Changes to Republic Government and Elections 2.0

Hi everyone,

I have an apology and an announcement to make — unfortunately the structure of the government jumped the gun. After some deliberation, we revisited the set-up and have determined that the following triumvirate will be enacted (we will still avoid a single Chancellor).

Republic's Triumvirate:

1. Chief of the Senate - Oversees the Senate and political functions of the Republic.

2. Chief of Government - Oversees the government and administrative functions of the Republic.

3. Chief of the Military - Works with the military commanders to discuss grand strategy and funding for the military.




How does this affect the prior votes?:

1. You now have to consider the Chief of Senate and Chief of Government only.

2. The Chief of the Military will be NPC’d until the entire military is fleshed out and an appropriate candidate is selected. This is an earned position.

With this in mind, we are going to open the floor for people to nominate themselves or others for the role. A vote of all Republic members will then be held, with the top two vote recipients being elected. They will then decide amongst themselves which has which role.

Not really, that is where my char would be best fit and putting him in Gov or Senate was something that would never even happen, so not bothering trying. Not enough popularity to get elected there.

[member="Memorial"], I could be wrong on this, but what I think [member="Kiskla Grayson"] is getting at is that the Chief of Military will eventually be coming from a military background, like an Admiral or a General, sort of like the Joint Chiefs of Staff in real life. It's a highly political office, but there's a prerequisite of being some sort of military person. Again, I could be wrong on that, and Kiskla can say tell me if I'm right or wrong in that assessment.
