Shiraya Sanctuary
Council Chambers

He had, to his shame, forgotten how beautiful it was here. Aiden hadn't been to the Sanctuary in quite some time, not after his departure from the Council and then his meeting with Ala in regard to his situation. He took a deep breath, breathing in the air around him. It was familiar, and he noted a floral scent that seemed to drift from the gardens. It was interesting to know how far that scent actually traveled. He made a good notion to revisit every area that he could. He wasn't looking to intrude, but simply to see some old friends. He had arrived earlier than he was supposed to for this reason exactly, to catch up.

After formalities and laughter were exchanged between some colleagues of his, they opted to have dinner with each other to catch up. They did have to scold him, reminding him that he was allowed to come here to visit as well. He had his reasons, but still, this way worked out for the best, at least for the time being. Recent events had tried his time and his mind, truthfully much more than the darkness that had plagued his spirit and soul.

The Jedi Knight said his farewells, not goodbyes, making his way toward the Council Chambers for his meeting with Master Vodet. He walked with a calm demeanor, and it would seem as if nothing was plaguing him at all. Perhaps that was the spirit of hope within him, and his own light remained constant. He remembered words that his father spoke too often, just as he said they were told to him by Tiberias.

You have people out there that need you.

He was told they didn't know it yet, but once the Jedi Knight could see it, and they caught sight of him, it would begin to become clear. Lira was a case in point. He couldn't imagine not having been there on that day. And now, he had a daughter. Aiden stepped before the door, and it slid open, he was waiting for him.

"Greetings Master Vodet, thank you for meeting with me. You look well."

There were so many issues with Naboo. It wasn't coastal. But it was swampy. There were plenty of species out there for beings like him to eat. More of the less than sapient ones for sure. But Vodet did see the possibility of going after ther certain species. Gungan did loon like a prey species for his kind.

He never followed that though too far. Sometimes nurture was stronger than nature. It was also what it meant to be a Jedi, he supposed. And to be removed from the worlds he preferred. Sacrifice and caring for others. He could do that.

Today he had a schedule. Which was unlike him. But Knight Porte had made his way towards Naboo again and the least Vodet could do was make himself available. Seeing Porte, the Yinchorri affected a smile. "Welcome. Welcome. Come in. How can I assist you today?"

"Welcome. Welcome. Come in. How can I assist you today?"

"It's good to see you Master." Aiden said, as he gave a small bow and nod towards the Jedi Master. "I apologize for disturbing you, I'll try not to take up too much of your time."

Aiden placed his hands in front him, holding them together, relaxed, and calm. "I know it's not my place anymore, I just wanted to get an update on the events after Thyferra. Also, more than anything. I wanted to get an update on the Grandmaster, how she's doing, as well as the rest of them." Aiden inquired, they were still dear to him. Yet choices that had been made following Lorn's return, the new direction of the Vanguard.

"I um...." He began.... "I want know if this orders's mission still remains the same. I want to help, as much as I can, but I want to make sure how things were being done, before recommiting myself to this cause?" There were doubts cast upon Lorn, and even Ala during the time of Lorn's return, Aiden didn't want to commit himself to a cause, if the reasons were not right. Not right by his standards, but overall. There was moments of weakness that had all been shared. They were Jedi, but that didn't mean they were perfect.

No one was, but still. He had questions, that needed answers, if they would give them to him. If not, then that response was all he needed.

However, certain actions were taken that fractured the order in two, he could only judge by what he had seen, and that was his opinion on the matter.

All Jedi came from somewhere, and while sometimes it was a bit silly, or unsettling to be called Master, he understood it was an earned title and most said it out of respect. Not like that Starchaser kid, the oldest of that clutch of Jedi. He said it and it always sounded sarcastic. But Aiden, he was something different.

“You are not a disruption. I’d be… oh Force knows what I’d be doing if you weren’t here.”
Probably some meeting. Yawning and dreaming of a swim. This was at least part of his assigned task list.

“How is it not your place? You are part of the Jedi, and helped shape what is here. After Thyferra? Its been… a bit of a discussion. With the Vanguard and all… And anytime Jedi fight the Sith, its a taxing feeling.”
Being so powerful yet sometimes, so helpless, lest they fall to the same side that the Sith did. All this, Vodet believed, was normally news that Aiden would have.

A deep breath as he looked at the Jedi Knight. He ran a clawed hand against the other, taking a few seconds to form his next statement.

“What is it that you see the mission to be?”

Aiden showed a small smile, simply nodding his head. "I know what I believe, but that is my belief."

Aiden placed his hands behind his back. "Im here to ask what the plan is moving forward. Why were the jedi not informed of this decision to weaponize the artifact. Will the High Republic personnel have sanctions placed against them for using such an artifact, which cost the lives of dozens of Jedi Knights."

Aiden took a slow and steady breath. "What does the order plan to do about this, I know the request has already been given to destroy the artifact. What does the order plan to do about itself moving forward. What is the purpose of this now?"

The large shelled reptile decided to not push further, regardless of who thought someone they were to the other asking. The Jedi Master knew that certain currents were not possible to swim against.

Perhaps that was also the way of the Jedi as of late. So many times they faltered and failed. Were stripped of power and kicked back to the smaller Enclaves and distance between the powers that be. No land and claim to power, but merely the tales that existed.

“Trust me, Aiden. If I knew those answers I’d be in a much different position than I am here. From my understanding, politicians will do unto themselves. I know the Grandmaster has something in place. I’m working to secure our enclaves and the Jedi within them. For me it is mission as usual, but I focus on the challenges on our smaller groups.”
