Chkhoz Pikeyy

Chkhoz Pikeyy

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Name: Chkhoz Pikeyy

Faction: Unaffiliated

Rank: N/A

Species: Verpine

Age: 23

Sex: Hermaphroditic (Male Personality)

Height: 1.7m/5'6 ft

Weight: 60kg/132lbs

Eyes: Black

Hair: N/A

Skin: Green

Force Sensitive: Yes

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Strengths and Weaknesses:
+Tympanic Nerves (Verpine possess two antennas that allow communication with all Verpine in a 100 km radius. These antennas are sensitive to sound and radio waves, and can tune in on signals within range. However, once a Verpine like Chkhoz leaves their colony, they are exposed to a multitude of noisy signals, and the effective range must be reduced to hone in on any one signal.)
+Chitinous Carahyde (A Verpine’s exoskeletal skin is considerably resistant, and can endure a measure of physical damage. Verpine carahyde is said to deflect blades and even absorb a glancing shot from a blaster.)
+Self-Preserving (Concerning dangers that he does understand the full extent of, Chkhoz is one who will never enter a situation without feeling properly prepared. With an active will to survive, he harbours basic skills and attitudes centered on sticking around.)
+Eccentric Engineer (Chkhoz’s mechanical brilliance can be used to create something useful even out of scrap metal. His constructive mind is by far his most valuable asset.)
-Lackluster Linguistics (Chkhoz’s prudence in civil galactic speaking has room for improvement. Until he undergoes a curriculum of verbal education, inter-species communication may require an interpreter.)
-Magnanimous (Chkhoz is not out for blood, and doesn’t keep track of those who wrong him. While this may please the Light Side of The Force, the detriments of this type of behavior far outweigh the benefits, especially when dealing with dangerous individuals.)
-Sheltered (Pikeyy is yet to see the full extent of violence, cruelty, evil, manipulation, deception, death, despair, etc. in the galaxy. If crossing paths with nasties, expect an emotionally ill-prepared young man facing a loss of innocence.)
-Poor Self Control (Verpine are very independent, and sometimes fail to let others in light of their bright ideas, like installing dangerous upgrades to freighters or rigging vehicles to explode if the wrong hands operate them. Chkhoz’s is no different, and his tendency to do so occurs inconsistently. With that, it's safe to assume he could work on learning some restraint in some areas of his life.)
*Buggy Build (Being an insectoid, Chkhoz's body maintains a very thin frame. While the insect body houses strength comparable to most other humanoids, the pointy hands at the ends of his two thin arms would likely prove ineffective for unarmed striking. Still, those hands look very capable of grabbing.
*Poor Force Sensitivity (While Chkhoz is Force Sensitive, his connection is so feeble that he has no idea that he even contains any of the astral power. With that, he has no knowledge of the Force in general. This is not to say that he never will be able to use it in some way, like most beings, but it won’t benefit him in combat in its current untrained state.)
*Seeking Guidance (After experiencing the hollow pleasures of bars, gambling, and holo-games, Chkhoz has begun to lose touch with idle distractions: He has an idea of what skills he already has and those he wants to look into, but something deep inside calls for him to consider a higher purpose beyond his handful of dreams. Conflicted, he is yet to get the ball rolling in a definite direction; albeit forward nonetheless.)
*Unwavering Will (Being set in one’s ways or decisions is characteristic of the Verpine. Pikeyy is no exception; he will likely not back down on his positions if the matter is serious to him. This sole trait has lead to the death of many Verpine, but to Chkhoz and his kind, it’s a pride that is worth fighting for.)

Appearance:
With no semblance of scars/injuries or possession of any identifying apparel, Chkhoz's appearance is currently indistinguishable from any other Verpine.
Pikeyy wears the standard Verpine battle dress; consisting of a tight-fitting, slightly green-toned, chest piece with 3 small, layered, pauldrons covering each shoulder, and a short collar covering a brief segment of his neck. Under the chest piece is a leather blaster holster/belt atop a thin garb that cuts off below the hips This is his only outfit, but it shows very little wear and tear, as he’s only worn it a few times.

Biography:
Origin
Born on the far ends of the Roche Asteroid Fields, Chkhoz was raised under uniform conditions in one of the minor Verpine Hives. Pikeyy’s growth in developing skills in the galaxy-renowned technological and bureaucratic brilliance customary to Verpine lead to results that never quite met the level that his peers were on. Those in his community were well aware of this, and his part in developing for the Hive or Roche was embedded in less interesting projects and pursuits. Feeling unfulfilled all throughout his early life, it was here when Chkhoz began to consider one day breaking away from his home, and exploring the galaxy. The opportunity to do so occurred when Chkhoz was about age 19. Wookie traders arrived in the asteroid belt to barter for unspecified resources. Their stay in the system was a bit longer than usual, as they had a noticeably damaged fuel injector that the Verpine insisted they repair before their departure. During this time, Pikeyy wrestled with the thought of staying or going with the Wookies in their travels before being confronted by friends and peers that deemed the decision foolish, and suggested he waited for another opportunity to arise. He ultimately chose to hitch a ride with the traders, who were mostly welcoming of his company. For the time being, he was attached to the Wookies, and provided repairs and maintenance to their shuttles and starships while they traded with systems near and far.
Up until now, Chkhoz has been spending the past 4 years seeing and experiencing all that the Mid Rim has to offer; spending and earning small amounts of credits honestly here and there, but wanting more from it all. That said, this type of life has begun to bore him too. In time, he has formed a desire to create, design, and one day manufacture all manner of equipment and machinery on a possibly commercial scale. Simply getting started will be difficult for him, because, as of now, he only has 300 credits, no weapons, and a Verpine datapad to his name.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Notable Items:
Verpine Datapad: Chkhoz's most integral item is the Verpine Datapad that he took with him after departing from his homeworld of the Roche Asteroid Fields. Nothing about it is particularly special, and is comparable to the VersaFunction88 Datapad in performance and memory, among other capabilities.
Ship:
As of now, Chkhoz does not have a personal ship, and travels with Wookie Traders around the galaxy.
