Common Glass. [TSE vs Commenor Yutan]

Cassius had been meditating, or at least trying to when word of the Sith decimation of Yutan came over the wires. While he’d heard about Yutan’s break with the Commenor Systems Alliance, he couldn’t help but feel for the sorrow and pain thrust upon the citizens. They hadn’t asked for this – no one did. As he started to see the casualty estimates roll in, he tried his best to keep his anger in check. Jedi do not let anger control them, he told himself, trying to remember the lessons taught to him by the holograms on Rinn, and with the real Jedi he trained with now.

Compassion, however, was allowed, and right now his compassion told him that he needed to try and help the Yutani people. Rising from the meditation cushion he had been sitting on, he grabbed his datapad and checked on the status of his A-wing, currently docked in the hangar. The small repairs, restocking, and refueling he had requested had been completed. His finger floated over the button to transmit a request for a departure.

He was affiliated with the CSA now, and the Jedi Order. Just blindly running into battle against a foreign power could mean an interstellar incident, even if his intentions were altruistic. Sighing, he looked over to his pilot’s helmet, sitting next to his flight suit and blaster. Even while flying as a Rinn pilot, he could go into action if he felt the need to. Now, he needed to go through proper channels. Calling his lightsaber to him with the Force, he clipped the ancient weapon to his belt as he made his way out of his quarters.

As he made his way over to Lady Kay’s office, he sent her a comm transmission that she could listen to at her leisure. “Ma’am, I heard about Yutan. Let me know if there’s anything you need.” Whether it was as a starfighter pilot, a transport pilot, or as a Jedi, he wanted to make himself available. It would be difficult, to sit by and watch while an entire planet was razed, but he had to teach himself patience.

Kay wasn't their Queen. She was the Chancellor. Yet [member="Natalie LaForte"] was right. The Senators needed to learn that as with any job, there were consequences to not adhering to her calls. Being a Senator was an all day, every day job. One was always on duty. There were no breaks, no sick days. Unless of course one had an assistant or two. Still, her calls should be a priority over anything else.

~I'm not there yet, Senator LaForte, but I will be there soon. I'll send word about your vessel but be sure to announce yourself as well. Safe journey, Senator LaForte.~ Kay ended the call, thinking not entirely on the Yutan situation, but on some of what Senator LaForte had said. She was reformed? How would she know of how the Sith felt about casualties unless....She pushed it out of her mind. Yutan was more important at the moment.

Kay got to her feet, grabbing her little pistol nicknamed the Diplomat, tucking it into the sleeve of her gown. She hestitated briefly before picking up her ornately decorated lightsaber. There could be a chance that she'd need it, and [member="Veiere Arenais"] always felt better when she had it.

Thinking of her husband, she reached out to him a bit, not with words but wanting to get a sense of how he was. What the Force brought back was the feelings of foreboding. He was about to do something that he didn't like, much as she had many times before with walking into traps and giving ones' self over to the enemy. She pulled her focus away, clipped her lightsaber to the belt of her gown and headed out of her office.

Kay nearly bumped into [member="Cassius Droma"] on her way out, having not even looked at the message that he left her. "Cassius! What are you--nevermind, I need you. Come with me." She quickly walked by him and headed down the corridor, her pace brisk and almost at a jog. Two of her guards would fall in pace behind them. "We need to get to Yutan. I've got to alert our fleet at Sev Tok and bring them over there. I need you to take me out there. You've flown in combat, so I'll trust your instincts. Hopefully we're not too late." Kay planned on taking her ship, the Free Lady, a diplomatic modified freighter with some weapon capabilities. Perhaps enroute she'd call in the Queensguard, but she didn't want to make it seem as though she was invading Yutan. That choice will come later.

With the long range communications on Yutan disabled, she was unaware of [member="Viktor Alexander"] 's latest broadcast. That was probably a good thing. But there was no doubt that she had a lot of work ahead of her in regards to rectifying the situation. Who knew that Viktor's hate and distrust of her could go so far? And he had the gall to say that her security wasn't good enough? It seemed as though his was a far cry from perfect itself.

Lark listened to his Master's orders, disappointed that he was being sent away. Although moments ago he was bursting with enthusiasm to descend to the chaos-ridden planet, now there were Jedi coming to their ship! And a Grandmaster, no less. If there was a party of Jedi boarding their vessel, he wanted to be here for it. But he couldn't disobey a direct order given to him by his Master. "If you believe it to be wise, I'll depart immediately. Anyone still alive and resisting will be eliminated without fail." In truth, if his Master was honest in his attempts to keep the meeting peaceful, it was sensible of him to send Lark off. He could be unintentionally antagonizing at times, and chaos tended to linger around him like a putrid scent.

He turned and left quickly, before the arrival of the Jedi tempted him into staying. There were surely Jedi still present below, he could satiate his unforeseen bloodlust either way. In time, he would ascend the ranks of the Sith. In truth he knew he should be delighted to be given such an important task, for he was still low in the pecking order. This was a chance to prove his worth.

So he hopped aboard a shuttle making it's descent to Yutan. The trip down was uneventful, as any resistance that would normally be present had already been dealt with. During the few quiet minutes prior to their landing, he let his thoughts run wild. He had plenty of experience fighting, but this might me his first time combating a Jedi. It was well that he was now much more familiar with the workings of the Force, for if he did encounter a Jedi he'd be more prepared for whatever might be thrown at him.

The shuttle landed, and Lark stepped out once the small squad that accompanied him emerged. The smell of death and ash surrounded them, an all to familiar essence. This should be fun, Lark thought.

"Master Veiere, unexpected. You realize I'm here to kill your kind left on Yutan and punish the people for your trespasses, correct? You are welcome aboard my ship Grandmaster.
I respect your desire to keep this as non violent as possible. But I hope you realize there is a chance you will not make it back off. Out of my respect I give you the option to turn back. Which shall it be?"
Veiere sat back within the pilots seat of the KingsGuard, his eyes staring out through the transparent panel of the yachts cockpit, the ship larger than most personal craft and not leaving him without options where the other two Jedi accompanying him on this errant venture were concerned. The dark and taunting voice that had come back over the intercom didn't hesitate to remind Veiere of his place before the fight of their predecessors and yet Veiere's decision had not changed. "Master Jade..." He called his former apprentice not by her name but by the title that she held as a Jedi Knight and Council member, knowing that she'd not at all appreciate what he was going to command of her; "You will take control of the Pheonix and see her to safety..." in the back of his mind he could feel [member="Lady Kay"] reaching out, trying to get a feel for the situation he was facing. Between the bond they shared within the Force and the wedding rings that were imbued with the Force and strengthened their connection to one another, Veiere needed some reassurances that she would not rush to resort to the same approach he was about to take. "Rendezvous with the Commenori fleet, I suspect they are on their way...If I don't return, the Jedi Council needs to remain strong. See too it that my Wife does not throw herself to the wolves...".

"Vlarem..." Veiere turned to look to the larger of the three, rising from his seat so that [member="Romi Jade"] might take it up and follow his instructions, "I don't make a habit of encouraging Students to their deaths...-Your choice remains your own. I would however encourage you not to come with me..." He bowed his head to them both before stepping between them for the corridor leading deeper into the craft, "I'm taking the X-Wing, there's a fighter in the secondary bay should anything happen...-Good luck, and May the Force guide you both".

The flight to the Sith Flagship would be short work for the X-Wing, hindered not by the weight nor the guilt of company, Veiere boarded the smaller vessel and departed from the KingsGuard glad that the gift his wife had given to him would not be burned up in the flames of war that would consume them. "Cap, disengage offensive systems and all secondary functions. Let them see we're coming in cold" Veiere spoke to his astromech co-pilot seated within the hull of the star fighter.

With entrance to one of the larger hangers to the enemy flagship cleared for his approach, the astromech guided the fighter in to dock; the shadow of the great Sith vessel's hanger closing in over top of him and finalizing his decision with no way of turning back. If [member="Vlarem"] had indeed decided to join him, he would likely be landing not so far from there.

"Senator...?"

The question would be halted before it could even be asked by a single, matt black and cybernetic hand that would unclasp itself from beneath Virak's chin. With a nod, the aide simply turned and stride out of the room, leaving the Zabrak alone to his thoughts. Re clasping his hands together, tanned and scarred fingers intertwining with cold and metallic fingers, Virak resumed the thoughts that had been disrupted by his aide, the weight of his head resting upon his hands as he sat, slumped forwards slightly, at his desk. Before him, scattered across the carved and polished wooden surface, were pieces of flimsiplast, each with the Zabrak's scrawl written across them. Notes and observations fed to him over the developments on Yutan.

For, the Zabrak had pulled himself from nothingness, found his potential and, in what he could admit as a solely selfish and desperate move, was unwilling to return to knowing nothing and, as such, Eyes of his were posted across space under the dominion of the CSA. With the development of Yutan removing itself from the Alliance and the Commenori Fleet pulling out of Yutan space, a good majority of his Eyes had been sent to Yutan to watch, especially considering the Jedi enclave on the planet. As such, when the Sith Fleet had appeared, his Eyes had alerted him to the fact. Through them, he had heard and seen to bombardment, heard and seen the speeches broadcasted across the planet. Since the news had started flocking in, he had sat in thought, going over all that he was learning with the order that he was not to be disturbed by anyone, for any reason, until he broke said order himself.

The simple conclusion of his thoughts and notes was simple. He scoffed at the government of Yutan. From what he understood, from what information he had been privy to as he had been absent from the politics of the Alliance in recent times, they had withdrawn willingly from the Alliance. They had withdrawn and, as such, the Fleet above them had withdrawn. The fact that this had left them undefended meant that such an act had been one of egos and choice made in the moment, for they had had no replacement defenses ready to put into action, leaving them open to attack. And now that they were left alone as they had asked, left defenseless through their own arrogance, they chose to simply stick their heels deeper into the ground, fight all the harder for their decision of ego, through demonisation of the Alliance they had left. The Alliance that had withdrawn its aid since the Yutan government had no longer wanted it. In all, the arrogance, the ego, simply served to darkly amuse the Zabrak.

Humming to himself in a finalisation of thought, Virak pushed himself to his feet with a groan. Pressing one of the buttons on his desk, he called for the aide he had minuets ago dismissed as he set about wrapped his head in stripes of white cloth, concealing the damage done to the right side of his face behind the fabric.

"You called, Senator?"

"Yes. Please do contact Lady Kay, I wish to speak to her regarding the situation of Yutan."

"Right away, Sir. But, just to inform you, you've missed one call from the Lady in regards to the situation due to your enforced silence."

Nodding his silent acknowledgement to the update, Virak finished wrapping the bandages around his head as the aide bowed and backed out of the room, following protocol by sealing the doors as he left before starting the call. Such protocol had been put in place by Virak so as to ensure that private communications remained private and that there was no chance of a leak of secrets. Striding over to the large holocomunicator set off to one side of the room, Virak straightened his outfit, smoothing out the wrinkles that had formed from sitting in place for too long, before clasping his hands behind his back as the call finally connected.

"My Lady? What orders do you have for the Fleet stationed here? Are we to continue to hold? Or shall we act to save the people of Yutan from the egos of their government?"

[member="Lady Kay"]

I guess I will receive no calls at the moment.

"Um.. I don-"
"End the line. I guess I will just meet with whoever comes onto the ground."
"You are going to meet up with the Sith?"
"Get baby girl ready. Your line ends too."

The man didn't respond back to me. I had already ended transmission with him. Walking over to the corner of the room, I grabbed a sword held within a rather simple sheath. However, the sword was one that I have had for a rather long time. In fact, another Sith I knew and had some resemblance of respect for, aided me in the creation of the weapon. However, I had grown far much more from that time.

Wrapping the blade onto my side, I pushed the door gingerly with my gauntleted hand. Slipping out. Simply walking past some lady who was returning to her room with laundry. The look she had over me was one quite strange. Even then, I could see the shadow of a man appear in the elevator. Even while walking in, I could hear the man's labored breathing. Even though he was dead.

"You seek to fight these Sith don't you?"
"If they attack me, yes. For now, I wanna talk."
"Talking has never been your strong suit."
"Yet I am speaking to you instead of shoving you to the back of my mind."
"You want me to do something don't you?"
"Yes. Now listen closely...."

About five minutes later, After the whole bombarding of the place, I found myself walking outside. My boots making a few thuds as I started to see ships spreading out like a cloud of locusts from the battleships. I wanted their attention. Let me put it this way. Ignore my call, and I will grab your attention a different way."

Reaching out with my hands, I could feel my blood to run hotter and hotter as I reached out and grabbed a few of the ships in the air. I smiled with glee as I crushed my hand. The dropships engines would crush under the might of the force, and plummet through the atmosphere. Burning up and falling. After doing that, My little Sith friend in my head could talk to others if he projected himself. One to stand before whoever stood at the bridge of the main vessel.

"I am here to speak to the Sith in charge. My Lord sends word of your attention."

The Sith had started landing on the surface. Yuroic was just grateful that the bombardment had ceased, the temple was still crumbling and falling apart, debris bruised and bloodied him somewhat as he struggled to exit the temple. Then he felt her, her aura was not hidden like before and she had a purpose, it was him. Yuroic steeled himself up as he knew this confrontation was going to happen, however, he never thought it would be like this.

Yuroic marched towards Jairdain, before stopping and checking on his injuries, most were minor scratches which he healed with ease but there were some deeper cuts that took more effort for him to heal. Thankful that he had learnt how to heal most external injuries during his exile. It was one of the reasons he was able to survive. When he saw Jairdain, wearing her mask, he let out a sigh of disappointment. Part of him had wished he had been wrong that she was not here.

Seems the day has come for you to choose my love. Do you fight me or shall we talk about how the Sith just killed hundreds of innocent civilians for no reason? Yuroic leaned against a pile of rubble that could have been a home to someone, just to further drill in his point. Or are you so far down the Dark path that you don't see these people as innocent? Do you consider the bombardment a just cause?

"Commander, you will assume control of this vessel and the fleet. Once all ships are rounded up and the officials of Yutan are gathered you are to message me. Until then we will hold this planet in a blockade. Understood?" The Commander gave a swift salute and the elder Lord hobbled off the deck leaning on his cane for support. The mission at hand was completed, Yutan would need Commenor's help. But with [member="Veiere Arenais"] 's well timed arrival another opportunity arose. The chance to test not only the King of Commenor, but the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order. An opportunity a being of war such as Krest could not pass up.

Veiere would find no troops to greet him in the hanger. No ships, no turrets, nothing to threaten him. Instead the hobbled over figure of the Sith Lord who had initiated the destruction of Yutan would stand before him favoring his cane. A patient smile formed on Krest's lips as he offered a simple bow of his head. "Welcome aboard Grandmaster. Or should I say King? I'm sure we have much to discuss."

Standing behind Master Veiere, Vlarem listened to the words of the Master Jedi, they were heavy, what was happening now seemed to weigh heavily on Veiere’s mind. So much so that he considered this a death mission, but they were Jedi which lived in a galaxy that sought to eclipse the light. They wished to extinguish all vestiges of the light from the galaxy till none remained. Death wasn’t a mere possibility, it was a certainty in the state the galaxy was. The orders in which Veiere gave Romi made sense, the Jedi council had just been reformed, losing Veiere would be a heavy blow to the order itself, all he worked for potentially shattering. If they were to lose Romi as well the order would never be able to recover. This is why Vlarem agreed with the sentiment of sending Romi away, it would’ve helped to have the back up but he understood.

“Master Veiere you are forgetting about one thing, Death yet the force. It is our duty as Jedi to lay down our lives for the innocent, the people of Yutan may not wish for our presence but we can still endeavor to save them. While you go into the belly of the beast I’ll be heading below. There are sure to be Sith and their soldiers storming the planet, I can’t allow civilians to die in such a way.” Placing a hand on
Veiere’s shoulder Vlarem gave a solemn bow, perhaps his last to the master whether one or both of them die in this conflict at least they were doing it in the name of justice, in the name of the light. “Tell our stories Romi, this is what it means to be a Jedi, laying it all down.” Turning on his heels Vlarem made his way to the other portion of the ship where a T-65 X-wing waited for him to take it down to the planet.

Five minutes later Vlarem jetted out of the ship where he began his flight path down to the planet. Without the fleets of Commenor to protect the planet what defenses Yutan had was negligible, the Sith vessels tore into the ships attempting to flee, while Vlarem darted to and fro dodging turbolaser fire that wished to engulf the Falleen and his vessel. He would not die here, there was too much left to do. A galaxy that needed those of the light in the coming darkness.

Climbing down from the X-Wing to drop down onto the Hangar floor, the astromech in the seat above gave a loud whistle signalling the arrival of [member="Krest"], the hunched over form of black hobbling his way towards Veiere, the Jedi Master turning to look upon his welcome with a stern jaw; not for the nature of the figure itself but the presence in darkness that he carried and the lack of all other life within the open facility. Such titles were spoken with sarcasm and pessimistic declaration, a means of probing the Jedi perhaps.

"You'll have to forgive me my lack of formalities but I'm afraid you have me at a disadvantage".

He bowed his head some as he greeted the other before moving to step away from the small craft in which he had come in upon, seeking to put some distance between he and any obstruction, looking to meet the Sith Lord upon open and mutual ground with nothing to come before them as a means of deterrence should their discussion lead to the violence that Krest had displayed thus far in his assault of the world of Yutan.

"You know of me, yet I know not who you are...The way you carry the Force, I could perhaps presume yet such is not in my nature. You have entered a system under the care of the Commenor Systems Alliance and yes, I would discuss your immediate cessation of hostilities. The Systems Alliance holds no enemies with your kind...".

The Jedi Order on the other hand had already been called upon to defend worlds and peoples against the likes of the Sith Empire, yet again his words could not be faulted as their way was the way of defense, never the instigators of violence nor conflict. [member="Lady Kay"] and Veiere himself had worked alongside Darksiders in the past. Atrisia and later diplomats for political pursuits in the galaxy, many a time Veiere finding himself standing in conflict with his personal history though such was the price of establishing a peaceful nation such as the CSA. Now, having since reformed the Jedi Order and sought to attain the relics and places of light they had lost so many years ago, the galaxy had been faced with another great time of darkness; the Jedi were rising to answer its call.

"What is it you seek here...".

Jairdain knew he would come to her presence once he knew she was on the ground. They were destined to meet again. She knew this would not be the last time. Again they would go their separate ways.

Walking stoically through the new ruins left the previous bombardment, the light in her cried, but the dark in her was stronger. His words meant to draw her did not have the full desired effect he wanted. She knew control before and maintained it now. Jairdain did not let lose her emotions as maybe he had hoped she would.

"I said before, I will not fight you, Yuroic."

She had not pulled the trigger or ordered the attack of the planet they now stood on together.

"These innocents I didn't kill. Sometimes drastic actions need to be taken to get a point across."

The gods knew her people had done that. While Krest had altered her memory, the ones of her people he left almost entirely alone. What she knew and remembered of them was true. The executions of those that went chaotic were still in her mind.

"I'm not like them. The control I have is was makes me different."

[member="Yuroic Xeraic"]

Yuroic gave a slight sigh of relief. Her mask still put him on edge, he was not at ease with the act of bring Dread Masters back. They were an evil that was best left in the past, beings lost to chaos and the Dark Side of the Force. They were insane and betrayed their Emperor in the end. He wiped away some blood and sweat, shaking his head slowly as he listened to what she had to say, excuses on why she didn't have to feel guilty on the death of all these people.

These people die. You might not have give the order, fired the gun or knew it was going to happen. But you are helping the ones that did. You are just as guilty for their deaths as whoever ordered this bombardment. Yuroic gazed sternly at her, he was angry at the violence that took place here. Don't ever forget this day. This is proof that the Sith aren't the strong fair people you think they are. They have slaughtered civilians because Jedi once lived here, it was a move of weak minded, power hungry fodders. No point was made bar the Sith will kill those who are not one of them.

You only think you have control. Control is an illusion. No one can control the Force, Sith think they can but it controls them. Yuroic smirks widely. When you realise that, perhaps then you will realise that you have fallen from what your Code states, fallen from what your people believed. Until then, I must go, if you are on the surface then so are other Sith and they will kill others, Jedi or not. I need to ensure they do not, I won't see more innocent people die under Sith hands.

Yuroic rose to his feet and passed Jairdain. I know you won't fight me, but the Sith will see that as a weakness, they do not take kindly to weaknesses. They aren't as understanding as others. Yuroic touched her shoulder gently before walking, searching for other Sith out there.

He’d nearly been bowled over by [member="Lady Kay"] as she exited her office, only pausing for a brief moment to address him before telling him to follow along. Cassius pivoted on his right foot, completely turning around and falling in step with the Chancellor within a matter of moments. The Force worked in mysterious ways, it seemed, because right as he was coming to her door, she was deciding to go to Yutan, which meant she needed a pilot, a service Cassius could provide. He smiled ever so slightly – not at the prospect of going into battle, but that they were going to help those in need. It was almost inspiring, in a way.

That was, of course, if they didn’t get killed.

“I can only guess we’re taking the Free Lady,” Cassius referred to her personal transport. It would have been a bit cramped in the cockpit of his A-wing, after all. He was mildly familiar with the vessel – modified YT-1300, a popular model of Corellian freighter. With the modified hyperdrive, they’d be able to reach the Yutan in no time. Mentally, he went over a checklist of everything he felt he would need for the journey – his utility belt basically had everything he needed. He typically packed light, and he knew that if they were to meet up with the CSA fleet and he needed to switch roles into that of a starfighter pilot, he would be provided with a flight suit and ship.

The Free Lady was fueled, prepped, and ready for them as they boarded. The two guards manned the turrets while Cassius went to the cockpit. He sat in the pilot’s seat and immediately began doing the usual pre-flight checks, but did them with a bit of haste, as he knew that Lady Kay would want to get out there as soon as possible. Also, this was the personal transport of a head-of-state: the ship would be in pristine condition.

Within a few minutes, the YT-1300 lifted off of the landing pad and soared into the atmosphere. Cassius was already punching in the hyperspace coordinates for Yutan as they reached the inky blackness of outer space. With a simple push of the silver hyperspace handle, the hyperdrive made a high-pitched whine before the entire ship shot forward.

As the dazzling blue waves of hyperspace danced around the outside of the cockpit, Cassius sighed and let go of the controls. He looked over to Lady Kay, and glanced away for a moment, wondering if he should even ask. “Lady Kay… if I may be so bold,” although Cassius had gotten to know the woman over the past few weeks, he still wanted to treat her with the respect she deserved, “but… there’s a very real chance that this could escalate to war, isn’t there?”

What if Yutan was only the beginning? What if the Sith wanted to keep coming? Were they prepared for that?

Jairdain felt the anger within Yuroic and smiled slightly under her mask. He wouldn't be able to see it of course and she controlled her emotion indicating what she felt about his anger. A touch of anger rose at his words though.

"I am not guilty as you suggest. Also I never said the sith were fair. The Jedi aren't any more innocent either!"

He then said she didn't actually control the Force and that it still controlled her. While that wasn't fully true, she understood his view once having had it herself. She shook her head as a reply before speaking her thought on it.

"You're right, Yuroic. I don't control the Force, it flows through me and I can then use it. The Force isn't light or dark, I know this. It is the purpose the user that decides if it's light or dark. Right now, I feel like zapping you in the rear end."

With that statement, she pointed a finger in his direction and aimed a small shock at him. Not meant to harm or debilitate him in any way. Just a point to make in that his words angered her. Before she would have held it in and just taken the abuse. Not anymore. Instead of keeping her feelings locked away in a box, she let them flow freely, but she didn't allow them to control her.

"The control I mentioned had nothing to do with the Force, my love, but my emotions. You see I feel them and express them. Before I couldn't do that. When I was with my people and Jedi, I locked them away. Now they are free from their confining box. It is quite liberating."

In talking, two words went through her mouth she didn't even know she said. Even now, they didn't register in her mind.

"Some of them are."

[member="Yuroic Xeraic"]

Yuroic shook his head. Tell me. When did the Jedi kill people on a planet just because Sith once lived there? Actually, don't. You blindly blame the Jedi, someone has twisted your mind, perhaps you do not remember events as they actually happened. It was a throwaway comment, thinking out loud. It would make sense that she had been forced to remember events that were untrue, it would make her service to the Sith forgivable as she was not in control, someone was playing her.

Feeling the zap of electricity on his bottom, he stiffened. Waiting to see if this was an attack or something else. Letting out his held breath, he turned around. You never bottled your emotions away. I bottled them away, I was the one that would suppress their emotions then lose control. You kept them in check, ensuring that they never blinded you, but you did feel and you did express emotion. So the fact that you think you never did is laughable. We were in love, we still are as you just called me your love. You cannot be in love with someone without expressing your emotions.

Difference is, now they blind you. If anything, you are weaker and easier for someone to control, manipulate. Perhaps you are being manipulated right now. Yuroic stated the comment before walking back away from her.

Where were they then to stop this bombardment? Where were they when people died for no reason?

The flight down to Yutan was perilous to say the least, the Falleen had to duck, dive and dodge the turbolaser fire that endeavored to end his existence. The wreckage of ships that had once been trying to escape became obstacles that Vlarem was forced to weave through, his hands became wet from sweat as each move was tedious mentally more so than physically. Vlarem was anticipating where the next shot or obstacle would come from instead of simply reacting. Lavender eyes narrowing Vlarem pushed the starfighter just a bit harder and was finally able to break the atmosphere of Yutan. There were darkened portions of the starfighter where some turbolasers had come far too close for comfort, but thankfully the bombardments of the planet had halted for the time being.

Pulling the starfighter in for a soft landing Vlarem leapt from the cockpit his nose assaulted by a vile scent. The smell of flames, charred flesh, he could feel the echoes of the deaths that had taken place during the initial bombardment. There was no time to mourn the deaths of those that had been lost, no Vlarem had to carry on. More lives would be lost if he didn’t act now. The Sith had landed their troops on the planet and of course some of the Sith’s minions would be among them. They would never miss out on bloodshed, the perversion of the Sith turned Vlarem’s stomach but he set off into the forest of Yutan his green skin blending in with the green of the underbrush.

Moving slowly, Vlarem heard a nearby squad of troops. Squatting in the underbrush Vlarem simply looked onwards his Lavender eyes falling upon a red-haired individual, most likely human, but behind him was a small squad of troopers their rifles barrels pointed at the ground. Much like one that was the scion of a predator species Vlarem was more than up for the task of hunting the individuals. The jedi were meant to preserve life but in instances such as these Vlarem hoped the order would forgive him for what he was about to do. Rising slightly and entering a sprinters stance, fingers braced against the ground Vlarem kicked off. With the speed fitting a Falleen, Vlarem was upon the troops before they realized it. Snatching the barrel of the first trooper with his left crushgaunt, Vlarem crushed it within his grip rendering the weapon useless to the trooper. Leaning in while pulling on the rifle Vlarem brought his right elbow up to strike the bottom of the troopers’ chin dropping him to the ground unconscious. Still acting off sheer reflexes the Falleen spun on his heels flinging what remained of the rifle at another trooper catching him in the head and dropping him to the dirt.

Kay was glad to have [member="Cassius Droma"] agree to go with her. He was proving himself to being a valuable asset for both herself and for the vast array of worlds under her care. Given that he knew how to pilot a few different vessels was also a plus. He was quick to get to the cockpit and get things going and she didn't even have to relay the instructions of where they needed to be. All things that she kept in the back of her mind to reflect upon in the future.

As she headed up the ramp of her ship, her commlink came to life. She had a holocall to take. Kay excused herself and went into her own private quarters, closing the door as she answered it. [member="Virak Ip"] was displayed before her in that light blue glow. No matter if through holo or in person, the Zabrak had a certain presence about him. ~Senator Ip. Send the fleet there to Yutan, please. I'm on my way, as is Senator [member="Natalie LaForte"] . If the Yutani government is unable to protect it's people than we have to act. I'll deal with the consequences for it later. Hopefully the people will see the errors of what their government has chosen for them. I'll contact you when we arrive.~

As the Free Lady went into hyperspace, Kay was seated next to Cassius. While he'd glance at her, she kept her eyes glued to the lines of stars zooming past them. So many different thoughts running through her mind, so many different scenarios, all of them worrying her. But that was a leader's job, wasn't it? To worry and stress over what has happened and what has yet to come.

Cassius' question broke her from her thoughts. She looked at him and gave the slightest of nods. "It could...But I'm going to do my best to prevent that. Yet should I fail...well, then we'll be involved in a war for the first time in a long time. It'll surely be a test of our strength and resolve. 'Commenor Survives', that is our motto. Hopefully it'll still ring true."

"Revenge, justice..." He trailed off mid-sentence as a smile formed on his lips. "You really meant that question, didn't you Master Jedi. You have no idea what's going on, even under your nose." Krest laughed, his blue eyes hinting of danger and amusement. [member="Veiere Arenais"] kept in the dark by his darling wife. Oh, if only he knew. "My name is Krest. No Darth name, no Lord title. Just your average Sith doing what must be done. Well, and I'm the King of Iridonia and a long time ally of Commenor." The last bit was said almost as a joke, but not for the reasons many would think.

"Now, I'm not really one for talking. I've had this chamber emptied for the soul reason that you and I will discuss the terms of my surrender through action." Slowly the hobbled old man pushed himself up, shrugging off his cloak in the process. Numerous scars littered his otherwise sculpted chest. With his shoulders now squared and standing at his full height the facade of weakness was shattered. "Beat me, and I'll pull back my forces and discuss a treaty with your wife [member="Lady Kay"] . Loose, and I kill you and what happens next will no longer be of your concern. Are we in agreement?"

[member="Krest"], King of Iridonia and Ally of Commenor; though apparently not as the two stood before one another and Veiere's gaze took to the rest of the Hangar. He was correct, it had been cleared for the specific purpose of the two entering into combat, an unfortunate yet not unexpected wish from this Sith of no given title. "I suppose I'm to assume that were I to decline this request of yours, your attack upon Yutan and the People of the Systems Alliance would continue...", he didn't like the sound of entering into battle with Krest though it wasn't out of fear for his life so much as it was his distaste and general disapproval of violence altogether. Between them it made no sense to have to fight one another when there was nothing here to be proven between them. This 'Krest' was a mystery to Veiere, he knew little of the Zabrak beyond his appearance now and some association on part with [member="Lady Kay"]...

"If it's revenge you seek, you'll find little justification for your actions here I'm afraid. Yutan holds no threat to those outside of the Systems Alliance, the Jedi Order has neither been seated there for some few months now and the people you're laying siege to are bureaucrats and Civilians...-She is a peaceful world, outside of her political nature", Veiere hadn't exactly been encouraged by the government of Yutan over the recent year but that did not make the statement any less true. The Temple of Yutan had been emptied of his people for the co-operation between Kay and their government and representatives within the Senate. Veiere had made the decision without being asked to do so, following news of their discomfort with the Order since the days of the Galactic Republic.

"I've faced many Sith over the years, I take no pride in fighting your people...-You who are not so different from us. Were it not for your over-indulgence within the Force and generally aggressive nature, I would sooner have us co-operating; yet I cannot undo the wars that have been fought between our Orders over generations before today, nor will I encourage you to continue to bring harm to others where I might be able to deter you..." A sigh escaped him, brushing between barely parted lips, his right hand moved to take a hold of the lightsaber hilts joined together within the center by the coupling link, the staff for which he removed from his belt.

"Should your confidence fail you, know that I did not want this".

"I could tell you when Jedi have caused genocide against innocents, but you would just deny it."

Jairdain threw this back at Yuroic in defiance. He had said he really didn't want to know anyway, so the issue wasn't pressed.

"My memory is fine. The lies and deceptions were made clear. Perhaps, the same should be done for you?"

He turned to face her after her small shock. She wondered if he was going to retaliate it in some way, but he chose not to. Jairdain did not press her attack, instead she listened to what he had to say about their own emotions and how they were treated.

"But I did lock them away into a box that is no longer there, Yuroic. What I did then was know I had them and lock them away. The difference now is I use them. They are no long bound up like a hose with a kink in it, they are allowed to flow freely like that liquid in the hose. And I did no such thing."

If he could have seen her face, he would see it was set stubbornly and she crossed her arms. The emotion that could be felt was just that, her being stubborn.

"You say they blind me. No they don't, they have allowed me freedom to be me."

Shaking her head now at his words, "no, I am not being manipulated. That already happened."

Choosing to ignore his question about where sith were that would have tried to stop the bombardment. There wasn't anything that could have been done to do that.
