Saram cast a quick glance at the blade, almost as if Jasper's words painted it a new light. "...Y-yeah. I mean, we love it, but shab if I know what makes it really tick. You should talk to my ori-alo-boss, he's the one who probably knows more about how they function," she said, stumbling over the words for a moment before she found the right ones, in both Basic and Mando'a. Even though Shuklaar was her ori'vod, he was first and foremost her boss, her alor. Especially as the de-facto head of the clans of Breshig.

She glanced at the results of her knife strike. A quick analysis from both her and the systems in her beskar'gam told her that it wasn't critical, he would recover, and being a Jedi probably pretty quickly too. For the briefest fraction of a second before she knew better she was worried that she'd actually hurt him badly.

"You know... you're starting to remind me how stupid I am for not wearing armor," Jasper noted as Saram stepped back and assumed a defensive stance. "But I feel like I can't ever find anything that doesn't restrict my movement."

"Need something like the ones the company makes, then," she said, matter of fact. "I try not to leave home without it," she quicky added as she saw him struggling under the weight of her blow and for a moment almost reared her hand back for another strike. That was of course when she saw him coil his muscles. She knew from years of training and experience what that meant, and it helped that the 'Manda' battlenet's predictive confirmed her suspicions.

Blocking the heavy blow one-handed was difficult to say the least. Let alone one-handed. Her blade was pushed closer and closer to her buy'ce before she managed to stabilize it with her off-hand. "Osik," she let slip as she blink-clicked her jetboots for a micro-second's worth of thrust to augment the force of her attempt to clear some space between the two of them that manifested as an attempted armored kneepad to Jasper's stomach area.

"Need something like the ones the company makes, then,"

"Oh?"

Jasper heard the thrusters in the Mandalorian's jet boots fire off, and for a moment time seemed to slow. A split second decision on what to do as he watched the armored knee-pad fly towards his stomach. A smile spread across his face as he made his decision. The Jedi Master used Soft to Solid to reinforce his stomach and accepted the hit. While his skin had become reinforced, the pain was not something that could be stopped. He could only lessen the impact. Damage was something he could take, though...

If it meant getting an edge.

Rather than reel back, Jasper dropped his lighsabers and let them clatter to the ground. With both hands he would swiftly move to grapple her leg and keep her from moving back. If he was successful, he was going to simply start spinning and swinging her around.

Saram tapped her upper arm where the plating was sparse enough for him to see the sheathe that covered the undersuit. "CNT muscle fiber undersuit," she started, cutting herself off as her knee impacted against something hard when it should have impacted soft. She would have sworn that the armor's voidstone lining would have at least seen her through this? Hardly the only plan she had in store. She was about to enact one of her plans when he suddenly lunged for her legs. A suck, well-timed jump almost saw her through this. Almost. His grasp closed around her feet. At that point only only one idea came to her mind, so without thinking too much about it, she blink-clicked the controls for her rocket-repulsor pack, sending them both rocketing into the air, presuming he was still hold on of course.

She performed a barrel-roll, attempting to throw him off with centrifugal force alone before thinking better of that plan and attempting to remove his cybernetic's grasp on her at the wrist with a downward one-handed slice. "Send me the bill," she apologized without checking to see if she had done any damage, instead opting to continue acrobatic maneuvers in an attempt to throw the poor Jetii off. He could slow his fall, right? She had never caught someone before, she she hoped she didn't shab that up if she had to. She doubted Braze Braze would forgive her if something happened. Shab, when did she start caring about the opinion Jetii so much?

Jasper's eyes widened as he suddenly found himself thrust into the air. Of course, his hands were latched on tightly as his legs flailed behind him in a sight that was rather comical. When the spinning began, Jasper seemed to paradoxically tighten his grip. The proximity to the void stone lining, however, was starting to take it's tole. Already he could feel the dampening of his senses. When Saram swung at his mechanical arm, he obliged and let go for a moment. His organic hand, though, stayed firmly planted, holding on by sheer determination and a prayer as he flapped around like a flag. A stupid grin was planted on his face.

"No bill necessary!" Jasper shouted up. "Make half my stuff out of junk I thought was cool! Probably worth more sentimentally than monetarily!"

And you certainly couldn't put a price tag on a good fight.

After a moment of being ragdolled around, Jasper resolved himself to do something himself. Steeling himself, he wrenched his prosthetic hand back up and clasped onto Saram's leg. Then he sucked in his core and began to try and swing his body with all of his might. If she was going to try to throw him off, he was going to totally upset her balance before he went down.

"It's... nice to see you to," . "Even if you can't act your age."

"Would you help me get this gentleman to the medical wing?"

"I can act my age... " Braze offered in a faint murmur in reply not really wanting to raise the argument aloud.

"I suppose... I could do that, " Braze chirped before reaching out a hand and moving to levitate Bells up. " Lead the way. " He encouraged presuming Loomi would get the doors for them. He had a few words he wanted to have with her but this didn't seem like the place for it.

Loomi nodded and moved to get the door, opening it with a simple wave of her hand. She turned back to Braze as he levitated the man up and towards the exit. Her antennae twitched as she thought for a moment.

"Who is he?" Loomi asked of her Echani companion. "I... suppose I've been gone long enough to have missed a few of the new faces."

For good reason. Her training had demanded such a thing. She wanted to be the best she could to offer her skills to the people she cared about.

Though she was very excited to be back. That feeling all but swirled around her in the Force.

"One of my wayward students, if you can believe it," Braze said softly. "I have two younglings looking up to me now… which is strange, because they're so close to me in age. I don't think they really see me as an authority figure, but I'm trying my best, all things considered."
He glanced down at Beltor "Bell" Cyrus Beltor "Bell" Cyrus as they walked.

"One of them has been making strides toward learning Basic. The other… well, he seems to have a heavy weight on his shoulders. Sins of the father, you know?"
he asked gently. "And then there's this old fellow I hired, a historian type, very passionate about old records and lost things. He's been helping me clean, restore, and archive some of the old tech I've gathered from abandoned temples."

His mouth pressed into a thin, troubled line.

"He just activated a holocron by mistake."

"He just activated a holocron by mistake."

"You say that like the material on the holocron was... concerning," Loomi remarked with a frown.

After a moment of leading Braze down the hall she turned back over her shoulder with a warm smile. There were other times they could worry about such matters. Right now simply being in the same place again was all she wanted to focus on.

"How about you tell me about all of that later," she decided. "I think I'm due for a little time to catch up to speed, yeah?"

Beltor Cyrus

The drop on to the bed seemingly woke something up in the old man, as with in a moment he snapped up, a wild look in his eye and fists balled.

It only took a moment for his temper to, well, temper it self, and he sat up properly in bed. Looking between Braze Braze and Loomi Loomi . He blinked, blinked again, then spoke to his mentor. "You silver haired mynock, did you hit me in the jewels?" He wasn't angry, actually there was a bit of pride in the underhanded tactic. He had thought braze was to high and mighty for such bar room brawl style moves.

"Well, if you're gonna leave it up to me..."

Loomi would reach over and take Braze's hand before tugging him along with her in a playful manner, letting out a snicker.

"I think we can take a trip to the kitchen on the Mud Duck," she decided. "I've hardly had anything to eat-"

Loomi turned back and offered a more composed expression, slipping back into Jedi Knight mode.

"Ah, you're awake. Very good," the Godoan reacted, taking a moment to smooth out her skirt. "I hope your back is alright. I did my best to prop you up off the floor to minimize any damage in your..." she paused to give Braze a judgemental glare, "...unconscious state. I only hope Master Kai'el and Miss Saram fair better..."

The young woman let out an exhale thinking about it. Jasper Kai'el Jasper Kai'el was her superior, and Saram Kote Saram Kote was a visitor. She certainly couldn't talk reason to them. She could really only hope they didn't hurt themselves too bad.

"Golly, where are my manners," Loomi spoke again after her momentary pause. "Jedi Knight Loomi Reyallus Atelle, but just Loomi is fine by me. It's a pleasure to meet you. Even if the circumstances are... bizarre."

Ohhh… he liked the idea of making something nice with Loomi-kins.

He stayed hushed while she spoke to Bells as he woke, only offering her a faultless, guiltless, innocent little smile when she looked at him.

"Lessons to be learned, yes?" was all he said, glancing back to Beltor.

"Sorry for that. You're welcome to rejoin them, if you want, or you can stay here and recuperate… If you will pardon me, my lady friend is quite famished, and I intend to remedy that. It would be incredibly rude of me to make her wait."

He offered his hand to Loomi.

"Shall we, my lady?"

He leveled a look on him. Something between a smirk and a knowing glare. "I'll make sure to regale your lady friend on the nature of that squeak you let out when physics took it's course and I pinned you to the mat, dear mentor. Perhaps during our next trading of lectures I'll review the basics of such physics to you."

He snorted, leaning back on the bed with his head between his hands. "Kindly clean up the kitchen when your done. We do share these temple facilities you know."

Finally, he leveled a more roguish smile at Loomi Loomi . "Twas a pleasure meeting you, Miss. Please take care that nothing large happens to fall on my master."

"It will be no trouble at all," Loomi assured.

She would take Braze's hand, but it was Loomi who would take the lead. After a polite dip of her head to Bell, she would be the one to lead Braze off towards the Mud Duck. The temple facilities were fine, but she wanted to use the kitchen that was a bit further from prying eyes. So off they went...

"No bill necessary!" Jasper shouted up. "Make half my stuff out of junk I thought was cool! Probably worth more sentimentally than monetarily!"

"Oh. Well, shab, send me materials cost at least," she managed to get out before swinging her Beskad at his arm in a downward one-handed strike in another attempt to sever his cybernetic arm. The sudden shift of center of gravity did make her flight path more than a little unstable before the flight computer managed to correct her flight. That was when another idea hit her, she quickly blink-clicked for her K-02M Kal boot blades from their housings.

Of course, she could just cut thruster output and fall to the ground, a fall from this distance with her boots wasn't going to hurt her. That was a final measure she would keep in reserve if nothing else worked. For a moment, she wished she had the newer model of combat boots. That was when she remembered her armor's field disruptor and flicked it on, hoping that while her beskar'gam's shields went offline, the energy field it generated also deliver a painful discharge to him.

She quickly holstered her Beskad, evidently it was not doing too much, might be time to switch things up once more. A quick blink-click sent her two K-03 Kal knives into her empty hand. She held them for a moment as she acquired a targeting lock on Jasper for the blades' repulsor-assisted throwing and recovery system. Now she just needed a spare moment to think and re-orient to her new plan of attack.

Valor the Forsaken Valor the Forsaken
as Novacs blade was blocked he moved back and down bit "well being realistic is learning in a way." Novac noticed that Valor was trying not to get distracted by jasper and saram in the air as he gently swong his saber at novac.

Novac couldn't help but think it was a bit odd how easy and light valor was going on him.

As novac blocked the strike by switching his saber from his left hands to his right he attempted to grab valors ankle with the end of his tail to knock him onto the ground.

Jasper let out an exhale as he saw the flurry coming at him. He smiled for a moment, then simply decided to let go to avoid all of the hell coming at him. It was a good distance that he fell down, but Jedi were easily comparable to cats in a way. They had ways of landing on their feet. Or, at least, landing with some form of grace. The Jedi Master tucked and rolled as he hit the ground to disperse the impact of the landing, which he at least had some experience in. There was no sense in drawing things out.

"I yield!" he called up with a laugh. "No sense staying up there!"

The Jedi Master began to gather up his fallen lightsabers and put them away, offering a shrug. This wasn't a life or death battle, at least. He knew when to tap out.

"Think I bit off more than I could chew," he admitted, not with any shame. "Guess I can't resist an uphill climb. But hey, that armor is your culture, yeah? Can't ask you to part with that."

He stepped over to where he had dropped the plating of his prosthetic hand and scooped it up, tucking it back into his pocket. There was an ease at which he did so, as though he had already made this same repair many times. That tended to happen when you had a history of being reckless.

"So, how'd I do?" the Jedi asked. "Got any pointers?"

The Jedi Master tucked and rolled as he hit the ground to disperse the impact of the landing, which he at least had some experience in.

The sudden release of weight was evident. The controls struggled less, fought her less. Her HUD no longer screamed at her that she was fast approach the max carry weight limit of its flight systems. Maybe it was neural feedback, but she could help but let out a barely conscious sigh of relief. She looked down just in tome to catch his roll, as graceful as a Strill's. A part of her couldn't help but be impressed.

"I yield!" he called up with a laugh. "No sense staying up there!"

She would be lying if she said that she wasn't grinning like a little girl underneath her buy'ce. It had been a while since she'd done single combat against a Jetii, let alone a Jetii Master like Jasper. Saram cut the rocket thrust from her pack, dropping her to the ground on repulsors alone, as lightly and as gracefully. She did a quick medical scan of Jasper to make sure than nothing in their exchange had done any permanent damage.

"Think I bit off more than I could chew," he admitted, not with any shame. "Guess I can't resist an uphill climb. But hey, that armor is your culture, yeah? Can't ask you to part with that."

"No shame in knowing when to quit," she said quickly. "I really do appreciate it," she added, slipping her helmet off and mag-clamping it to her belt before extending her hand in a handshake. She wasn't expecting a traditional Mandalorian handshake in return but given how much Jasper seemed to know already, she wouldn't be too surprised. "Plus, it would've taken a while," she joked in addition.

"So, how'd I do?" the Jedi asked. "Got any pointers?"

"Kept me guessing," she offered honestly without missing a beat. "Pointers? Uh...well, good thing you closed range like you did, but watch out for electric defense grids and similar tech. A lot of us have that kinda thing in our armor. You seem to have the picture."

Jasper would return a firm handshake, sure to clasp the forearm in the way her people did it. He had done it once before with a Mandalorian who served alongside the GA against the Maw. He offered a smile before pulling back.

"Just opportunity to prepare for things I hadn't considered," Jasper assured. "Loss in the present is victory in the future as long as you learn."

The man would nod as Saram offered some suggestions, things he had himself started to consider coming up against her tech.

"Tutaminis was a very temporary solution," he noted. "It softened the blow, but I doubt I'm strong enough to redirect that much energy. And in the range of a Ysalamiri you may as well forget it. I have thought about doing a little alloy creation of my own, been getting into the weeds of the atomic process. If you could take the energy absorption of Ultrachrome and mixed it with a more resilient metal like Song Steel, perhaps you could make something that has a far higher energy capacity when it tempers. Might be good for replicating one of your crushgaunts-"

After a moment he paused and let out a laugh.

"Ah, sorry. Slipped into rambling again."
