Creating a new Force Power Set

Warren will be looking for those Lightsided Force Masters, Knights and Padawans who aren't afraid to attempt to create new Force Powers. They'd be given whatever help they need, to develop lightside versions of the techniques the Shapers of Kro Var need, using information provided by him. Would anyone be willing to participate in such a thing? Even neutral masters, knights and others can apply. Sith or dark siders needn't apply.

Creation of Force Powers doesn't typically fly around here, with Alkahest-type stuff being the closest precedent, and even then that was more of a factory tool than a true "power". However there's nothing to stop you from being a lightsider and using Shaper of Kro Var technique, in fact former Jedi Grandmaster Joshua Dragonsflame was a pretty avid Fire Shaper. You'd have to watch your intent and stuff, as shaping doesn't always leave opportunity to show mercy, but as long as you're careful in how you use it you should be fine on the Light/Dark front.

[member="Warren Century"] There's so many powers in the Star Wars universe that you can get your hands on. No need for special powers when there's literally almost anything you can think of in this universe ^_^ just gotta do some research and reading! Its actually pretty fun too.

Another aspect though is:

If you can, combine abilities to get the result? Practice each A LOT then you can use them all together at once. It will never quite be as good as a similar ability, but it would work. My dear alt, Zaiden used nearly all known stealth techniques as one major stealth ability.

Imagine it like this - a circus perform could juggle with one hand, throw knives with another all the while riding a unicycle. Now, is he going to do it as well as if he did each alone? No. But he could do it with practice.

Tk does a lot.

It can slow molecular movememt ,= Cryo
Speed it = Fire (combustion is an actual power unrelated to the Shapers)
Plus it can make wind etc.

Yup, moving energy about (which on minor levels is a basic exercise) can do a lot based on molecular movement. Could also gather ambient moisture or use liquids already present though that might be a pain.
Key thing is to practice like [member="Fos Misao"] says. Not just for IC justification, it also helps you figure out how you want to write the power and explore it for yourself.

The Last Son
[member="Warren Century"], Yes there are. Cyrokinesis, Combustion, And Alter Environment are abilities that can be used regardless of Force orientation. Shaping arts are completely something else.

Shaping is using existing items such as fire, water, ground and air, then shape it, and move it to your will. Pyrokinesis, Combustion, and cryokinesis are literally MAKING fire, or ice out of "Nothing."

As well, You can use Shaping abilities, and still be on the light side. Many people in the past have done that. However, expect some to look down upon you for using a previously "Dark sided" power.

*is resident Master Shaper on the site.*

[member="Zephyr Carrick"], instead of making it out of "nothing" personally I think that you're rather changing the structure of the molucules around you.

The Last Son
[member="Titan Kryze"], That's why in my post I had nothing in "markings" lol.

They use the force to either increase the heat of molecules by shifting them rapidly in one area, or could be done by igniting the air and using the force a fuel. I have seen both, and done both with multiple characters.

Oh yeah!? Well I once fought Darren and Ashin at once! How's that for doing stuff!

Lol I'm bored so just spewing stuff, don't mind me!

[member="Warren Century"] Can Witches help you out on that count?

[member="Fos Misao"] To me cryokinesis and pyrokinesis are two sides of the same coin: just decrease or increase the kinetic energy of molecules respectively. And electric judgment is the neutral version of Force-lightning, not in the electrical sense, but in the Force-alignment sense.

Force-refraction means that your refraction index or that of the target will change to a certain value in a certain spectral band. If you want to be invisible to a spectrum band, you'd use the Force to set the target's refraction index to -1, if you want an object to be transparent, you'd set the imaginary part of the refraction index to 0 or, alternatively, if you want an object to be opaque to a certain spectral band, you'd set the imaginary part of the refraction index to some nonzero value. But changing the refraction index of a material is a quantum operation hence why I call it a quantum spell.

Force-decoherence allow you to use quantum tunneling to phase through walls.

More to be discussed later about the last two exotic spells in my spellbook.

...so exactly what I said? Lol.

Force Refraction..? Lol link that, never heard of it. But yeah the numbers are usually considered a no-no. Coming from an ex-top-tier-stealther, it's not always best to solidify things with numbers like that.

Phase, or like abilities, is also something I would warn against. In my three years on site, I have only used Phase an handful of times.

[member="Cathul Thuku"]

[member="Fos Misao"] I never used Phase before, and I would probably use Phase sparingly, if that's what you mean.

Force-refraction, as I described it, really is just an adaptation from Force-cloak, a more generalized form, if you will. And how exactly it is a generalization of Force-cloak.
