PRODUCTION INFORMATION
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
  • Classification: Fuel Contaminant
  • Method of Consumption: Poured into liquid fuel; self-mixing, does not need to be stirred.
  • Average Life: Compound H retains its properties for up to five years when cooled by liquid nitrogen or kept at comparable temperatures; its properties are maintained for at least one day outside frozen temperatures. Once mixed into fuel, it will never expire but the fuel is likely to be rendered inert (and thus harmless) in no more than six standard months due to the Compound's degenerative properties.
  • Nutritional Value/Allergies/Side Effects/Purpose: Drinking Compound H will probably kill you. Painfully. You raving lunatic.
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Compound H can contaminate both gaseous and liquid-state fuels; anything from hypermatter to blaster gas is susceptible, but the favoured target of many saboteurs is the fuel used by sublight engines. Once contaminated, the fuel will seemingly function as normal initially, but the fuel will become unusually corrosive, risking damage to various systems; after a while, it will 'mature' and subsequent use will lead to 'sudden and unpreventable detonation'. If a larger than normal dose of Compound H is used, this effect will occur immediately, but the fuel still needs to be used, e.g., by firing a blaster, initialising an engine, or spooling up a hyperdrive.
STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
  • Logistics Wins Wars: A single person can carry enough Compound H to ruin a supertanker worth of fuel; once contaminated, fuel is utterly unsalvagable. Worst case, the enemy detects it and disposes of the fuel - best case, the fuel is used and catastrophic side effects occur.
  • Radioactive: Compound H is radioactive; not enough to make carrying it too dangerous, but detection is a possible issue.
  • Solid Fuels: Compound H cannot ordinarily contaminate solid-state fuels; it needs to be able to mix.
DESCRIPTION
Compound H is a compact tool of sabotage; even a tiny vial hidden inside a saboteur's body is sufficient to cripple a Star Destroyer's fuel supply. The quantities needed for a blaster or a speeder bike are too small to be measured by most tools - just pour it into whatever they refuel from.

It would make sense to keep such a weapon a carefully-kept secret, but Apex is not known for being careful when there is field testing to be done. As such, the substance is notoriously easy to order in the less-scrupulous parts of the HoloNet - unfortunately, Apex cannot be bothered to do your smuggling for you and so it is typically left behind in dead drop locations somewhere in deep space.

No discounts, even for those fighting for 'freedom'; you pay the same rates the Sithy terrorists do. Same difference.
