ride to a distant pirate base. Along the way, as payment he checked Cass's books and rearranged dome funds for her. He liked what he saw in Cass and her crew and decided to stick around, still maintain his previous contacts and using them to the ship's advantage.
Delta was picked up after screwing over a casino, her only reason was doing it for fun or so she says, hacking a secure casino for fun then being on the run from the law? A perfect fit.
Dryshan was the only survivor from a Mawite frigate when Cass stumbled upon him, some negotiations at the end of a thermal detonator and he too was on the crew, for how long is hard to say, as he initially demanded to be taken straight home, but he mostly fits in.
Kniknik had for a long time been Cass's favourite of the books mechanic, performing most of the illicit upgrades on her ships over the last 12 years. Five years ago the New Imperial Order decided he had fiddled too many transponders and rearmed a few too many pirates so he had to disappear. Stowing away on the Parting Gift for fear of being caught. He was found by the very security systems he had installed. He is now fully employed and loves his flexibility. Getting to work on the ships he helped modify and still doing the odd side job when the Midnight needed less attention.
They are all loyal to Cass and respect her greatly, even when she can be a bit reckless and impulsive, but that is the pirate life. In turn they are well paid and treated with respect.

- The entire crew are paid a retainer in any month that there is no raids.
- After each raid the crew is paid a share of the loot based on cuts. The majority of the crew get 1 cut, which, depending on crew size works out roughly one 400th of the loot after costs. Being involved in a combat breach doubles this to two cuts. Cass herself takes 50 cuts and a few notable crew also get a higher number of cuts as detailed. Cass or Thrace also have the discretion to award additional cuts or half cuts as they see fit.

She is excellent in combat with her two fully automatic submachine guns and exceptionally brave. Cass knows she can trust this woman with her life.

He does not like combat and will do his best to talk his way out of any given situation. Cass is sure he is skimming a few extra cuts off the top for his retirement, but he is the best man for the job so she just factors that in to his price.

This didn't excite her enough so she got the wanderlust and left commonwealth space. Initially wanted for desertion, she updated her records to killed in action and started a new life. Cass ran into her while investigating leads at a casino. Delta, who enjoyed chaos for the sake of it had reprogrammed the casino's entire inventory of machines to give a 110% payout rate. She walked away as crowds descended, eager for massive wins. Impressed, Cass offered her a job and a way off the planet undetected. She is mostly quiet on the bridge, working hard on digital tasks. She spends nearly all her free time working on her "masterpiece", set to rewrite the way we think about cyber security, at the moment this project is very private and she discusses the details with noone.

His raider past made him exceptionally well suited to leading charges from the front. Cass finds his techniques a little brutal but he is very effective and she wields him as a weapon. Some of the other crew don't trust him, the reputation of the Maw colouring their views. He has expressed an interest in returning to Maw territory, but as long as the money is good, he doesn't seem to be pushing it.

Their enjoyment of each other's company is known throughout the crew, but nobody says a word for fear of angering either of the hot blooded women.

His small stature, makes him excellent at reaching places that his larger contemporaries never could, and he relies on droids for heavier work. As pirate mechanics go, he is top notch, even if he can be a little abrasive.
