Private Chance Encounter

Josh Dragovalor Josh Dragovalor

It has been some time since the last speaking to Aloy Vizsla, It had been clear that her goals and her attempts to possibly understand the ways of the force, without any guidance other than training with the warrior wookies from time to time. The young had improved herself to the best of her abilities. Her past attempts to discover anyone that could possibly help her down this path had all but failed. After time had passed, the girl slowly started to become better at defending herself without the use of her sight. Her aunt had warned her that she would need to get possibly better with using her other senses rather than just her eyes alone.

After focusing on several tasks by herself, the young girl was pushed to her limit. Training daily with a blindfold on, the young girl hadn't been a quick learner at the subject of self-defense. However, her training was done for the day. Yet she had stopped and prepared to eat a little snack, unaware of any potential people that might be able to feel out her own energy around her. The girl never really interacted with anyone other than Aloy. She still wished to meet Aloy's wife. and maybe her daughter as well..Her wishes had seemed to be more focused on living her life with the thought of being rather happy.

"Wonder what I should do today, I can go running on the path that I always do but it's become dangerous." She had thought lightly to herself as she blinked a few times and looked around for a second before taking a bite out of the fruit as she smiled softly. The girl took lightly bites of the fruit as she smiled softly after finishing it and leaning upwards stretching her arms. Her life had been quite interesting, to say the least.

Mission control had given word of someone who had cleared Kashyyyk space that wasn't part of their approved roster list. Initially intentions were to send out some soldiers to investigate, but sensing an unfamiliar Force presence on the planet, Josh called them off. Handle it myself, I will, he told them. They did not know if it was friend or foe. They had not attacked or caused a disturbance just yet at the Silver Rest. But they were in the Rest. They had decided to hail them as they were non-aggressive for now, but now the investigation began.

Moving to the given coordinates, Josh glimpsed a young woman who he did not recognize. While people he didn't recognize came in and out all the time, she matched the presence he felt when trying to sense into that area. Which meant she was likely their woman.

"Hello there" the Grandmaster greeted as he approached, giving a gentle bow in turn. "Is there something we can help you with?"

Josh Dragovalor Josh Dragovalor

At first, she hadn't said anything to the person. her eyes scanned over him for a brief second. Then closing her eyes and feeling the man's presence out. After a few moments, she would open her eyes in slow-motion and taking a moment to scan over his appearance. His facial appearance and his clothes.. the girl had lightly smiled softly. "What can you help me with? I honestly don't know, this is the third time. That I've encountered another person other than Aloy Vizsla Aloy Vizsla , however, your presence is surrounded by the force.. Who are you?" She had taken the time to talk to the man.

The girl was rather polite on manners, and she had a good backstory. If he would notice, there was no ship anywhere in sight and she super close to a Wookie campground. Jade was a person who had grown up on the planet and never really left it other than the attempt to met another force-sensitive like her. but that didn't go too well on the planet of Coruscant. So she had returned here for the time being. Her hope was to potentially meet someone who would be suitable for a teacher for her.

"Apologizes, my name is Jademar Earisa... I uh.. kinda grow up here.. and been here all my life. this is the second time someone has approached me at all. The first was a nice mother-like figure that was named Aloy." She had blinked a few times before smiling at the man, the girl had her legs crossed in a position where was idly sitting on her own.

His brow furrowed when the girl explained that she had been here her entire life, but only a handful of people had even approached her. "All your life? So you were here before the Jedi settled into Kashyyyk?" he inquired, promptly clicking his communicator behind his back to tell the Jedi that they needed to keep searching to find who owned the mystery ship. And that he'd investigate the lead he had. The woman seemed genuine enough, but her story seemed a little far-fetched for his tastes.

"You've only met another person three times in your life?" he then inquired, tilting his head in turn. "And you've been here all this time and the Jedi didn't know about it? Forgive me if I'm a little suspicious" he brought up. "If this is due to neglect on our part, then I do apologize. Would you perhaps want to talk on your story over lunch? I'll buy, if it's reasonable" he offered. Aloy Vizsla... He didn't know the name, but he knew the surname. That was a red flag in of itself.

Then he remembered he hadn't introduced himself. He extended a hand. "Josh Dragovalor. I'm one of the Silver Jedi's Grandmasters."

Josh Dragovalor Josh Dragovalor

At first thought, the young girl had blinked a few times listening to his words for only a brief second. The very thought of someone questioning her words.. was quite strange for her. However, she had shaken her head then spoke towards him in a polite manner. Before speaking, she was clearly taking her time to choose her words and thinking about her next words. "Well, yes those people being my Mother, Aloy, and another Mando that was with her at the time. " She had mentioned kindly towards the grandmaster Jedi that was before. The moment that he had sent in a request on the girl to see if there was anything on her. She had leaned up for a second hearing him offering her lunch. She took the time to nod her head towards him. "Of course, just allow me to grab something" She had walked away heading into a nearby hut that was slightly up into a tree.

Soon after the moment that she had left the area, The Grandmaster would get few messages. The first message that had popped up in his sight, was confirming that she had indeed been on the planet for all of her life. That was because the file had read that her mother had originally gotten trap on Kashyyyk with no way off the planet. She was at the time few months pregnant with Jade. After making it to Kashyyyk, the woman given up her life of crime and settled down on Planet. However, that was all the report, except for the part where no one bothered to go and check to see if the readings on the young girl were accurate. It appeared that she had been telling the truth and never being discovered...

Shortly after that report, a second report about her interaction with the Wookie tribe that took care of her after her mother's death, the young girl was guided and trained, even learned how to speak Wookie to fit in around her age. The girl had a good potential for sensing out and connecting to the force, she was little more than your average force sensitive that didn't know anything. At best the young girl would need some better guidance to better help her.

The next report as she was just walking back towards him was talking about interaction with Aloy Vizsla Aloy Vizsla . The young girl had become rather good friends with the person. She even looked up to the woman as a mother-like figure. However, Aloy had tried to help her find someone who could properly train her in the way of the force. It didn't take long before the girl announced herself once more towards the man.

"Alright, I am back. Where are my manners. My name is Jademar Earisa. It's a pleasure to meet you. Josh Dragovalor "

So this Aloy Vizsla was her mother? But her name was Jademar Earisa? This whole thing just got more confusing by the minute. She had left for a bit and when she had returned, he had received several reports. That her mother had been a stranded refugee who the Wookiees had uncharacteristically not aided to help her get off the planet. Well that or she chose to stay willingly to raise her daughter. Weird place to do it, though. So she was this woman's birth daughter, for sure. That was... Strange. This was definitely a far-fetched story, and he had no clue how she had reached channels to get these reports to him, but there they were.

This was suspicious, but it would have to do for now.

He nodded his head when she returned. "A pleasure. What do you do for a living here, Miss Earisa? And wouldn't your name be Jademar Vizsla?"

Josh Dragovalor Josh Dragovalor

"Technically, No. Allow me to explain it more accurately so it could free up any confusion, you might have. My mom was a smuggler, she had to quit her line of work, because of her being pregnant with me. So she didn't want to risk putting my life in danger or having me grow up to be like her. After nine months, and crash-landed on Kashyyyk. By some luck. She didn't get too injured or lose me during the process. after a week after that, she had given birth to me. Technically my name would be Jademar Eurisa. I honor my mom's last name cause she means a lot to me. Anyways after a few years, rather than repair her ship since she used to tell me this a few times a week and tell me stories of her adventures. She had no idea how to repair the ship. The next few years of my childhood were fun and I got to spend time with her. Unware I would lose her. On my Seventh birthday. My mom had passed away.. she had fallen to a sickness unfamiliar to anyone that knows her. " She took a very deep breath, the girl hadn't even found it easy to talk about her mother in such a way, the girl had a sense of honoring the fallen rather than spit on their teaching. She then proceeds to continue her story. Her thoughts had been going through a few odd things that she wished to ask him but for now, she would continue her story and tell him more about herself rather than telling a lie. if he could tell, there was no indication that she was lying or being untruthful. Jade was very respectful towards people older than herself.

"After her death, I started to have sleeping problems and it didn't seem to go away. Every few nights it would repeat itself. but after I turned fourteen. It stopped..or well slow down to a degree. However, I meet someone a week after my fourteen birthday. it was a mother-like figure named Aloy Vizsla Aloy Vizsla . but no I wouldn't take her name. Because I have not been adopted and I haven't seen her since last time. I do miss her, however. I think of her as my adoptive mother. or someone I can go to for advice since I have no way of telling who to trust. As for another question... I kinda enjoy nature more than trying to explore other worlds. Tell me would it be safe for a child to leave on their own or try to sneak help. I didn't really think of those things ya know? Just felt life and enjoying day after day was quite peaceful. Anyways enough of that. " She had spoken towards the grandmaster before asking politely with a raised eyebrow towards him for a second tilting her head. She felt somewhat happy about telling this story to him cause it seemed to have been rather happy about the entire adventure of her life.

"Why exactly are you here, if you're a grandmaster. Why do you come here to investigate? That's kinda odd... Did I do something wrong? Am I going to Jail?" She had asked sitting down and blinking a few times. Wondering herself on why he would be here. Shouldn't a grandmaster be more focused on other matters rather than investigating something more important. It was certainly odd but she would only seem to nod her head and wait for his answer or least what he thought.

She wanted to explain more accurately, fair enough. The Grandmaster nodded his head as he was happy to let her proceed. So she was adopted, or well, sort of, but chose to keep her birth mother's last name, fair enough. He bowed his head slightly when she said that her mother had passed. It was all he could do, really. It was clearly not an easy subject to get into. Understandable, of course. It was hard to believe she'd managed to last on her own from the ages of seven to fourteen, though. It was possible, but certainly far-fetched. But he wouldn't chalk it up as a lie just yet. These sorts of struggles weren't entirely unheard of, though he was surprised that the Silvers hadn't been able to spot an untrained Force Sensitive child by herself and take her in long before that point.

"You're not in trouble, no. Not unless you give reason to be" he reassured her with a gentle smile. "We were investigating an unchecked ship and I didn't recognize you, so you seemed like the best place to start. If you're not tied to it though, then you're probably not in trouble."

He scratched his chin a moment. "As for you, you didn't answer my question about what you do for a living. Are you looking for something? The Silver Jedi are always looking for Force Sensitives to train and help protect people."

"Well, I do need a teacher, and I would more than likely love to help others when I possibly can." She looked up towards him for a moment, trying to idly rub her head for a split second to think of something. Before saying towards him with a light smile. Listening to his words for a moment, the young girl had thought about this quite a few times but never express it to others.

"As for the ship, it belonged to my parents... The engine is beyond repair... or as far as I know sir." Her dream was to potentially help others as much as she could, the girl had a good heart on her. She wasn't meant for evil things or becoming like her mother before her. She wasn't fit to be a smuggler. Yet she had met someone that seemed rather nice to her. She wishes that at some point that she would get to see miss Aloy again but for now, she hoped that things would go well here. She did wish to meet Aloy's wife Tan'yill Vizsla Tan'yill Vizsla . Aloy Vizsla Aloy Vizsla

"I wonder, what her wife is like. She seems like she is a good person to be around. I am curious about her. I hope someday I get to meet the two of them once more." She had thought to herself about the subject before turning her more attention on the grandmaster. "My dream is to help those that require help. I would try to make this place a better one. I don't like the idea of a lot of people getting hurt. if I can do something to stop something. I will try my best even if I end up failing. My mom once said failure always brings another lesson in life. you can't win every battle in life. I think?" She said softly towards him for a moment placing her hands behind her back.

Then it likely wasn't the ship they were looking for, if it had been on the planet for some time. That was fine. Chain of command could find it just fine. He sent a message through his datapad that he'd be off the search to handle a matter that had come up, but to keep him updated. With that, the soon-to-be-again-ex-Grandmaster (because who can keep titles straight in this galaxy?) listened as the girl detailed her dream. He smiled at that.

"You sound like how I was when I was younger. Just wanted to help people, no matter how hard that might be. I think the Jedi might be a fit for you, after all" he brought up. "I'll happily train you. But you need to understand that the Jedi life is not an easy one. It's going to be fraught with peril, and the training is going to be arduous and difficult. Your physical and mental capabilities will be stretched beyond their limitations, because quite frankly -- to fight what we have to fight on a regular basis, that's what is necessary. There are monsters, human and otherwise, all across the galaxy. You will need to learn to not only be strong in battle, but off the battlefield as well" he explained, before elaborating on that last part.

"A Jedi isn't just a warrior. They are an example. We can fight all the monsters we want, but if we don't show that there is merit in being good, then the galaxy will simply create more monsters in their place. But if you're sure this is what you want, then you have my word that I will do everything within my power to prepare you for what is to come."

Jade had quietly listened to him speak, focusing her attention on his words about him telling her that a Jedi's life wouldn't be an easy one. She has known that it wasn't likely going to be an easy life. She had nodded her head taking the time to listen to him for a moment. She had taken notes on his speaking about the Jedi are not just warriors, but more of an example of doing the right thing. Even if it had come down to a situation where jade would have to use that knowledge to possibly better help people around her. For the longest time, jade has always thought about helping those around her to the best of her own ability. The young girl had a good mind on her, she had the right ideal to try and help others that really required it.

"Well, I won't take that for granted.. if the training and journey to becoming a Jedi, under your teaching. Then I won't allow it to go to waste and try my best to learn everything I can. My only desire to help those around me, hopefully in due time. I can do just that. May I ask a question Master?" She had rubbed her head for a moment, the young girl had idly pushed her hand back and forth taking the moment to scratch her head. However, she started to think more clearly to herself, she had been thinking of how a Jedi would possibly create their own type of lightsaber. but she had no idea what a lightsaber was.. the young girl had heard the name once before, but never really know what it was. So she had a unique but simple question for him.

"Could I ask you what exactly a lightsaber is? I've heard of it a few times, my stepmom has mentioned it but never went into detail about it." She had mentioned softly towards him before folding her legs and looking up at him. The young girl closed her eyes as she thought about everything from the day that she had met few people that have greatly changed her own life, things had rather became easy for her and for her to understand the difficulty of things or even if it was simple. the young girl has come to learn a lot of things around her and didn't take it for granted.

Josh had trained many Jedi in the past. Some had become great Jedi, others had been less successful. He knew how important teaching them in this way was. How important making sure they knew how much work this was. How much responsibility. And that it was never just about being a great fighter. So many fell into that hole, and never thought to be people first, and warriors second. It had led to egos, and egos never led to anything good.

At least she seemed eager to learn. That was good. She had a question to ask though, and he tilted his head curiously, motioning for her to proceed. She then asked what a lightsaber was. She had heard the name, but no context. "A lightsaber is a Jedi's weapon. It is a sword with a blade of pure energy. It is almost weightless, allowing it to be wielded with great flexibility. But its energy blade is also quite dangerous, and it takes a great deal of training to learn how to wield. Non-Jedi and those without proper training typically do not wield them, as they are more likely to cut off their own arm than actually do any good with it" he lectured in turn. It was a strange first question to ask, he noted. But it was a question worth asking regardless.

"It will be some time before you have one of your own. But when you do, you will be ready."

Josh Dragovalor Josh Dragovalor

Jade had focused on him for a moment, taking the time to listen and heed his words about the subject of her having one later down the line, the girl didn't question it at all. She seemed to remain quiet for a moment before nodding her head and speaking towards him. The girl blinked her eyes for a second before focusing her attention on him for the time being. "I understand. That's all I really need to know. I am here for your guidance and what you say goes. I shall follow and respect those around me while being taught by you. Thank you for agreeing to teach me your ways. I am not sure where t0oa actually begin honestly." She mentioned towards her as she breathed in slowly and taking the moment to nervously rub her head while quietly staring at him for a moment as she blinked a few times, before officially closing her eyes for half a minute before re-opening them.

After a few minutes, she had begun to think about something to herself that she has not thought about in a long time, it is a very long time before she would get to meet tan and aloy again.. maybe it was for the best that she would potentially grow from these experiences and learn something that could beneficially help her later down the line. for the time being, she would quietly observe him and his actions rather than making any actions for the current time. Her main goal was to try and improve while learning about new things that she has yet to discover, maybe as time went on she might learn about something that could either be useful for the future or discover something that she might be really good with later down the line at that point.

Good, she took to this well. And asking questions was always a good habit for a Jedi to have. Even if this one was more of a... Curious question than anything relating to actual training. Still, at least now she knew. The Jedi Master smiled gingerly as she admitted she didn't know where to begin. "Follow me" he instructed.

Soon, they had found themselves within the Silver Rest, and in a training area. The first thing Josh had done was procure a band. He handed it to her to look over. "Putting this on will officially dub you Padawan. A learner. You will learn under me until you are ready to spring your wings and fly as a Jedi Knight. As your Master, it will be my responsibility to teach you what there is to know about the Force, the Jedi's responsibilities for the galaxy at large, and how to best find the way for you personally to handle them. Are there any questions?"

Jade had nodded her head, shortly following the Jedi grandmaster into the Silver Rest, of course, the girl hadn't said anything towards him for the moment. Only listening to his every word and nodding her head from time to time. The young girl had smiled at the thought, after receiving the padawan training band. She had stared at the band roughly for about a good few minutes that had passed around the two, then she would push it up towards her hair, after a moment. she would gently loosen the band and tie it around one of the main routes of her hair, then gently secure it on the right-hand side of her hair. It was now visible to anyone who came in contact with the young girl. Today would begin her very beginning of the path that she desired to become a Jedi, of course, this was not a selfish desire or something that was her only focus. The young female had wished to help others as she grow older and make potential friends. But in order to do that, she would need to grow up and become a Jedi knight. After a good moment, she looked at him hearing his question if there were any questions about all of this.

"Um not exactly, I don't have any question that actually comes to mind at the current time. but this place looks very amazing Master. I hope I get to learn all kinds of things. The thought of taking my time and becoming a Jedi. I like the sound of it. I hope to make my mother proud. I'll listen and follow your rules and lessons. When do we begin? " She had softly spoken towards him with a bright smile before bowing towards him. The girl would listen to him and allow him to teach, there were no further questions at all. Instead, she wished for him to guide her. Everyone has to start somewhere at some point, this would be the beginning of her training. she wasn't going to turn away now.

The Master would look over the braid once she had put it on. After a few moments, he reached over and began to adjust the padawan braid, making sure that it was tight enough and that it wouldn't cause her any discomfort. Being a father of two, one of which was his young daughter, this was easy enough. She soon then, asked him when they would begin.

"Right now, if you wish" he responded as he instructed for her to sit down. This was the purpose of taking her to a training room, after all. He would sit down himself, cross-legged. "Tell me what you know of the Force, and your capabilities in it. We can go from there."

Her eyes had focused on him for a moment, thinking for a moment before speaking towards him with a slight smile. "Well, I am able to push and pull things towards me to a certain point. I am able to conceal myself at an adaptive level but anyone being a master or higher can easily find me. My awareness towards other force users like yourself.. I am able to pick up someone's position if there is a certain range. That's about it. " She had mentioned towards him rubbing her head lightly and tilting her head, her eyes looked at him as she smiled softly. After a few minutes, the girl had rubbed her head for a second before glancing at him once more.

" Well, I am going, to be honest, and it's not something I usually explain to someone I just personally met. A long time ago. When my mother was living. Months just before her passing. She spoke of something that occurred around herself and me when I was younger. I freaked out and lost control of my abilities.. from the way she spoke.. she told me that I looked terrified of something. I pushed herself and everyone around me for a moment before passing out.. in my sleep when she held me close that night. she heard me mumble.. that they are coming.. after that.. I've been having repeated nightmares and visions of ghostly-like figures chasing me through fog... I can't tell why... that has happened. it's sorta weird.." She had explained towards him with a confused look upon her face as she blinked a few times before closing her eyes for the time being. She would listen to his words that he would either explain or have a theory upon such a thing. The young girl was almost sorta terrified because it caused her nightmares.. when it grow worse.. her force abilities wouldn't grow weak at all. Instead, it did the opposite. it would temporarily cause her force to be stronger than a padawan. The visions that happened some time ago, would likely occur around her once more and she was afraid if it did.. she might end up doing something and losing her friends or worse. The girl didn't have an explanation for it.. maybe someone could tell her what is truly happening to her.

He listened with keen interest as Jademar began to regale upon him what her current skills were. For someone without much experience, she knew more than he had expected. She knew how to use the Force at a Padawan level already, that certainly made things easier. Or harder, depending on the things that she had and hadn’t picked up without formal training. Formal training was important for good reason.

Or perhaps her mother had given her some formal training? It was hard to say by how she spoke. But this story about losing control of her abilities, and the nightmares, they were a concern. “Some have the ability to possess prophetic dreams within the Force. It is not an ability I have, it appears to be an innate one. But it’s something that we can look into with medical, if you wish” he brought up. “It looks like at the least, we can skip the basic force lesson. So we’ll move onto a practical exercise” he brought up as he held out a hand. A button would press and a large block would drop between them.

“Push it forward with the Force, then as you called it, pull it back. Let’s gauge your abilities through a demonstration so I can see where your weaknesses are. Then we can work on them.”

She had breathed in nodding her head for a moment, taking the time to slowly breathe in as she pushed her hands up seeing there was a rather large boulder or medium size next to it.. the girl had focused on potentially the larger rock.. it had been a very long time since she had been able to do this.. the girl rather than rushing it.. taking the more clear route. One by one thing began to clear out of her subconscious, her only task was to lift this rocket.. despite her practicing in the past. she was by far no expert at this at all. or anywhere close to a master's level... yet she was above average for someone who has no form of training.. but the girl had originally thought about training her abilities each day but not constantly.

Shortly focusing on the force alone, the boulder shake for a moment as it began to flow upwards lifting of the ground inch by inch if he paid close attention towards her. he would notice that she was starting to sweat.. it hadn't been long before she had panted more.. lifting slightly higher before losing her complete focus on the boulder as it crashed down on the ground.. she fell to her knees panting heavily.. as she breathed in more slowly and more deeply.

"Sorry, It's hard to do this... I am not familiar or used to lifting things.. smaller things are easier but.. I thought I give this a try.." She had mentioned towards him still heavily breathing and panting at the current time. Her eyes shifted towards Josh for a moment, as she slowly started to stand upwards off the ground and glanced towards him.

Telekinesis. It wasn’t Force Push or Pull, but it was use of proper telekinesis nonetheless, giving him some idea of what she knew. And then she lost it, having completely misunderstood the request. He sighed, but nonetheless patted her shoulder.

“Your lack of confidence is one thing we certainly need to work on. But I was actually asking you to demonstrate the “push and pull” you claimed you could do. Not attempt telekinesis” he corrected her with a sheepish smile. “We can get to telekinesis shortly. I’ll mark it down as something to work on, but for now, why don’t you use Push and Pull, and show me the extent of what you do know?”

So with that, he motioned to the block once more. The floor was hers.
