STRENGTHS
  • Shipbuilding: The Concordance was designed to manufacture swatches of vessels simultaneously. Its four outward construction yards provide the capability of producing vessels ranging from the sizes of corvettes to star destroyers. Within its second major ring, the shipyard possesses the ample facilities to rapidly manufacture
  • Hangar Space: Designed to receive numerous shipments of supplies at a time, the shipyard possesses several extremely large hangars that may comfortably house anything from small starfighters to larger freighters.
  • Research Facilities: Located within the shipyard's central column and sealed behind several layers of reinforced hull plating, the Concordance's research and development facilities play host to the reliable and safe testing of cutting-edge equipment that the shipyard's teams of engineers manufacture. Once designated for later use, pioneering systems are able to be quickly installed in brand new starships.
WEAKNESSES
  • Frail: What limited armor plating the Concordance does possess is included specifically for the purpose of structural support during starship construction. When the shipyard’s deflector shield is taken down, this reinforcement ultimately provides little effect in guarding the facility from enemy attack.
  • Poorly Armed: The only armament the Concordance possesses is its arrays of point defense missile launchers, which merely retain effectiveness against small craft and guided munitions. The shipyard is thus rendered entirely dependent on a patrolling flotilla for fire support.
  • Especially Vulnerable Targets: This includes the Construction Docks, Hangar Bays, and Command Block (at the very top of the shipyard’s main column).
DESCRIPTION
The first dots on the blueprint of the Concordance could be traced far back to the end of the Sith’s occupation of Chandrila. A recovering admiralty, seeking to reinforce the planet’s existing defenses should their enemies return, would begin the task of multiplying the Defense Fleet’s production facilities; and as such, the existing Nadiri Dockyards were commissioned to build the first of the Concordance rings. Besh Ring, spanning 2200 meters in diameter and possessing the necessary capabilities for starfighter construction, was tugged into the lagrange point between Chandrila and its moon of Chandra. Next came the central column, tugged and later secured to the existing Besh Ring. The column would serve to provide the necessary command and control facilities to run the developing station, and would serve as an anchoring point for the additional planned structures.

Within two years came the Aurek and Cresh rings, hosting living amenities and cargo storage respectively. Once the final rings had been set in place, Concordance fleet shipyards would be completed with a set of four large construction yards outstretched from its column. Following a final rigorous inspection, the cranes they carried were set alight in a furious motion; light would stream out from the shipyards as brand new starships left its protection.
