Corellian Promises - CC & SJO [Diplomacy Thread: Nubia/Hosnian Prime]

[SIZE=10.5pt]To many in the Galaxy the burgeoning Corellian Confederation was a pipe dream. With the Core Ravaged by the old Imperial Bloc in the aftermath of the fall of the Galactic Alliance several groups had sprung up attempting to bring peace and security to what had once been the seat of Galactic power. Corellia was just another attempt at a Core World straining for relevance again according to their detractors. But Lisza saw different. Now more than ever the Galaxy need a strong Core, even if galactic power seemed to reside in the Outer Rim and Wild Space systems. Now more than ever the people[/SIZE][SIZE=10.5pt] of the Core needed to be protected and keeping their travel routes safe along the Corellian Trade Spine and the Corellian Run were huge goals of both her's and the military's...A rare occurrence of agreement between the Diktat and her officials.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=10.5pt]But that peace and protection had been challenged. Pirates from Prakith, the ever looming threat of the rogue Sith Imperial Task Force Socorro...By all accounts both of these threats had a very small origin point where they had been harassing both military and civilian convoys. The space between Hosnian Prime and the old Corellian world of Nubia had become a hotbed of activity. With the two worlds sitting on prominent Corellian hyperlanes it was the perfect place to set up ambushes and the like despite the Silver Jedi's presence. Whether it be a result of their recent military engagements with the Mandalorians alongside the CIS or other reasons, it seemed the edges of their space had been neglected enough to disrupt Corellia's own trade.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=10.5pt]When the Corellians' shuttle had touched down on Kashyyyk she'd been taken aback by the state of the city. She'd never been to the world but had assumed it was mostly trees, not the bustling city she'd entered. When she arrived she was flanked by two Darksabers. Several Jedi and other Councilors followed from the diplomatic shuttle. The Silver Jedi capitol was full of wonder, but exploring the city would be for a different day, today was, hopefully, a day for results.[/SIZE]

Walking down the landing ramp of the shuttle behind Lisza and standing off to the left-hand side Aeneis couldn’t help but marvel at the forestry that surrounded them. Among the Kashyyyk treetops an entire city had been built. A form of technology that many ignorant to the Wookies would thought impossible, while in fact the alien species were quite ingenious when it came to technology. Hands tucked at the small of his back, back straight, Aeneis still carried the air of being a soldier more so than the Counselor that he now was. Silvery-white hair pulled back into a neat ponytail the Arkanian’s facial features were on full display.

Months ago the Corellian would’ve never in his wildest dreams imagined having been put up to be a counselor sponsoring the smaller systems and colonies within the Confederation. This was to be one of his first diplomatic meetings that carried him outside Confederation space that wasn’t about War or concerning his personal leave.

Having once been an officer instead of wearing robes like others Aeneis stood in a suit reminiscent of the Shocktrooper dress uniform. The suit black from the head down to the freshly shined Vornskr leather boots. Along the sides and over the shoulder of the suits were orange accents, and on the left side of his chest an array of badges and ribbons speaking for the man’s service record.

Straightening the tie around his neck, Aeneis felt almost naked without any of his weapons, not even a blaster for self-defense was on his being. They had come to make a good impression on the Silver Coalition, not to insult them or make them believe that they were untrustworthy. Still it set the man on edge leading to him fiddling with the cufflinks. “Quite the sight isn’t it?” The Corellian asked nodding to their surroundings. “It's amazing what they’ve been able to accomplish here. Don’t you think?” The question left in the air for any or all to answer.

Aida closed her eyes as she sat in a tranquil state. It was nearly time to greet their guests. Today, the doors of Silver Rest would be open to delegates from the Corellian Confederation. It was a group, as she understood it, that had loose ties to their own members, many of which were, in fact, Corellian born. However, the Jedi Master had not had any direct interactions with them, she looked forward to learning more. Rising from her place, the blonde woman strode through the halls, the hem of her white robes and the silver edges of her cloak swept against the polished floors.

The very aura of the Rest would be felt for quite a distance -- a place of peace. And, as Aida stepped outside into the pleasant daylight, a soft smile formed on her face. It was a very good day to welcome visitors to their home. The Wroshyr trees stood tall, the mountains were proud in the distance, and the Kashyyyk wild life -- some of it very wild indeed-- stirred.

The white-clad master would come to stand in the courtyard, just before the entrance to the temple to welcome the group as they arrived at the temple. Inside, there was a conference room ready to receive them. And, once they arrived, they would find Aida with her sharp blue gaze tempered by a kind smile.

Standing alongside [member="Aida Aquila"], Veiere Arenais awaited the Corellian Delegation with his hands held behind his back, his eyes upon the ground before him in quiet reflection. The days recently passed had been extremely busied for the Order of the Silver Jedi, some of whom were still recovering from their recent assignments involving Azure and Taanab. Political relations had been the height of Veiere's focus lately, and he'd only recently returned from a diplomatic meeting with Taozi Fuyaun of Taanab, before his presence had been requested for this affair.

It was safe to say that Veiere's mind was still busied by his recent affairs, some more personal than others, [member="Kay Arenais"] having met with the Silver Assembly and received less of a result than she had expected, though not for Veiere's lack of warning and concern. [member="Lisza Starseeker"] and [member="Aeneis Valdemar"] would hopefully prove to be a more fruitful political party to meet with in the discussions of the future relations between the Corellian Confederation and the Order of the Silver Jedi.

To Veiere's mind, the Corellians were nothing else, if not friends to the Silver Jedi, as his own former Padawan [member="Romi Jade"] was now invested in with their Green Jedi working alongside them. Romi had always been an astute, and intelligent young woman. She'd been through her own trials and tribulations similar to Veiere's own, yet he still had the utmost confidence in her to know that today's meeting was to be one between friends. Hopefully also bringing a lack of tension that his recent exploits had boasted all too well.

It would certainly be intriguing to hear what they had to say, and the reason for this visit to the home-world of the Order.

This was not Kian's first time on Kashyyyk, but it felt very different to come to the planet for diplomacy than for war. His last time here Kian had fought against Sith invaders and nearly lost his life in a fall into the Shadowlands. When the bridge he had been standing on gave way beneath his feet, Kian had fallen into the darkness. He had expected to die. He had made piece with it as he tumbled into the darkness below. But it had not been his time. He was saved by a number of Wookies, riding atop Katarns, from that fate.

Stepping down off the ramp, Kian clasped his hands in front of him, and eyed the delegation. He hadn't spent much time with non-Jedi of the Corellian Confederation and this would be a good opportunity to get to know some of the others as well as re-establish some connections with the Silver Jedi. Kian had worked with them in the past - and the Silver Shadows were often vital members of any of the dealings of Shadows across the galaxy. But Kian had been out of the fold for some time and he was unsure just who he would meet today.

"Far more peaceful now than the last time I was here." Kian said, responding to one of the delegates statements. "It is good to see the planet flourishing." Kian couldn't help but feel some guilt as he said this. Kian regretted every world the Republic had failed to protect. The One Sith were not known for peacefully maintaining a planet....instead they did terrible things to them.

Self proclaimed Starchaser the Unifier, he had made it a lot easier for Jedi to speak between Orders. In the past, there were leaders, in the Republic, the Order of the Silvers, hell, even in his own Alliance and New Jedi Order, where groups didn’t see eye to eye. And it didn’t help. Orders fell, Orders rose. Leaders stepped out of the lime light, and the message changed. But with the Alliance of Jedi that he created, and the Jedi he knew were in charge? He wanted to make sure that continued. His Order was not what it used to be.

It was smaller, it was hidden. But he was still a Corellian, and he had been doing what he could to support the Silvers since the Levantines had fallen into their ranks. But while he didn’t represent the leadership of either of the groups, he had been informed of the meeting between the Corellians and Silvers. His homeworld, and a group of Jedi he supported. Off course he was going to make his way there. The YT-2000 Tachyon Rising had made its way to Kashyyyk, not a foreign port for him at all.

What he was going to do was stay in the back, and listen. [member="Veiere Arenais"] and [member="Kian Karr"] both knew how to be upstanding Jedi. What he was intending, was if tensions got higher between the Jedi. No need for them to put the work he’d done down the pipes.

Cracking his knuckles, Yuroic wandered through the halls of the Silver Rest. It was the day of diplomacy, the Corellian Confederacy wanted to meet and discuss things. He wasn't completely sure what was going to be discussed since he had been occupied at the time. However, he was ready to get involved and talked with the Corellians, they were interesting people but he wasn't sure how this talk would go. They were neighbours but not yet allies, which was odd since they were both people wanting to support and strengthen others. Checking his robes, things were clean, perhaps not as neat as he could have looked, it was tough to look neat when he was running around after his daughter.

Stepping outside of the Rest, Yuroic spotted several people, some he could recognise instantly and others that he was unsure of. Walking up to Aida and Veiere, wearing his Jedi Robes, for today it made sense instead of his usual casual wear. Looking over those that he assumed were here for the Corellian Confederacy, Yuroic nodded his head to them. "Hello, I'm Yuroic Xeraic, member of the Assembly. Pleasure to meet you all." Yuroic offered a warm smile as he watched Aida and Veiere, they were more experienced in this style of talks so he was happy to see how they did this.

[member="Coren Starchaser"] [member="Kian Karr"] [member="Veiere Arenais"] [member="Aida Aquila"] [member="Aeneis Valdemar"] [member="Lisza Starseeker"]

"Quite," she said under her breath as they approached the Silver Assembly, answering both Kian Karr's and Aeneis' queries. She gave Yuroic a sad, warm smile and offered her hand to the Jedi Master.

"Thank you for having us Master Xeraic, though I wish it were under better circumstances. These pirates have been a menace, but this isn't the place to discuss. Shall we move our delegations?"

[member="Yuroic Xeraic"] [member="Coren Starchaser"] [member="Kian Karr"] [member="Veiere Arenais"] [member="Aida Aquila"] [member="Aeneis Valdemar"]

God, he felt old.

For a man in his late 20s, he sure as hell didn't feel like it with the way he walked. Perhaps it hadn't been expected to see one of the Assembly's Masters show up limping to the meeting on a walking stick. And perhaps he should have just shown up via holocall and protected his image -- that's what he had been told to do anyway. But Josh was a stubborn, not-so-old Jedi Master. He was showing up in person or not showing up at all. Besides, he had ended up this way in battle, in a bid to save lives. It was as much a representation of what the Silver Jedi stood for, as his words were.

And actions spoke so much louder than words.

He was not familiar with the Corellian Confederation, but any who wished to parlay friendship was welcome to the Silver Rest in his eyes, so he was happy to hear them out. With Master [member="Aida Aquila"], and Master [member="Veiere Arenais"], Josh stood alongside them as the delegation for the Corellian Confederation arrived at the Rest. While he needed to support himself with a walking stick at the moment, he was doing his best to keep his posture. Master [member="Yuroic Xeraic"] had decided to bring them to where they needed to be, though Josh was curious as to what they might be like. Honestly, had he been in a state to rush there himself, he would have probably done it himself. It was just another reminder to him of what needed to be done to keep people safe. Another sacrifice he had made. Even if he yearned for the day he would be his old self again.

The response of Kian Karr was something that made even Aeneis wince. There had been plenty of attacks on Kashyyyk in times past that had sought to destroy the forest world. Yet each time the world rose once more, somehow more magnificent than it had been before. Like a phoenix, Kashyyyk somehow managed to rise from its ashes. Many could relate that to Corellia in many ways, a planet that had once laid broken now returning to its former greatness and even being the center of a new Galactic major power.

The answers of the Diktat, Lisza was slightly more concerning. While of course he hadn’t had too many chances to work with the woman directly she cut straight to the point of the issue. No going into detail about what she thought, just a single word in response. If anything it seemed like being more talkative and friendly with the Assembly would be more beneficial to them as a whole. Perhaps it was just Aeneis being so new to the politics that he didn’t understand, maybe there was some strategy behind the Diktat’s mannerisms.

Counter to Lisza, Aeneis offered a smile to Yuroic and a respectful nod. “The same could be said for meeting you. Your reputation precedes you Master Xeraic.” As did the reputations of many others upon the assembly. It may have been an obvious statement considering many of them were Masters in the force, and had served with the Silver Jedi for so long but it was always good to pay due respect. “Hopefully after the meeting I could perhaps receive a tour of your temple?”

Upon entering the meeting hall Aeneis pulled out his own chair but did not yet sit waiting for the others of the Corellian Confederation’s assembly and representatives to do so before he took his own. Placing his hands on the table, his fingers interlocking, Aeneis took in the others. Thankfully things weren’t tense and the likelihood of being assassinated by the Silver Jedi was so slim that the Corellian dismissed the thought. It was the heart and mind of a soldier that still made Aeneis do this.

Although he'd been fortunate enough to be spared the fighting on Kashyyyk, Straid had nonetheless seen the destruction that came following the Sith's assault. The images floating around on the holonet had become infamous, as had all the documentation of war with the servants of the Dark Side. The memories would be forever seared into Straid's conscious, a reason to continue striving for peace and cooperation. The Jedi sought the same, from what he knew, which made him hopeful for today's negotiations. Despite thorough preparations, he couldn't help but feel a tang of unease. Despite his training, he could never shake that feeling right before a major event like this, be it large-scale battles or just some sentients sitting around a table talking. Yet, he kept reminding himself that it was natural. Of course, he'd be uneasy about the uncertainties that came with the important.

The advisor was dressed in formal attire, though with a slight militaristic spin. The clothing looked just civilian enough to not be a uniform, with a few flourish green accents and attachments, as well as the odd cut that broke with the rigour of Corellian military conformity. His usual brown overcoat hid the apparel from view, however, as he'd elected to not go cold during the brief walk from their shuttle to the conference site. While Kashyyyk was far from the likes of Hoth, it was nonetheless a very temperate world known for its deceptive chill. He walked wordlessly behind the Green Jedi and his own protegé. When the Arkanian addressed the Jedi after Lisza, he glanced briefly towards him, reflexively tensing his facial muscles by an imperceptible amount.

He followed his own as they were led into the conference hall by the Jedi, electing to take a seat next to his protegé. Setting his coat over the back of the chair, he sat upright, bringing his hands before his mouth, fingers interlocked and chin resting on his thumbs. He wasn't expecting many platitudes or formalities to be exchanged to commence the meeting. The Jedi weren't true politicians, he doubted they had the same muscle for empty conversation that too many of his former peers on Aurea had. The negotiation table was a battlefield of words, but he did not expect to be talking anytime soon. He was here to provide another perspective to supplement the points made by the Diktat and as such expected to fill a less talkative role during the negotiations.

He briefly glanced from person to person, finally resting his gaze on the Jedi who had greeted them, expecting him to open negotiations.

Aida glanced to the side, pleased to see Master [member="Yuroic Xeraic"] eager to begin. A more recent addition to the Silver Assembly, she had a feeling he would grow into the role of Assembly Member quite well indeed. With Masters @Veire Arenais and [member="Josh Dragonsflame"] standing with them, the Jedi group was ready to greet the members of the Confederation.

As the group of delegates approached the Rest, and Yuroic spoke in greeting, Aida would add her own words of welcome. “Thank you very much for coming – welcome to Silver Rest.” The blonde Jedi master offered a slight bow towards [member="Lisza Starseeker"].

“We have a conference room waiting,” Aida would move to lead them through the doors of the temple. “This way.”

The halls of the temple echoed with voices, the presence of the learners, knights, and masters within the temple added to the peaceful aura. Aida's silver cloak trailed behind her, but soon came to a stop outside a room – inside, a long table waited for them. Holding the door, Aida would let the group filter in, free to take a seat or grab a quick refreshment; there was water, caf, and Silver Rest's own blend of tea.

Once everyone had settled, Aida moved to take a seat with her fellow Assembly members. She took a small glance at Master Dragonsflame, and nodded to indicate that she would begin.

“We are very fortunate to have this chance to meet with you. I, for one, am looking forward to learning more about the Corellian Confederation.” Aida smiled. “Though, we understand that there is an urgent matter concerning pirates. How can we help?”

Her eyes would flicker between the members of the Confederation.

The sight of [member="Coren Starchaser"] brought a smile to Veiere's face, pleased to see a friend among the visitors to Kashyyyk. Veiere had a hand in helping his friend organize the present Alliance across the various Jedi groups and organizations, as well as the Council reluctantly presiding over them. It was in fact, thanks to Coren that Veiere was with the Order of the Silver Jedi at all, given his past and the man's strong encouragement. As the group began to move on inside, Veiere took the moment to allow the others to move ahead of them before falling in alongside Coren with a friendly nod to the man.

"I didn't expect to see you here today, Master Starchaser" he called the man by title in friendly jest; "Though I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. It's good to see you" he grinned. When it came to politics between Jedi, Coren usually had an ear to the ground in some way, shape or form.

As the two groups entered into the conference room and moved to take their seats, Veiere gave a final nod to Coren before moving to separate himself with those from the Corellian party and instead sought to seat himself alongside his peers in the Silver Assembly. Thus far [member="Yuroic Xeraic"] had welcomed them in and [member="Aida Aquila"] soon greeted them within their formal environment, business seemingly coming together and getting started off.

“We are very fortunate to have this chance to meet with you. I, for one, am looking forward to learning more about the Corellian Confederation.
Though, we understand that there is an urgent matter concerning pirates. How can we help?”.
Those whom might have been paying attention to him, might notice a subtle frown cross his brow as Veiere listened to the mention of piracy and the supposed urgency behind the matter. Unfortunately, Pirates were like flies in most sectors of known space, they'd come and go and almost with little order or strategy behind their raids. They were an issue that Veiere had dealt with plenty before, concerning Commenor and the world's whom were formerly supported under their authority as a government back then.

Rather intrigued, Veiere's gaze moved to the Corellian party, curious to listen to their story and purpose for coming to them. The Silver Jedi had often come across crime in their territory, and this was oft met with swift consequences from their supporting Naval Force that patrolled the border. Detaching his datapad from his belt, Veiere placed the device in his lap and activated it, seeking to double check the status of their space as if the meeting had cautioned him some.

Josh was surprised to see [member="Coren Starchaser"] as well -- and see him healthy. It seemed he had fared better in the battle than he had, which was good. Josh's scar still hurt and probably would hurt for some time. But that was the price he had paid. He was curious if Coren had paid a price as well, and was just able to keep from showing it. It's what Josh would have done -- if he had been able. If he could, he'd kick this walking stick aside and dance on the tables just to "prove" that he could.

Well, not right now anyway. They had important business to deal with. Josh was not familiar with the rest of the delegation that had gathered, but he was sure he would get to know them before long. [member="Veiere Arenais"] and [member="Aida Aquila"] had jumped right on it, giving pleasantries and offering aid in their matters against the pirates if only they would elaborate. Josh would greet them with a warm smile and gingerly bow his head.

"It is good to meet you all. For this pirate matter -- and any other matter -- please feel free to detail as you wish. If there is any way we can help, we would be remiss if we didn't know as much as we could, and any details that may potentially be important."

It was curious to observe Veiere show a slight burrow of his brow, though the mention of pirates were a concern to Yuroic as well. However, his issue with this matter was the need for all this over pirates. For Yuroic, pirates were something you might message about and leave it to the SJO, they had plenty experience dealing with pirates. To call a meeting to urgently discuss them, something else was really what needed to be discuss. What that was eluded Yuroic but he was being cautious about not setting his mind on the matter but he wasn't going to give anything away. A cool exterior as they all proceeded to the meeting room.

Yuroic took a seat beside Veiere and Josh, watching Veiere pull out a datapad scrolling through information about their worlds. "Ah, I got a bad feeling about this meeting too. Pirates aren't something we need to discuss like this, they could be after resources from us or perhaps ships?" Yuroic whispered to Veiere quietly. Looking over to the Corellians he offered a polite smile once again, he wanted to help them out with this piracy issue but he wasn't sure if they would be asking a large amount from them. While neighbours, they were not allies yet. Something that they could reconsider going forward.

Kian had remained silent for much of the arrival of the other attendees - bowing politely in greeting to those who arrived. Kian, while not a novice, was certainly not a master of diplomacy. He much rather preferred to take a backseat to negotiations and diplomatic meetings - observing for signs of deceit or unacknowledged concerns. This was not why he was here today - however. Kian did not expect deceit to come from the Silver Jedi Order, he had always held them in the highest regard. Kian's accompanying the delegation today was to established new connections after some time away from interactions with the Silver Jedi and to hopefully inquire with the Silver Shadows.

Following the delegation into the conference room, Kian settled into an open seat and placed his elbows on the arms of the chair, his taloned fingers interlocking just below the protrusions of his anti-ox mask. Kian scanned the room, taking in so many familiar faces. [member="Coren Starchaser"] - Kian knew the man by reputation though surprisingly he could not remember ever working with the famed Jedi personally. Lately, Kian had been introduced to two of his children. If his Jedi offspring were any indication of the man, Kian would be pleased. [member="Josh Dragonsflame"] was a Jedi Kian had interacted with personally, though only on a few occasions. There had been a ball...if his memory served him in which an altercation had happened. Jedi Dragonsflame was trying to intervene in a younger Jedi's foolishness. Kian also remembered an awkward conversation aboard a snowy planet about a darkside user who had betrayed him. The others Kian knew by reputation only. [member="Aida Aquila"] was renown for her force abilities and, having now stood in her presence, Kian could understand why. There were few Jedi he'd met who radiated such power. [member="Veiere Arenais"], likewise, was famed for his wisdom and understanding of the force.

"The attack on Prakith was uncharacteristic of pirates," Kian said responding, despite his inclination to just sit and listen, "at least from my limited experience with them." Kian had dealt with pirates before - but his focus had always been on those who walked a darker path. "There were multiple groups working together in a relatively coordinated attack. And there were Dark Jedi, perhaps even Sith, among them." That had been the part about Prakith that had been on Kian's mind the most of late. "Whether that was an isolated incident or signs of a large purpose is yet to be seen." Kian turned his head toward his fellow delegates, stopping there to allow them to bring their own concerns forward.

Starchaser did have a few hands in this race. He wanted what was best for Corellia, but at the same time, he had to worry on after the Silvers. They were able to take care of themselves, for sure, but he was still going to watch out. Knowing how to work with each group of Jedi was something the Master knew. He jokingly called himself a Pope, but it was true that he did help unify the discussion of what it meant to be a Jedi with everyone. People were looking to each other like they were friends, not like they were competing.

The Jedi Master was a warrior, but he was starting to pull back. He was a leader, he was the one who was providing the direction on the field. He wanted to make sure the Jedi were there and ready even without him always pushing the charge. The Corellian took a seat, off to the side, and nodded to the leaders. If he was needed, he’d step in.

But for now?

He’d observe.

The walk into the chambers was brief and beautiful. It had hints of architecture that was a common denominator throughout Jedi history and various Jedi temples she'd seen in her own studies, though this temple had a distinctly...Tree-friendly feel. She nodded as she sat, listening to the Silver Jedi speak their brief platitude laden introduction.

"It is as Master Kian Karr says. The pirates have become emboldened and are growing a network of coordination the likes the Core has never seen. Not at least since the Mandalorian Pirate incursions just after the Gulag Plague." She shifted uncomfortably in her seat. "Not that any of us were alive or old enough to remember those times," she said with a light hearted skip in her voice.

"It pains me to say this, but it is preciously because you seem to have forgotten where your borders are and have forgotten to help that we are here to begin with." From a pocket in her gown she removed a datacard and slit it into the table. The holodisplay lit up with what seemed to be fleet movements in Silver, Purple, Red, and Orange. Ship movements from the ongoing conflict with the Mandalorians, though how time accurate they were was anyone's guess as they were merely observations of the Corellians.

"During your conflict with the Mandalorians over the last few months a surprising number of your judicial force fleets have been moving closer and closer to the conflict. While normally this wouldn't been an issue," she tapped a few buttons erasing the other ships except the Silver vessels. In several systems along the Corellian and Silver Jedi border various systems began flashing red and translucent red ships began popping up.

"In your absence our intelligence has indicated that several large pirate groups have either increased activity or downright settled down in various border systems with the most prominent being between the Hosnian and Nubia systems."

"While it is our belief that galactic governments have a right to govern how they see fit within reason," she wanted to say this without sounding accusatory, "I've spoken to several colleagues from the Nubia system and they've expressed a great deal of disatisfaction with the situation, as have our own people considering the effect these Pirates have had on our trade."

Aida gave Master [member="Kian Karr"] a nod as he spoke. Though she had not had the pleasure of meeting him before, his reputation preceded him –- he was highly respected among the Jedi. Indeed a coordinated attack was cause for worry, especially near – or in – their space. However, Aida arched a curious brow as [member="Lisza Starseeker"] spoke.

It was bold to suggest that the Order had forgotten their borders.

Indeed, they had been quite busy with the Mandalorian threat as of late, but not to the point of neglecting everything else. The Order was large, they had many members and resources to dispatch, should there be need. And, truly... they were never really absent. Their temple on Kashyyyk a shining beacon, and they had enough light to reach beyond their capital world.

Aida canted her head slightly at the mention of 'galactic governments,' the Order itself was not a government. The worlds in their space were free to govern themselves, with aid and assistance from the Order when needed. Of course, if there were problems, such as pirates, the Order would deal with it swiftly. Her icy gaze shifted to find her fellow Assembly members.

This news involving the Nubia system is troubling,” She started with a nod, “And – it is not that I find your words untrue or untrustworthy,” Aida said, her tone calm and even. “However, we shall need to confer with the ruling bodies on Nubia to confirm.”

With that, she glanced around the table, interested to see what the Silver Assembly members had to say or if members of the Confederation would seek to add to the explanation.

[member="Kian Karr"] was not a new face to him, though it had certainly been a few years since their last contact. He didn't remember any of it that vividly though. Much had happened in the years since, after all. But that was why new memories could always be made. But it was time to get to business. Karr talked about how the pirates were in focused groups, coordinated. And even included what appeared to be Dark Jedi and even Sith. That was concerning indeed. Sith pirates? It wasn't something he was used to hearing about, but it was certainly worth investigating.

And then [member="Lisza Starseeker"] spoke up.

"It pains me to say this, but it is preciously because you seem to have forgotten where your borders are and have forgotten to help that we are here to begin with."

The Jedi Master's visage had begun to grow more and more serious as he had listened intently, but the moment she spoke those words, his eyes appeared to dullen as the colour left his cheeks. Well, they weren't wasting time getting dicey, were they? An icy stare bore into her, as he listened to the rest. Pirate activity had increased while their forces had been mobilizing to fight off the Mandalorian terrorists. That was the understanding he had of the situation. But the need for what came off as an insult in his view, was unnecessary. If they wanted them to take down the pirates, then ask them to deal with the pirates. It was as simple as that. To act as though they were negligent over planets they did not own, was needlessly tactless.

And acting as though they were a governing body, and not just a force that helped planets under their protection when asked, also caused a brow to furrow. Master Aquila appeared to be of the same mind as he, as she had an uncharacteristically cold gaze to her that made it clear she felt the same.

"Master Aquila is correct. It is in the best interests to open contact with the system and ensure we have a proper reading on the situation from the surface. Not to mention keeping contact with them to ensure they know what we are doing. It is not as if we can operate in the system without their input after all" He pointed out calmly. "We'd need to be Jedi Overlords or govern over their planet or something to do that" He joked with a light chuckle - his way of making the reminder of what the Silver Jedi Order were as light as possible.

"So I assume your trip here is to ask us to deal with the pirate threat, correct? Or is there more to it?" He inquired. "By my understanding of the situation, pirate activity has increased in the mentioned systems, and we may be dealing with Force wielding ones as well. Feel free to point out if I've missed anything important."
