Faction Codes and Convictions | LS & TJO

The CORE has fallen. Darkness spreads across the galaxy as the GALACTIC EMPIRE tightens its grip on key worlds to fuel its Imperial war machine. From Atrisia, a call for unity is sent to THE JEDI ORDER from their LIGHTSWORN brethren: HOPE never dies. Together, we are the LIGHT that snuffs the darkness.

The Jedi Order has transformed alongside the High Republic, claiming its place amongst the stars. With that growth, they have welcomed many into their wings - enclaves, distant temples, kindred orders - with a shared purpose under a single banner. Amongst those who refused the call are the Lightsworn, an order born from fragments of the New Jedi Order. They chose isolation willingly, even calling for persecution of those who had committed sins against the light.

Now, as shadows rise across the Core and Empires grow, and the galactic underbelly surges like moths to the flame, the Lightsworn accepts the hand offered following a successful first contact. Hope is rekindled, and the two orders seek to find common ground to face this reckoning…

Objective I: Ties That Bind
BHj7K1e.png
Leadership of the Lightsworn arrives on Naboo to begin negotiations with the Jedi Order, with the hope of forging an unbreakable alliance. The task will not be an easy one, however, as members from both sides have questions demanding answers. The Lightsworn’s reputation precedes them. Militant crusader is the lightest of adjectives - more colorful, claim them to be radicals, bloodthirsty, and traitors to the code and the New Jedi Order. There is some truth to these claims. In the eyes of the Lightsworn, the Sith are the Jedi’s priority, and their eradication. Some Sworn members claim the Jedi Order has not done enough to extinguish the darkness. Speak your truths, and may the force guide you.

Objective II: Into The Breach
BHj7K1e.png
Despite a lack of a formal accord, the Midnight Council on Atrisia proved the Lightsworn and Jedi Order willing to work together in matters of restoring peace to the core. The Jedi Order maintains an enclave on Chandrila, a planet recently lost to the Galactic Empire, which faces severe scrutiny due to its history of rebellion. Strike teams deploy from the mountains in a two-prong approach to help refugees escape Hanna City en masse. On one side, shuttles land, ready to collect citizens fleeing their homes, protected by Jedi. On the other hand, an intense attack is launched on Hanna City Spaceport to distract and bring down craft that would hinder evacuation efforts.

Objective III: Common Ground
BHj7K1e.png
The Jedi Order has offered up an open invitation to both Shiraya’s Sanctuary and their network of enclaves. The Lightsworn are encouraged to oblige, in the name of cooperation and forging new bonds. Seek out a new ally from the other side; learn from one another, be it force, combat, or culture. Make a discovery together, or take on a special mission.

Objective II

The Space Port control tower was the first thing that Nathan struck.

The door to the control center was ripped open by Telekinesis. The first staff who jumped up were put in Force Stasis by the fully masked, armored man, who teleported past them and Force-Pulled the imperial officer overseeing the space port to his waiting grasp, punching him square in the face and knocking him out cold as he executed a Force Whirlwind on the remaining personnel, spinning them so hard that they became severely nauseated and dizzy before being slammed into a wall with telekinesis, knocking them out.

He then used his telekinesis to rip out the structural rebar and carefully wrap it around everyone in the control center without hurting them.

He then got busy slicing the security systems, busily typing away finding all the imperial pursuit vessel list. Starfighters, Corvettes, Frigates nearby.

He ordered the Imperial Frigates docked immediately impounded due to a biohazard detection alert and the crew quarantined, putting the immediate queries from the captains of those vessels on a wait list. That would buy a small bit of time for the rest of the strike team to hit the smaller military vessels waiting to take off. He would go after the Docked Frigates...

...in the way only he could...

Objective II:

A heavily modified, stealth coated TIE Avenger cut through Chandrilan airspace. Tydeus sat in the cockpit, flicking through panel controls and checking readouts.

He was no Jedi, but he did number among the ranks of the Lightsworn. One of the first to draw his blade at that meeting so long ago. Tydeus remembered gripping the offered arm of Bernard of Arca. What was it he had said?

In one motion, Tydeus’ hand shot out and seized Bernard’s, fingers curling around the man’s forearm in a grip of iron.

”Remake me then,” he hissed, “so long as I cut.“

And cut he had. Through Sith. And now through these core Solipsist Imperials.

Tydeus’ hands curled around the yoke and he looked down through the bubble viewport at the ground below.

“Saber One, standing by.”

The Lightsworn were coming.

Not more than two years ago, Brandyn would have run to their side without hesitation. He would have thrived. But that man was gone—replaced by a conservatively minded, overly cautious father-to-be.

He had just come from visiting the recovering Briana and Bastila. Sepan had nearly taken them both. The weight of his absence that day still pressed against him.

Responsibility. Protection.
The words echoed within.

Wind swept across the landing platform, carrying the faint fragrance of nearby challa-blooms. He closed his eyes, letting the scent pull him to the Shore - his wife, their small family. Small things mattered now more than ever.

And yet, as the Council's chosen representative to greet the Lightsworn, he knew he would be the least welcoming among them.

Hanna City Spaceport

"Anything Imperial related needs to be seized and destroyed, the safety of the Jedi and our civilians is of the upmost importance. We will stand and fight for as long as we can until the all civilians and captured Jedi are evacuated." Shiraya's hope stood vigilant, the old and new guard shouted in unison. "For Naboo and for the Republic. Show these cowards the strength that we yield and the hope and light within each of us."

The warning sirens were still echoing through the docking bays when the first shots tore across the landing platforms. Yet due to efforts by Nathan Bloodscrawl the sirens came to a silence. And the only thing that could be heard was the sound of lightsaber and blaster fire. Sleek Imperial cargo ships, mid-refuel, erupted into fireballs as the attack had begun—Jedi and members of Shiraya's Hope and alike stormed the bay. Their main priority was distraction, and Aiden was going to give it everything he had.

Bolts of plasma cut through the air, scorching the air with red streaks. The spaceport's security droids as well as what Imperial soldiers were present scrambled to return fire, their voices lost in the chaos.

Each explosion rattled the glass of the control tower, where panicked operators tried to lock down the docking clamps before the seizure of the ships but Nathan had already taken care of them.

Talsin didn't make oaths lightly.

He swore, both to himself and to Tansu, that he had learned from the past few weeks. That he found himself in the turmoil and was ready to finally truly make a difference in the Galaxy. Not by trying to split his responsibilities in half, but instead by accepting that one could not exist without the other. That having resources meant having the responsibility to use them too.

The moment he could speak for more than a few breaths without collapsing he contacted Lirien. He didn't ask, he didn't discuss, instead Duke Lota ordered his chamberlain to reorganize the House guard, to properly activate the intelligence network his father had build over the decades and to open up their funds.

It was not charity. There was purpose behind it and there was purpose here too. House Lota ships were offered to assist with the evacuation, guards to protect the people trying to board.

But Talsin wasn't with the evacuation forces. In the past he would have, avoiding the clear aggressive path and instead lend his hand to something that was purely defensive in nature. Not anymore. Now he was standing in one of the transports and watched as the spaceport came into view. "Stick close to me," He said to Tansu. "I only trust you to have my back."

It wasn't about keeping her safe, it was about working together and both finding a new role in this new dynamic.

The ship shuddered around them.

"We are doing the right thing." Again to her, but this one felt more like addressed to himself as well.

HANNA CITY
CHANDRILA
OBJECTIVE 2a: EVAC

Tilon put the black-and-gold Wake of Balmorra down in what had been a market square, not far from where he'd landed on his first evac run off Chandrila only weeks ago. When the Empire appeared in the sky he'd been navigating Blue Coral Diver communities with a shipload of trade goods and boisterous Padawans. Better days. Hanna City hadn't held up well under Imperial rule. The mood was clear.

He got on the horn, specifically the bulk freighter's external speakers, and began laying out urgent notices in a few relevant languages. Anyone ready to go, especially with children or in special need of asylum — anyone they could get, really. Trust was in short supply. Fortunately the spaceport was clearly under attack and Tilon had recently spent a few days in this part of Hanna City. Some knew him and many knew his ship.

Better days.

Naboo was beautiful in a different way than Atrisia. Henna watched as the temple emerged amongst the slopes, timeless. Its elegance was universal in a way Hirata was not, and without the bitter weather that so frequently visited her home. Yet, despite the peaceful views, a sense of trepidation still gripped the master. The Jedi Order was a shining beacon across the southern systems, rising above their nether troubles. A glimpse at a reality that was closed forever to the New Jedi with the constant rise of Empires, and the wars that followed. Beyond their borders, however, lay the blackwall - still standing, unbothered. Its existence - and lack of their would-be allies to tear it apart - troubled her deeply. Fledgling Order or not, their code was clear.

As the shuttle came onto the landing platform, Henna smoothed the line in her robes, willing her thoughts into stillness. Today was not a day of judgment. It would be one of cooperation, aligning against a shared threat in order to guard the greater galaxy against their enemies of darkness. Hesitation was defeat. She would hold to that truth. A hand slipped into Inosuke's on the seat beside hers to offer a brief squeeze. Where she was a rock, unyielding against the tide, he was water. Adaptable, to flow with the land, but relentless enough to carve new valleys. Today, she would strive to move as he did.

A nod was offered to their other councillors as they rose. They, too, would bear the burden. The master assumed the beginning of the line, exiting their ship to find Brandyn Sal-Soren Brandyn Sal-Soren awaiting their arrival. Golden orbs assessed the knight before offering a curt bow.

"Knight Sal-Soren. Thank you for having us. It is my hope we leave here today with some semblance of unity and a plan greater than manifested at the Midnight Council."

OBJECTIVE II: CHANDRILA | HANNA CITY SPACEPORT

____________________________________________________________
They'd coordinated enough—loosely, but enough—to recognize that the thinned swarm from the spaceport was because Bloodscrawl's ground team had been successful. Now, only the sharp silhouettes of Imperial-class military ships rose from the cylindrical hangar towers of the Hanna City Spaceport. For the moment, the sky was theirs to breach.

It was a clear split: It meant that only Talsin and Tansu's shuttle had to separate from the evac convoy responsible alongside Quill.

"How'sabout you stick with me cowboy," Tansu drawled contrarily, expression wrapped up in the most impish simper.

"Yeah, I'll watch your back." Her palm pressed to the small of his back, trailing up over his shoulder until her fingers curled at his collar. The tug she gave the front plating of his cuirass was a sharp, deliberate clue.

"If you keep eyes on my front."

Still facing him, she stepped backward out of the cutaway. Boots left durasteel, and she let gravity take her. The planet's pull bit instantly; air clawed at her braid as the towering hangars tilted in her periphery.

Her free fall didn't last long before the first TIE banked to intercept. Her sabre flared in a brief, blinding arc—not to cut the pilot, never the pilot — but to shear the port wing assembly. The craft wobbled, spiralled, and clipped a mooring tower before sliding in smoke toward the Silver Sea's shoreline.

Its buddies followed tight behind, their twin ion engines screaming in harmony. Over the ripping wind, she heard it sound like it lined up its cannons on her as a moving target.Tansu twisted in freefall, boots slammed onto its dorsal hull and she used all her momentum to sprint the length of its wing strut, sabre flashing once to shear through the starboard wing's pylon. The fighter lurched, peeling away in a spiral.

She didn't slow, she couldn't, one last stride at the wingtip launched her into the open air toward the second fighter. She landed on its cockpit ball with a jarring thud. Close enough to see the pilot inside flinch, snap back.

"Ya never saw me." Her blade skimmed along the viewport's seal just enough to blind its targeting array before kicking free into the void below. The fighter veered sharply, losing all firing accuracy as it dropped altitude. She crouched, hitching a ride until she could find something else to transfer to.

Wind shifted—cool from the ocean now, smelling faintly of brine and kelp—and she rode it down toward the blocky shadow of another ship lumbering away from the tower. Bigger, sleeker than a TIE (and a hell of a lot less iconic).

At the last second, she jumped from her hijacked TIE, to the outbound ship. One clean cut severed its forward sensor array, and the heavy gunship staggered, firing blind, before settling into a shuddering hover for emergency docking.

Tydeus squinted as his TIE Avenger whipped past one of the outbound ships and he craned his neck, looking down at the spinning wreckage of several TIE fighters spiraling out of control and trailing smoke. He thought he'd seen the flashing of a lightsaber and - reaching out into the Force, he felt a familiar presence there, clinging to that outbound ship.

"Impressive. A Jedi after all," he said to no one, though his comms channel was still active.

The boy snorted, gently pulling on the yoke to turn his craft back around for another loop, circling the skies and hunting for more of the enemy's air support.

She was the only one who could make his mouth dry with just a few words and a touch of his collar.

Utterly ridiculous.

"I... well." Nodding quickly there. "I will follow you anywhere, Tan."

Talsin really regretted those words when she suddenly stepped back and dove down. He blinked quickly and stepped forward, "Tan!" and watched as she beautifully carved through the first fighter with her lightsaber. She was even more gorgeous gliding through the air. He clicked his helmet on and after a sigh took that final step himself.

The wind immediately caught him in its grasp and Tal had to re-adjust, spinning, before he got his feet angled right. Downward. The shards of metal missed him by a hair, but Talsin wasn't planning on staying here long. He activated the silent thrusters of his booster-pack and pushed through the cloud, his armor soaked by the water on the other end, but he didn't feel the cold and water through the armor.

He followed Tansu as close as he could, but she was fast and she was grace. It was like watching art, seeing her deactivate those fighters without killing them.

She landed and a few breaths later Talsin landed behind her. Settling down on one knee and panting slightly.

"You show-off." Tal said with a laugh, but the tone was affectionate and frankly impressed. "You are gonna have to teach me that one." Finally he got up and looked over her. The spaceport was on fire, ships exploding, fights erupting within.

"Let's make a push... after you, my Lady. Clearly you are eager today." Teasing her but also entirely willing to let her take the charge this time around, a moment later they were off. Some of his troops landed behind them as they began their march forward. They'd create a beachhead and make sure they had a way to retreat, if that was needed.

Not a glorious assignment but the difference between life or death.

More of his soldiers joined them, keeping the heat off, allowing them to pierce straight into the spaceport. The last time they had been in a spaceport... things had been bad, but they were alone back then. Just the two of them. Now the heart of his House was with them and they would not flee without finishing their mission this time around.

His mother would have been proud. All the training in diplomacy was paying dividends. It had been worth all of the migraines. Though Briana was surely the source of most of those.

"Master Ashina. Knight Ashina." He bowed his head in greeting.

"Welcome to Naboo. The Jedi Order welcomes you. My sister sends her apologies. She is still recovering from the...incident...on Sepan," he spoke calmly, until he approached the matter of his sisters — sisters, really — where he tripped just slightly on his words.

Stepping to the side, with a gesture towards the open door, Brandyn began the slow walk towards the Sanctuary. Two masked, temple guards stood at ease to the left and right of the entrance. "Security across the Republic is being increased. As you can imagine, the Black Sun's encroachment into Republic space was met with...anxiety...among those in power. These guards are Knights from Enclaves associated with the Order. They have dedicated themselves to protecting the Sanctuary."

Their journey took them into the hallways of the Sanctuary. Light filled the space and a soft warm breeze blew, making it feel like they hadn't really stepped in under a roof.

"I will admit, Master Ashina, I was surprised when Briana asked me to meet you. I do not have a reputation on the Council that would be the most favourable to your plans," he said, tone light, approachable but unmistakably frank, "my best guess is that if you can convince me, well, you can convince anyone. As always. I am open to listen."

Cowabunga it is.
Lumbering but ready, Ceton had joined the others of the Lightsworn on this … meeting. This connection to the Jedi Order. He heard there was another Yinchorri Jedi stepping around with this group, though he was more a sage. A thinker and not so much a do-er, was all Ceton could think.

But that may not be the path that Ceton actually had taken. He wasn’t about to head to Naboo. He was going to Chandrilla. Getting passage on the transport that could take him, the warrior had primed his weapons, and his mind and body.

The meeting for him, it was a rescue mission. Nothing so cut and dry as a full on raid. The ship he had been on was Wake of Balmorra, and his new goal was to get as many of the light siders aboard it. Unless someone truly got into his mind, his real objective was to take down the Empire as much as he could.

“TIE.” He said, pointing a clawed hand. The Yinchorri pulled his cousin’s shell, the one that was his shield, off his back, his hand on the yellow cross-guard.

MARKET SQUARE
OUTSKIRTS OF HANNA CITY

Tilon left his droids repeating the loudspeaker notices and came down to help people up the ramp.

The Wake of Balmorra filled the square, wouldn't even have fit if some war damage hadn't leveled a building at one end. The long, flat ship shaded the ruins of the market and the growing lines of people in need of evacuation, people willing to risk trust. Or just whoever was left. You couldn't in any way predict who would show up to an opportunity like this. Tilon had a pretty decent sense for people and hadn't yet run into a moment where someone tried coming aboard under false pretenses in a situation like this. You had to keep an eye out. The Empire had friends everywhere.

The Wake of Balmorra had an order of magnitude more cargo space than any individual shuttle, but could only fit in a few hundred in unpleasantly close quarters for temporary trips. The life support systems would be pushed to their limits again.

Much sooner than Tilon would've liked, his holds and life support met his own benchmarks for maximum capacity in extremis. He went back through the now-packed corridors to the bridge and commed the nearby allies.

"Wake's full up, taking off."

He didn't discuss rendezvous points over the comm. They could really only make it just over the Alliance border to Pantolomin; from there, medium-term safety solutions had been arranged, passage to friendly ports and agencies farther from the battlefront.

Lorn slipped into the corridor quietly, the echo of his boots softened by the Sanctuary's open-air halls. His shoulder still pulled with each step. Sepan 8 was a sharp reminder that healing in bacta didn't mean the fight was done. He'd expected to find Vizion or Elias already in the middle of the greeting, but the sight ahead made him slow.

Brandyn.

Of all the faces to meet the Lightsworn, he hadn't expected his fellow skeptic from the Foundation days to be standing right here. They'd both resisted the prevailing opinion back then, arguing for caution while others pushed for aggressive action. Now, Briana had apparently put them both in the line of fire. Was this a mark of trust, or a quiet punishment for their dissent?

Drawing in a steadying breath, Lorn stepped forward, letting the warm Naboo breeze carry his words.

"Master Ashina. Knight Ashina."
He offered a shallow bow, measured but respectful. "Lorn Reingard. My apologies for arriving late. My transport from the medbay was... slower than I'd hoped." His gaze flicked briefly to Brandyn, a trace of wry understanding in his eyes, before he settled his attention on the visitors. "I'm here to see that these talks have every chance to succeed."

"Push forward!" Aiden declared as the enemy lines began to thin. "Keep formation." Everything seemed to working just as it should. No doubt more Imperial reinforcements would arrive but if they could seize the hangar in enough time. It would provide a good command point to which they could better hold and continue the distraction for as long as possible. Many needed to be evacuated.

Blaster fire still lit the air like red and blue lightning, slashing through the haze of smoke that was scattered among the hangar bay. The smell of scorched durasteel and burnt wiring filled the air briefly before dispersing into the air above them.

A squad of stormtroopers advanced in tight formation across the slick floor, their boots clanging with each step. Every few meters, they dropped to a knee, laying down suppressive fire toward the shadowed catwalks.

"Break off!" Aiden shouted, his free hand moving upward, creating a force barrier between him and the troopers that had arrived. Giving those among his team a chance to break for cover, while providing them with some protection before the barrier came down. His hand moved forward in a quick motion sending a wave of energy towards the troopers that had arrived.

Nathan teleported into the dockyards from a viewport, after using telekinesis to crush every vital system in the control room. He spotted a TIE trying to take off and held it in its place with telekinesis, dragging it towards him slightly, before ripping off its solar panel wings tossing the ball cockpit with the pilot still in it into a large mass of Security Droids, wrecking them all on impact as he proceeded to the docked frigates, who couldn't take off due to the docking clamps that he had locked down. He began running, coming under heavy fire and one end his dark blue Exar Kun-length lightsaber staff activated.

It was one of his most reliable Lightsabers. Every blade he made was reliable, but this was the first he had constructed in this era, and had continually modified it. He swatted bolts back at his shooters in the Shien style, killing multiple troopers with redirected head shots, his grey Tranquility Armor reflecting the light of blaster fire as he advanced.

Nathan's movement was a frightful blur as he cut down the firing stormtrooper squad. He felt... comfortable among the Lightsworn. They were not the Jedi of the Gulag Era, but they had remarkable similarities. Action. Visible, tangible action instead of endless debate. They understood the score.

Along the way, Nathan spotted Stormtrooper squads advancing on the forces of Aiden Porte Aiden Porte , who himself was trying to secure a hangar. He watched them go flying and assisted with a wave of his own, sending them not only further, but increasing their speed before teleport-diving into the next group of troopers advancing on the hangar.

His blade moved in deadly dark blue fans, beheading some, deflecting shots into faces, cutting others in half. Shallow but fatal slash marks across the chest of an enemy. The more died right here the less there were to enforce the Empire's will down the road. This was not being done by Nathan out of Malice. This was simple necessity. As much of a distraction needed to be caused as possible.

(Colonel Troutman: His job was to kill! Period! Win through attrition!)

Nathan, once he had dealt with next squad of troopers try to finish Porte, couldn't stay long except to grip an enemy TIE trying to fire on the hangar and then smash it into the ground where yet another mass of security Droids and troopers were, killing them also before proceeding to his next destination, advancing through a small army of Stormtroopers at this point, killing some at close range with heavy Shien slashes, but killing many more with deflected shots to the face or chest before finally reaching his original destination.

Nathan held out both hands, gripping a portion of the hull and he concentrated, moving his hands as he tore a gap into the side of the frigate in front of him, causing tremendous damage and teleported into the gap to cut his way to engineering...

"I'm glad to hear it, Knight Reingard." Henna nodded to their new arrival. "Hopefully, you'll be able to assist us in rallying Knight Sal-Soren, then. He was explaining it may be an effort to extract a similar level of enthusiasm from him."

Tone was light, face smooth, but Henna did not take those words as easily as she appeared. The mention of Black Sun had put an edge about her presence in the force. There was such a time the master had watched her previous colleagues handle policing and intelligence for the Alliance, in matters of the underworld and beyond. It only served to divide their attention in their war with the Sith Empire, and provide the Senate ammunition to use that would later lead to their inquisition.

"I understand we do not come at the best time - with Black Sun, and with your wounded. Yet I am glad we can have this discussion before you become too deeply embroiled in a new conflict."

Henna would follow as they led, the beauty of the Temple now lost on her as she focused on their purpose.

"Our purpose as Jedi is to maintain peace. I understand protecting the Republic against the Syndicate's influence and scheming falls into this realm. While I admire your efforts, I would urge you to consider that they would be better spent elsewhere. Two empires stand to threaten the light itself."

Lips pressed, she stopped herself from continuing. It would be a discussion, not a lecture. Let them digest.

Feng was relishing the fight, the thrill, the challenge. All the while she was feeling these emotions she was aware of the living force. It flowed through everyone even those she killed in the defence of those being evacuated. She did not enjoy killing, it was an unfortunate necessity.

The combat however was exhilarating.

"Come on you sleemo's come and get some!" Feng shouted at the stormtroopers as she cut a path to the Hangar. She managed to cut an opening in the stormtroopers line, and picked up the child she was protecting.

She tried not to feel anger at the stormtroopers for attacking a helpless child, she really did, but it was hard not to be enraged.

Breathe Feng calm your thoughts. The purple is a warning against treading to close to the dark side not an excuse to indulge in it. You don't know these stormtroopers stories, they could be conscripted, chances are not all of them are bad men. If they survived this they would go home to their families and loved ones. Are their families grief any less potent for their actions?

Feng understood the logic of that, but it still only made her begrudgingly frustrated. She thought of what Master Wu would say.

Do not hate them, pity them. Whatever path has led them to this moment, is a dark one. Whether they know it or not acts of evil such as this harm themselves as well as their victims.

Maybe I should put them out of there suffering then?
Feng thought with a flash of vengeance. Which was the thought that stopped her cold.

The stormtroopers were forming up closing the gap, she wouldn't be able to get through. She was fighting one handed Shien, sending the blaster bolts back, baby on her hip.

Is that who you are? Someone who relishes killing? Feng asked herself.

Feng took a breath and wrapped the Living Force around her. She felt the stormtroopers fear and panic, felt their minds view her as a storm of wrath.

No. Not wrath. Righteousness. Feng told herself gently, forgiving herself for the anger rather than trying to fight it.

Feng harnessed the force and sent out a force push reopening the weakening of the line towards the hangar. Feng put on force speed, running through the collapsing stormtroopers like white bowling pins. She grinned at the thought her good mood restored. Feng greeted Aiden's forces with a grin and passed the child to a confused soldier.

"I think her diaper needs changing but it'll have to wait." Feng informed him with a grin. "Seriously though your only job is to protect this baby. Unless you think you're more valuable than I am in the field?"

Feng nodded to the reluctant nanny soldier and took position with Knight Aiden.

"What's the situation?"

Invincible is merely a word.

Knight Ashina? Inosuke's eyes slowly bounced between Henna and the Jedi before them. His countenance remained inscrutably austere, betraying any slight he might have felt. There was no way they could have mistaken him for their son, the only Knight Ashina currently living.

"Master Ashina, if you please," Inosuke corrected flatly. He'd chalk it up to a misunderstanding. Though he feared that if it were anything else, how exactly they could have been so gravely misinformed. Regardless, there were far more important matters at hand than decorum. He wouldn't press it.

"We are aware that Black Sun is a problem. Henna's ties to the Consortium have made sure of that," he assured. "However, the Empire grows in power by the day, and the Sith waiting behind the blackwall are bound to see this as an opportunity."

A pause broke up his statement as they entered the temple. Similar to Henna, the elegance of it all might as well have been invisible.

"Likewise, the threat of Project Stardust still looms. I fear a time is coming when all Jedi will be forced to choose a front. I loathe to think they would choose poorly."

That was why they were here. No reason to dance around it.
