I. BIOGRAPHY
Chessashai was born on the desert planet of Mirial, known for its beautiful pink and green landscapes. The Mirialians mother left when she was young, the reason for her mother's departure rooted in her very traditional father. Her father, a man of tradition with distinctive face tattoos, had specific expectations for his children, especially his three sons, whom he groomed to become prestigious warriors and protectors so that they could be hired in the future as bodyguards on other planets. Chessashai's closest bond was with her older brother, Dreskennel. Despite their father's expectations, they shared an appreciation for music and dance, traits that undoubtedly came from their absent mother. They were kindred spirits in a household that held rigid traditions.Dreskennel's decision to run off with a human from a distant village shattered Chessashai's world. His whereabouts remained a mystery, leaving Chessashai alone with their furious father. After the event, her father seemed to become even more strict towards her and her brothers. Her brothers who were now young men seemed to struggle to reach their fathers expectations to earn their face tattoos. As Chessashai entered her mid-teens, her two remaining brothers ventured off-planet to pursue their careers. Left behind, she struggled with her father's expectations, particularly regarding her warrior training. Despite his efforts to mold her as he had her brothers, Chessashai refused to be confined by these expectations. She became extremely disconnected with her father and social relationships with others her age in general.
Fortunately, an uncle, her mother's brother, listened to Chessashai's grievances and encouraged her to chase her dreams. Inspired, Chessashai pursued a quest to become a singer, a dream she had long cherished. She sang in nearby villages to earn the money necessary to travel to a Mid Rim planet renowned for its prestigious music academy. Though her father vehemently disapproved, Chessashai moved ahead and gained acceptance into the academy.
She was considered a hard worker, however, her years at the academy weren't perfect. She was considered extremely talented by many but there were still many competitors in her classes which caused extreme pressure. Chessashai felt like she simply had to give it her full dedication to graduating, and so she realized that in success there came some deceit. Poisoning others, ruining voices, lying, and manipulation were just a handful of the tactics she turned to in order to gain what she wanted. After three years of training, she graduated but at the cost of a social reputation. Many of her classmates hated her for her emotional manipulations, but did not have any evidence to tie her to her more serious offenses.
After graduation, she got a contract and introduced herself to the galaxy as "Chessa Bossa," her alias as a singer. She felt the need to have a simpler and slightly different name in order to let go of her past easier. Her talent quickly drew attention, and she found herself performing in popular clubs throughout the galaxy.
However, as her career blossomed, Chessashai was soon introduced to spice. She was hesitant at first but eventually succumbed to spice and its many different variants to the point in which she could not handle big jobs unless she had some. Chessashai began to gain interest in the criminal underground and it's involvement with spice, she realized that it was a rather exciting world. Chessashai decided that she would continue her singing career but move towards the darker schemes with easier access to spice, and so she set up a new office in none other than Nar Shaddaa.
PERSONALITY
Chessahai is independent and confident, important traits that have forged her present life. She is extremely drawn to anything elegant and mysterious. Chessa does not care about the morally good, if there's an easier way to achieve something despite any negative implications she will pursue that route. The mirialan even poisoned someone at the academy simply to ruin their voice so that Chessa could be picked for a certain project… Rebelliousness is clearly consistent in Chessa, from all the times she did not conform to her father, and from all the times she did not follow rules at her Academy. With enough calculations, she is not afraid to take risks to benefit herself. Danger is fun for her. She is confident in the way she carries herself, especially with the help of spice, she can put up long lasting facades of a fake glamorous self.
APPEARANCE
Chessashai, a Mirialan of alluring and unique charm, has striking purple skin and a right-sided white tattoo representing her graduation from the renowned music academy. Her high cheekbones lend an elegant touch to her countenance, harmonizing with her long, straight black hair, which she rarely puts up unless it's for a photoshoot. Her captivating black eyes, framed by arched eyebrows, reveal an expressive and entrancing gaze. She maintains her slender form in elegant, form-fitting dresses.
