Tahn stood back to allow his fellow Mandalorian an opportunity to open the door with his explosives, holding his axe tightly as he waited for his opportunity to pounce. He knew that there were men and women to slaughter in there, nobody hid useless items behind a door like this. And although it may not have had much effect against the door itself, the battering of his axe and the ringing of steel must have left those inside wetting themselves with fear of what was coming for them.
Then the explosion came, but it wasn't the one at the door. Plasma bolts shot through the roof narrowly avoiding some of the tightly packed squad, as they shot through and continued past the floor. Some of the men with him were less lucky and were torn apart quickly by the bolts raining above them, spraying a couple of the men around them with viscera. Others were lucky they had helmets to cover them from the spray, but Tahn's face was now soaked in the blood of friend and foe. Still he wasn't as grotesque as the child near him, a small thing dripping in blood. He knew what it was like to have to kill at such a tender age, but still seeing such a brazen child felt off in this battlefield.
As the bolts stopped coming is when the debris began to fall around them, Commander Garon ordering all of his men to jump through the window. Tahn stood awkwardly by as the rest of the men ran past him to throw themselves out of the window, only to raise back up as the jetpacks carried the upwards to the sky. He gave a quick look outside of the building to see how far down it was as the building collapsed around him. Too damn far to drop, he anxiously thought as he began to look around for another exit.
His eyes led him to the corpses that had previously been his allies, but was now just a mess of limbs and bones. Dropping to his knees he began tossing both arms and armour aside and he began looking for an operating jetpack. The rubble fell around him as he began to search more desperately, a rather large chunk of debris collapsing onto his back as he salvaged leaving a deep and sharp pain in his upper back. Finally his hands reached what he was searching for, strapping it around himself as he ignored the pain of what was surely a few broken ribs.
The window his squadmates had used was blocked now, only way out was up through one of the holes that the Liberator had so generously made for him. Tahn unfortunately wasn't too familiar with how jetpacks work and, although he managed to get past the ceiling well enough, he had thrown himself way past any proper footing he would have in an awkward spin. His hands desperately tapped buttons in order to gain control of the thing, but one tap shut off the propulsion system in it completely. Thoughts of regret swam in Tahn's mind as he began a freefall down back towards the building he had just escaped from, trading his spinning for a straight fall downwards.
Fortunately this gave him the opportunity to finally regain his positioning as he spotted the giant metal beast that Mia Monroe was hiding in below him, the sight bringing Tahn's bloodlust back to the forefront of his mind. As he fell, an outstretched arm reached towards the basilisk hoping to find some type of holding for him to cease his freefall. If his fingers found no such bearing than his fall would continue it's fateful journey downwards, either way would not be good for his already damaged ribs.
