Common Glass. [TSE vs Commenor Yutan]

This is a skirmish meant for Sith Empire and Commenor writers to partake in and have fun. If you'd like to join as a third party, send myself or [member="Veiere Arenais"] a PM with you're intentions please.

Jedi were Jedi, no matter where they were or what they did. They were a scourge on the galaxy, and the ones on Yutan were not to be an exception. The might of the Sith Empire fleet dropped out of Hyperspace above the planet, it's impressive size meant to strike terror into all who looked to the sky this day. At the head of it all Krest stood on an observation deck, his blue eyes scanning the planet below.

"Commander, set the fleet loose. Orbital bombardments until there is nothing but rubble, then send the landing craft to finish the job."

"Sire, they have no ships in the region. They cannot stop our landing." Krest's second in command stood beside him, glazing over star maps. The Commenor fleet had pulled back from the region as it went independent, making it a prime target for an example. Krest slowly turned his head, his icy gaze staring at his close ally.

"The Galaxy has tolerated Jedi for far too long Commander. Yutan just had a conclave to unite all Jedi together. The planet will pay the price in blood. Begin the bombardment, wipe this planet from the Galaxy." The Commander took a step back, bowing his head. "Yes, my Lord."

Turbolasers streaked across the sky, bringing ruin to the planet below all under the watchful eye of the elder Sith Lord. Let this come as a warning to all who would host the Jedi. The Sith will not forgive.

Viktor was standing in his office in the Capital going over the various scenarios in his head to possibly keep his head above water with this whole CSA thing. There were simply too many things to account for. He had just settled in for the long hall when his door burst open. One of his aides came rushing huffing and buffing.

"Sir a combat fleet has just popped out of hyperspace in orbit."

Viktor sighed jumping to his feet and pushing them both towards the door. Heading for the situation room on the other side of the building.

"Put out a full alert I want everything we have scrambled and ready to take off immediately. Where is the Prime Minister?"

"Headed to the situation room."

Viktor nodded.

"Good get me a line to all of the commanders...................do we have confirmation on the original of the Fleet? Is it a CSA Fleet or somebody else?"

The man shook his head saying he didn't know just as they burst into the situation room. As soon as he did one of the analysts yelled.

"Sir we are taking fire from orbit."

Viktor closed his eyes and sighed just as the Prime Minister arrived.

"Give the planet wide evacuation order................."

Viktor glanced at the PM.

"..............so much for Democracy looks like the Alliance made good on their threats. I suggest you proceed to your exit Sir. If you die Yutan dies with you."

Much had been going on of late while Veiere's watch had been focused on the progress of The Jedi Order. His wife and the Queen of Commenor, [member="Lady Kay"] had met with him on several occasions now concerned for the future of the Senate within the CSA. With Yutan's recent bid for Independance as a free world, claiming that the Systems Alliance was truly an empire of tyrannical proportions, there fleet's had been pulled away and thus the protection around the world that had been offered before no longer remained.

While the Jedi Order had sought to make Yutan there home, against them the government of the former Republican heart had fought, not forcing but encouraging the Grand Master at the time to withdraw from the dream that was the re-establishment of the Yutani Temple to pursue the creation of the Providence, a praxeum vessel funded by Commenor itself so that they might seek to roam elsewhere and advance their studies and exploration of the known universe.

Alas, it would not take long before news would reach the Galaxy. An Invasion force coming down upon the World of Yutan within Commenor Systems Alliance space, wholly unchallenged with the lack of the governments presence around the world, a choice forced upon the Senate. Veiere Arenais, against his better judgement sought not to throw his Order amidst the chaos, the tides of battle too great to stand against their small numbers. He thus informed Lady Kay of what was going on, yet only after he had set off immediately for the world that had turned his people away.

She Left Behind A Legacy
The doors slide open for her after sensing her presence. She stood in the doorway to the bridge with her arms folded, "You weren't gonna go without me right?" She teased but she was aware of the stakes.

She proceeded walking forward to stand just a few feet behind her Master. Beyond working with him as almost equals now, she was still his apprentice nevertheless. Years removed from his tutelage, she made it very clear that she would remain loyal to him. A situation like this, she wouldn't allow him to go by himself...for reasons.

"Object all you wan't...you know I don't listen to you anyway." She glanced over at him, and it was true. She shrugged.

Part of her felt like this was her fault. She'd grown so consumed in her work that she failed to prevent these sort of circumstances. Things were hitting to close to him now, and quite obviously it was slightly worrying her. The current state of the Order wouldn't be able to withstand something like this; it would be delaying the inevitable.

She turned to look out the viewport, losing her focus to the stairs as she mentally prepared herself for what was to come.

Veryna's hands create a crushing grip around the harness lowered down over her torso shivering anxiously as turbulence takes hold of the drophip's frame with blue eyes eyes pursed shut tightly. Orlan Verik sits beside the nervous Trooper casually with his harness down and happily drinking some alcoholic substance from a leather bladder he kept as an heirloom from Coruscant his homeworld, he notes Veryna's anxiety and lowers the bladder from scarred lips and gently whops it against the young Trooper's shoulder. Veryna's gaze hesitantly looks to it and raises an eyebrow looking back to Orlan Verik in silence, rejecting it with a quick shake of head it was unlawful and against regulation. "Suit yourself, Rookie. Believe me it's better if you don't remember the things we're about to see. Turbolasers do nasty things to a planet's surface to say nothing of the poor sods caught in the Hellstrom." Orlan's lips crack into a sad smile before he turns his war marked face away from the young Trooper, gulping away at the remaining wine within the Bladder before corking it and tethering it back to his webbing.

Ryko moves down Derriphan's empty aisle using each seated Trooper's safety harness as a support, he halts at his Sister, Veryna's blue spheres meeting his helmet's black visor. "It can't be easy being drunk all the time." Ryko's visor conceals his toothy smug grin and earns Orlan's attention as the veteran Trooper slides helmet down over Nape, the sound of the Earth far beneath them buckling under the exploding weight of Turbolasers echoes throughout the hold. Veryna quickly checks to ensure her blaster contains a charge pack and breathes a sigh of relief after realising the weapon is indeed loaded, she'd learnt after Kol'huro. Orlan had mentioned modifying their blaster rifles to become repeaters on the condition she remembers to bring adequate charge packs and not stop to offer enemy combatants first aid, the latter would be difficult given her strong sense of morality especially given the conditions her imagination creates based on the rocking explosions heard from far beneath them.

Orlan takes Ryko's offered hand with a smirk, the Young Commissioned Officer and Veteran Trooper had developed a strong level of mutual respect after Kol'Huro; Ryko to Orlan for keeping his sister alive and Orlan to Ryko for his gutsy during the battle there. "If it were easy everybody would do it, Sir." This reply solicites a chuckle from Ryko who finally brings his attention to Veryna, the sister who he had so long tried to protect. But nothing could protect any of the new breed of Sith Trooper from what they were about to see destruction without peer. The tactics of Total War were finally being used by the Empire and Veryna expects to terrible effect on several innocents, but both twins would do their duty regardless of the considerations one would normally contemplate in the name of sentient dignity as Sith Imperial service often demands its soldiers remains steel-hearted against excessive compassion.

"Will we help any of the survivors, Sir?" Veryna asks, spheres looking hopeful to her brother that the answer might be 'yes'.

Sitting in the cargo area of the ship Vlarem head leaned forward, eyes closed the Falleen allowed his own thoughts to absorb him. This would be his first major engagement alongside the Jedi, the Falleen had spent so many years on the sidelines watching as the galaxy was embroiled in war, as civilizations were brought low and populations enslaved. Too long had he spent his time with his head in the ground ignoring what was happening. If he’d stepped up during the glory days of The Republic how much of a difference would he have made? It was impossible to say, a question that couldn’t be answered. Perhaps Vlarem could’ve aided in the destruction of the Sith so a day such as this wouldn’t come. Or he could’ve simply been another Jedi life lost in the constant conflicts. Inaction was just as bad as being the one dealing the killing blow.

When the news of what was happening to Yutan reached Vlarem it wasn’t a surprise. They always said the force worked in mysterious ways, it had been the hubris of Yutan’s leaders, their arrogance that had made them force the
Jedi off the world and now look. Once the Jedi were gone, even when the people of Yutan did not want them there they would return to provide aid. That’s what it meant to be Jedi, to provide aid to the galaxy, even those that despised you. Years ago when Vlarem had been absorbed in Falleen culture he would’ve been of the mind to let Yutan burn for their treachery, but now he felt nothing but pity. Hopefully on this day they would learn a valuable lesson.

Veiere had been the first to kick into action when the news of Commenor hit, forever the bleeding heart Veiere wished to provide aid and set off. The man was a strong rallying point whether he knew it or not, he was core of the Jedi. He was one of the few true beacons of light left in the galaxy. He hadn’t let himself become a militant Jedi like the others that pervaded the galaxy. It was what drew people to him. As such it should’ve been no surprise when there were a few Jedi that wished to join him in providing aid to Yutan. Vlarem was one of that number. The Falleen’s fingers twitched in anticipation of the coming battle. Drabbed from neck down in Asheran Armorweave, Vlarem appeared more like a spy than a jedi. With the Mandalorian Crushgaunts resting on his hand he was more than prepared for a fight if the need arose.

Rising to his feet Vlarem made his way from the cargo bay to the cockpit where he expected to find Veiere and of course Romi. Two of the Council members for The Jedi Order, with them how could they fail? If anything, they should at least be able to buy time for the people of Yutan to evacuate. The door to the cockpit slid open with a hiss and Vlarem stepped in now the tallest one in the cockpit and towering over the two Jedi. “How much longer?” Three words that was probably in the minds of everyone aboard the vessel. How much longer till they arrived at Yutan? How much longer could the Jedi do this song and dance with the Sith. How much longer would populations be destroyed. Too many questions but at this moment Vlarem was referring to their arrival at Yutan.

"I still don't know about how wise it was to not properly store the tanks," Virgil muttered as she twirled her bes'kad between her fingers, "After all, if one of those straps break, then its gonna be one tank crashing into another. We should have gone with the bolt down."

Ardgal glanced over at his cousin with a wry smirk, "But it will also take longer to deploy them."

"Ard, you need your head checked," the woman said flatly, "We are going to Commenor, not Pzob. Unless you plan on storming the capital, if that's the case, we should have done that before--"

"I'm not."

"Then what?"

The man tilted his head towards her T-slit visor, his face calm and calculating, "We have pulled out all major support from a rather wealthy planet on the galactic scale. Every day that this persists, there is a 20% exponential increase in the probability that it will attract unwanted attention."

"And when it does, we swoop in," Virgil shook her head, "You bajase ad be a yialeti'r."

"Damn Virgil do you kiss your mother with that mouth?" Ardgal sighed.

The comm on Ardgal's wrist buzzed with a bright red light. The man quickly flicked it open and smiled wrily, "Looks like the sleeper cell we left behind is picking up panic."

Virgil sheathed her knife, swinging herself upright with eagerness, "Hot damn, we going in now?"

Ardgal held up a finger, "You know the first rule of this job."

She sighed, "Always get the money first."

"Exactly."

"And if they say no?"

He gave a wicked smile, "[member="Darth Carnifex"] has a long standing and enjoyable relationship with the Mando'ade, does he not?"

As his cousin left to go give the order to revert to real space, Ardgal slid his helmet on and quickly established a secure commlink with the office of the senator [member="Viktor Alexander"], after going through the appropriate channels of course. The man was Ardgal Raxis. He had a standing contract with the CSA to arm and train their forces, he doubted that Yutan's planetary government would be unaware of who he was or what he owned.

"Senator," the man said in his stoic voice once he was in contact with the man, "This is Ardgal Raxis. I am sure you are aware of who I am, what I own and what I do. I just personally oversaw the removal of a sizable portion of CSA's defense over your planet. Unfortunately, you are not covered by our prior contract. However, you are welcome to our assistance in this hard time," he paused, "Provided you are willing to hire us. 4 million. Take it or leave it."

They say that bad things comes in threes. First the attack on her Senate Hall; followed by Yutan's rash decision to call her a tyrant, an Empress of an evil Empire that only wanted to oppress it's people; and now this..a message left by her husband [member="Veiere Arenais"] . Yutan was under attack by the Sith. Kay frowned as she stared at the message, reading it over and over. No doubt the Sith were watching, spying on them, and as soon as a weakness was shown, they used it to their advantage. Maybe there was something on Yutan that the Sith were looking for, she didn't know. But they needed more help than the Jedi could provide.

There was no time to gather everyone at the Senate. So instead she turned on her holo-communicator and contacted each of the Senators for an emergency meeting.

Each of them were contacted and those that answered were able to see one another's holo image. ~My fellow Senators. Yutan is under attack by the Sith. I know that they had stated that they want nothing to do with us, but will we be so petty as to let their innocent die because of their government's actions? Or would we help them? The Jedi are going, my husband is on his way. I suggest that we send some ships to help, if not just to provide orbital defence on the edge of their space, maybe draw some of the attackers away. But what say the rest of you? If you are wanting to act we must do so quickly.~

If they didn't want to help, she had a back up plan. It was always best to have a back up plan.

Yutan is not the place I would have liked to stay.

After getting this fething ghost in my head all that while ago, I had been having problems keeping myself sane. Looking for any way to get this voice out of my head. Literally anything. I had gone to shrinks. They tried to give me pills, but after slaughtering them, I wasn't getting any more calls. I tried people who "had the gift of foresight" and crap like that.

Lets just say that there are less liars and thieves in the galaxy now. Even as I did this, I needed a place to be. One place that was away from the Sith, but just under the noses of many. Hiding in plain sight if you will. Running on the treadmill in the apartment that I was in, The constant thump thump of my sneakers hitting the rubber ground that moved beneath me, I tried to keep myself in good physical shape. One of the only "normal" ways I could do so without drawing attention to myself.

I continued to run when I heard a ringing in the other room. Someone decided to contact me about something. I had no clue what. Turning off the machine, Slowing my pace to a jog, I grabbed the waterbottle and took a swig from it as I walked into the other room. Drinking as I answered the message, I heard one of my men very nervously proclaim,

"Uh, we have identified Sith Empire vessels that entered the system. What should we do?"
"What do you think you should do?"
"Um... sir?"
"Hail them. I wanna speak to whoever it is."
"Working on it Sir!"
"Shut the hell up."

Taking my pants and shirt off as I spoke to the man, I went and got changed into my gear. Rather simple armor. Light and kind of exposing, but I tightened the straps and sheathed my sword on my belt. I was not looking forward to this. Walking to the center room, I went over to the communications center that was set up, and activated it.

"Patch me to them."
"Yes s-"
"Don't call me Sir."
"Yes si- I mean, sorry s-. They are ready for you."
"Transmit."

Just pick up the damned phone you Sith. I kind of wanted to find out why they were attacking this planet. As well as if they needed my services or not. You never know.

The holo broadcaster flickered on and Natalie grinned.

"Viktor's confidence was his undoing. Alas, I'll assist personally under the assumption that this will bring the rebell-.. people of Yutan back in line."

Thank the Lord that Natalie had changed her appearance so much that she would be almost unrecognizable to Sith, being a former one. Not that she had abandoned the ideology of self-preservation completely, but she could at least tolerate being around Jedi and not call for crusades against innocent individuals. Also having started using her birth name over her alias that she called herself as a teenager, there was no real reason for them to suspect she had 'converted'.

But if she ever wanted to officially distance herself, she had to face her fears head on, even if that was behind a blonde hair dye and wearing different clothes.

"Are we meeting somewhere to discuss this?"

At the request of Krest, Jairdain was present among the troops, agents and people that were ready to be deployed to the surface of Yutan. Her sole purpose and goal was the manipulation of the troops of Yutan and their allies. Since her turn from the Jedi, she had been focusing on enhancing her already formidable mental abilities. While being on the ground was not going to optimal, her Force Sense told her she needed to be there.

So now she stood in her gear and mask on. The blind, young woman did not need the eye slits to see out of and used the Force to see naturally. Her once green lightsaber, now red was clipped to her side. Waiting for the transport to open, she looked around at the people near her. Her own preparations were done, many of these men and women were finishing up getting ready.

When the word came to board their shuttles and transports down, Jairdain climbed on board hers and sat down. There was no robot with her today and she went down alone.

Yuroic had been at the Jedi Temple on Yutan when the bombardment began. Having no ties to Commenor or the Jedi Order that was close with the Commenor, the Yutani people were not able to resent his presence. However, they still were not happy that he was on the planet. Something about being a Jedi put these people on edge. This meant that Yuroic remained deep within the Temple, avoiding being outside, which was lucky for him in some ways.

The bombardment caused the planet to shake hard, as if several earthquakes were happening at once. While he had never been in an orbital bombardment before, he had read the signs of one and seen the damage it could cause. Yuroic jumped into action, yelling that all civilians ran into the catacombs to be safe. He hoped that the Temple could survive this but feared that they could be trapped within it for awhile if the lasers continued to rain down on them

Yuroic sensed a familiar Force Aura, someone he was once close with, in love with was heading here. Steeling himself, he knew that this would be a dangerous fight, even without the bombardment. Guiding the last few civilians into shelter in the catacombs, Yuroic sealed the doorway and attempted to block it from enemies locating them, better to not have hostages to worry about during this raid. He looked around to see if there were any other Jedi or friendlies in the Temple with him.

The rumours of a potential Jedi Conclave had reached the ears of the Dagobah Sith, upon which her crusade to rid the galaxy of the Jedi once and for all decided that her return from the self-imposed exile would begin on Yutan. Her hatred for the Order ran deep, deeper than anyone could fathom. Her previous attempts had been easily thwarted, led by a reckless swamp girl who overreached her own abilities. She was no longer a young girl, rather an aging woman of maturity who had learned more about herself in the time away from society. She knew what she could do, what she couldn't do. She learned from her previous mistakes, taking these hard lessons in stride. Darth Venefica swapped her reckless nature for one of patience, planning and plotting ahead over attempting to strike the Jedi in one blow. What could be learned on Yutan would prompt a more clearer view of what she needed to do to accomplish her goals.
"Lady Venefica, the fleet has begun their orbital bombardment. Shall we join them?"
The absence of an opposing fleet didn't settle well in the Sith's mind. If this planet was hosting Jedi, why was there no fleet to protect it? Had the Jedi fled already, leaving the citizens at the mercy of the Sith Empire? Or was this some ruse to draw the Empire's war vessels to conduct their attack, while an opposing fleet waited and calculated their time to reveal themselves, catching the Empire offguard?
"No. Something is amiss, I think. We will not engage in the orbital strike rather we shall hold our position and patrol the area. Dispatch the scouts with orders to report in every five minutes."
"Yes, Lady Venefica. Shall I have a transport shuttle prepared for your departure to the surface immediately?"
This was a test she waited for. A younger, more reckless version of herself would have jumped at the opportunity to reach the surface first to hunt down these Jedi. It was the patient Sith that stood here on the bridge now waiting to see how future events would unfold.
"No. Not yet, Admiral."

Lark leisurely lounged inside a small room aboard a ship in the Sith Empire fleet, absently listened to the distant sounds of the orbital bombardments. Right outside his room soldiers ran back and forth making final preparations for the conflict that would soon begin, shouting orders and details on how the operation was going, what targets had been hit and whatnot. The crusades between the Jedi and Sith had been ongoing for what seemed an inconceivable length of time, and Lark vaguely pondered on whether or not the constant war was, like death and the endless flow of time, something that was simply bound to happen, a perpetual fact of the galaxy. Both sides had been on the verge of extinction before, and yet they never stayed down for long, always finding a way to creep back into the spotlight.

But Lark had rejected death before, he should have died years ago along with his home. And in his time studying in Sith libraries he had learned of ways one could achieve states of agelessness. If he could escape death and sidestep the effects of time, he could bring an end to the Jedi.

With a hop in his step, Lark left to seek out his Master, Krest. He knew he'd probably be joining the ground troops once the bombardment concluded, but Krest doubtless had a good view of the assualt and Lark wanted to see. After passing by well-organized squads preparing for deployment, rushing towards their landing crafts, he finally found his way towards the deck where his Master stood. Careful not to get in the way, Lark gazed out an observation window, watching the planet slowly be torn apart by heavy laser fire. He placed his pale hand onto the window, marveling in the chaos that was caused.

In time, such power will be mine. With energy overflowing, Lark bounced on his toes, his normal tranquil, angel-like demeanor was nowhere to be found. He hoped the ground squads would soon be deployed. He was feeling murderous.

Against his hopes, the Jedi Master soon found himself within the cockpit of the corvette in company of two of his fellow Jedi. [member="Romi Jade"] for which was his former apprentice and now the second of the Jedi Council Members; thank the Force that [member="Kahne Porte"] had strayed afar from this flight fatal of fancy. Veiere's decision to come before the brunt of the invasion Force was not an action many would have deemed one of sound mind but the deterrence of a peoples having earned none of the coming cataclysm this armada was to unleash upon the world of Yutan. In this act of faith, he had not planned ahead nor come with the belief that the Sith would simply let him leave with his life in tact. Now with not only Knight Jade but so too the hulk of a Padawan, [member="Vlarem"] having stepped into the light of their situation, Veiere turned in the pilots seat to stare back at them in dismay. Sudden concern crossing over him, not the stoic and emotionless visage of a statue carved in stone that many expected them to be, there was a look of fear in his eyes for what these two might face beside him, compassion and quickly appearing remorse not having known that he had led them directly into the den of wolves and witchcraft.

"Neither of you should have come..." He spoke swiftly, his breath lost upon his words made in haste for the surprise that they'd brought upon him. His brows furrowed, staring back at them in frustration and yet not having the will to blame them for their decisions where he was making the exact same sacrifice. "I have no intention of landing planet-side..." He slowly resigned himself to turning back to look ahead of the craft, the fleet of Sith vessels gradually becoming larger as they entered communications range. They were in too deep for Veiere to pull them out now; even if he were to land the ship and instruct his peers to leave him there, the Sith would not allow the vessel to simply escape their grasp...

"This is Veiere Arenais, Grand Master of the Jedi Order..."
His eyes closed a moment, frowning in distaste of the title. He had done away with it some time ago yet before the knowledge of the Sith Empire, such a title would no doubt gain their undivided attention and hear him out for the request he sought to make. If they would be allowed to board the leading war ship, then perhaps there would be a chance still for the citizens of Yutan.

"Hailing the Approaching Vessel. I am on an intercept path to your stern. Requesting Permission to board immediately....-Recieve me, so that we might negotiate terms of compromise in person. I offer you no deceit, no lies. Simply an opportunity that we might forgo this needless violence. Respond...".

So far only [member="Natalie LaForte"] answered her call. Where were the other Senators? [member="Corey Brave"] was usually the first to arrive anywhere. [member="Jorhan Stahl"] tended to be quick on his heels. [member="Virak Ip"] , he tended to be silent, but surely not through this.

Regardless, she raised a brow slightly at Senator LaForte's slip of the tongue. She had been doing that a lot lately. ~There's no time, especially as no one else has answered this call yet but you. I can't imagine that anyone would get to the meeting in a hurry.~ Kay clenched her jaw. ~We can't go into Yutani space without permission, but holding our fleets just outside of it in case they call us for aid should be okay. What do you think?~

She worried about [member="Veiere Arenais"] going in there. Who knows what Sith he'd face. Yet if the situation were reversed, he'd be just as worried about her. And she couldn't head off there into danger. Too many would tell her off for it if she was caught, or stop her from even going altogether. But she hated just sitting here and not doing anything. Yet acting on her own wasn't the proper choice of action either. She had to be an example and respect the rules that she put in place. She wasn't above the law. No one was.

[member="Lark"] would find not a single hint of amusement shown on Krest's face, nor the usual hunched demeanor he had clung to for so long. Instead the Lord stood tall, his eyes never wavering from the destruction he had ordered. He took no pleasure in the streaks of green slamming into the once green planet of Yutan. But as the one who brought death he would be a witness.

The Commander stepped up beside Krest, bowing his head low. "My Lord, there is no resistance. Those who survived the initial assault have taken to their ships to flee the system." He was reluctant to pass on the news of fleeing ships to the Sith Lord, knowing full well that they were all civilians. He thought he knew what was to happen next, but what came out of Krest's mouth next was a welcome surprise.

"Send down the ground forces Commander and round up all ships trying to flee the system. Target them with Ion if they try to flee and board those who don't. There should be no resistance now. No harm will come to any more civilians, provided they tell use where their leaders are. I want [member="Viktor Alexander"] and all his accomplices brought to me for judgement." The Commander stumbled through his salute to the Lord and hurriedly began to bark orders to cease the bombardment and send down the landing troops.

"You will act as my Hand [member="Lark"] . Go make sure there are no more Jedi on this wretched planet, and kill any who stand in the way of your hunt." As he finished speaking the transmission from [member="Veiere Arenais"] went through to a nearby com station. Before the technician at the terminal could act Krest was there, casually lifting up the com.

"Master Veiere, unexpected. You realize I'm here to kill your kind left on Yutan and punish the people for your trespasses, correct?" It was a taunting question, but as he spoke he nodded to the technician to send the landing procedures. "You are welcome aboard my ship Grandmaster. I respect your desire to keep this as non violent as possible. But I hope you realize there is a chance you will not make it back off. Out of my respect I give you the option to turn back. Which shall it be?"

"You really think that they would turn down our help now? If you can get me somewhere safe then I can attempt to make contact with whoever these hostile forces are. I'm quite the diplomatic person, as I'm sure you know. Also if I may make a suggestion.. you should start punishing the individuals who refuse to answer your calls. You are Queen after all" giggling as she continued.

"I'll be enroute to borders of the Yutan system, where I presume you are? As of right now the best we can do is attempt to escort any civilians out of that place. These Sith don't seem to particularly care about spare casualities when there's any Jedi near them -- trust me, I would know. Granted, I'm at least reformed now. For those in orbit, I would say otherwise."

"Regardless, enough chit chat for now. Tell your goons not to blast a suspicious vessel coming near you, because it's likely got your favourite Senator in it."

The word was given to deploy the ground troops and Jairdain took her spot on the transport provided. Keeping to herself, she started to prepare her mind for what she was about to attempt. Before when she had done battle, she had been allowed to stay out of direct combat. This time that could not be arranged and she would be alone on the ground.

Below her, she felt the people die and the jedi that was still buried inside her cried out. Unknown to even her tears fell from her eyes at the destruction.

Without having to avoid conflict, the trip down to the planet went smooth and the now sith knight was as prepared as she going to be. The ship set down and the others left before she did.

A gust of wind blew through the now empty ship and her cloak billowed out behind her. It revealed the black outfit she had acquired in her time on Bastion. Her lightsaber was the same she had constructed, but the blade was now a crimson color. That was clipped to her belt and would be used if needed to defend herself.

Even though she was sith, she still was not a fighter. Knowing how to use the saber more now though could do nothing but make her a more formidable opponent should anybody chose to fight her.

Reaching out with her senses, Jairdain knew her former lover was here. If she knew him, then he would come searching for her. Striking off in his direction, she instead sought him out.

Viktor turned as the message from [member="Ardgal Raxis"] came across the line. Viktor listened to it and practically sneered at it's content.

"Record it, send a copy to my person unit, and then send no response."

The people looked wide eyed at Viktor a few beginning to object. Viktor took a breath and looked around the room.

"Only one person can order the removal and return of Commenor military resources. Unlike us they are a Monarchy. Now this Raxis whomever he may be could have possibly overseen the withdrawal but he does not have the authority to order their return. This is a clear cut case of a war profiteer using the dead to take advantage of the living. With our long range communications destroyed in the initial barrage we have no way of verifying who this man is or if he can even do what he claims. That money will be needed by the survivors to rebuild and resettle if we survive this day."

Viktor turned as another yelled at him from their station.

"Sir the Prime Minister is down.........the Prime Minister is down. His shuttle was hit by the incoming fire from orbit."

There was a brief pause before another shouted.

"Sir we are picking up what looks like landing craft dropping through orbit."

Viktor slammed a closed fist on the desk and cursed shaking with anger for a minute before he spoke.

"A sweeper team no doubt coming to finish us off. If only the Empress had been as ruthless defending her own people as she is murdering ours we would not be in this mess to begin with. Initiate a planet wide broadcast on all frequencies emergency and standard."

Viktor paused letting everything flicker to life before he began his voice and through mediums that would allow his image breaking through the Chaos.

"People of Yutan. We find ourselves on the brink of extinction. Our beloved Prime Minister as been killed. His shuttle shot down by the orbital fire from the same people still trying to destroy us. Know this in our darkest hour that I Viktor Alexander Minister of Defense will fight with and for you to the very last breath and the very last drop of blood in my body.

To the Commenori Queen and Empress of her glorious new Empire I say this. We sought only peace and freedom in response to that peace you ordered the Mass Genocide of our people. While I may die this day know this as long as a single Yutani soul lives your treachery will not be forgotten. The people of Yutan will never forget and the people will never forgive. If I die today I die a patriot and a defender of MY people with my only crime being wanting a better life for them than they had.

To the invading forces in orbit and currently making their way to the surface. I don't know who you are or what lies brought you to murder my people but I will meet you on the field of battle and if I fall with my people than I fall without regret and without remorse."

Viktor then had the line cut looking to everyone in the room pulling his side arm from it's holster.

"I will not order you to fight. Each and everyone of you is free to make your own decision escape and help rebuild our people or stay here and mostly likely die. I will go out and meet our foe. It as been an honor and a privilege to serve with you."
