- Adegan crystal weave: Helps a force sensitive wearer find peace and centre themselves. Is particularly helpful for focusing on stealth abilities.
- Discrete: This is a robe and does necessarily draw much attention. The large hood can help keep the user's face hidden.
- Sneaky: The Covert Jedi Robes are made out of fabrics which produce less noise, dampens light reflections.
- Low encumbrance: These are simple robes and does not add much to the wearer's encumbrance. In short, they are easy to move around in.
- Adegan crystal weave: Helps a force sensitive wearer find peace and centre themselves. Is particularly helpful for focusing on stealth abilities.
- The 'look': Jedi robes are recognised among large swaths of the galactic population.
- Limited combat usefulness: These robes are not very useful in combat - they offer little in terms of protection.
- Non-universal: The Adegan crystal weave may be generally helpful to help the wearer find peace and centre themselves in most cases - but not for those aligned with the dark side of the force. In fact, these robes will produce a pull to the light and thereby cause enough inner turmoil to make it harder to concentrate on force abilities in general.
The Covert Jedi Robes are designed according to age-old customs with a relatively simple and elegant design. While the robes are not particularly useful in combat, they do give the wearer more flexibility and less encumbrance than armoured pieces.
Often times, the Covert Jedi Robes consists of an undertunic, an overtunic with a broad sash by the waist and then an outer robe. This varies from user to user, however and many forgo using the outer robe in order to add to their mobility. Others forgo the tunics and simply wear the outer robe on top of armour. The robe is typically characterised by its wide sleeves and deep hood. To many, the clothes can seem simple - in particular the outer robe. Others will recognise that the apparel is typically worn among Jedi - naturally, the likelihood of recognition increases when more traditional elements can be seen in the design the wearer have selected. Typically, Jedi who make use of these robes select less traditional and more mundane designs to avoid recognition.
The fabrics used to craft these robes are all specialised to hide the user from detection. Without usage of the force, the wearer can blend in in crowds and move silently in the Robes. If the wearer uses the force to hide themselves, however, the robes will aid them in this effort. This makes the robe popular among those who tend to participate in more covert missions and assignments. While it may not make them invisible, it can help them keep a low profile.
