Private Chance Encounter

After misunderstanding what he had actually said, the girl had nodded towards him hopefully getting it right this time. Thinking more clearly to herself and actually began to do what he had said. The girl moved her attention towards a small rock near them and quietly sat down then pushed her arm outwards and closed her eyes as she started to focus on the force. It hadn't been long before the rock had started to wobble around for a few seconds, even lifted off the ground than going towards her hand, however the moment she started to focus more and began to close out the sounds and distractions around her.

The young girl then proceed to lift the rock slowly out of her hand and used it to push the object away from her, the rock had potentially flowed away from her general location, it soon disappeared into the distance as she tilted her head back and forth blinking a few times as she rubbed her head. After doing that her attention had focused on her master before speaking towards him.

"Well, I hope that was a better attempt. Sorry, I can get confused... I am still not familiar with the abilities at all, is that way I might require a teacher that can possibly help me?" She had asked towards him for a brief second, before taking the time to rub her head back and forth before taking a slow deep breath, the girl had looked at josh for a moment, then proceeding to think to herself about some of the stuff that she had heard from him that was still on her mind. it hadn't been long before her main attention had been focused on him once more and she had breathed in taking another deep breath and tilted her head waiting for him to continue speaking.

With that misunderstanding cleared up, the lesson could begin in earnest. He watched as she first lifted the rock in the air using telekinesis once again, before utilizing Force Push in order to send it back. Well, she had the basic concepts down, which was good. She asked about having a teacher to possibly help her, which was kind of what he was here for. The Master slowly nodded his head.

“A good start. Let’s start here, then. I think you may be best suited to example-based learning. Allow me” he spoke up as he held up a hand and moved the rock back to its original position with telekinesis. Taking a deep breath, he would clear his mind and promptly push his hand forward. The rock would rocket forward towards Jademar, before it would stop and be sent flying backwards as he cranked his hand back to bring it back with Force Pull. Moving it back to its original position, he would look to her.

“Care to try again? Practice makes perfect.”

Jade had actually smiled at her master, before nodding her head and pushing her hands outwards away from her body. The young girl would slowly make her way over to rock once more, quickly placing it upon her hand and lifting slowly by using the force in her body.. the girl-focused deeply on trying to push it away. it didn't take long before this rock had pushed away like the other. However, she was not going to allow it to potentially get away from her this time. before it got out of range from her. The girl would take another deep breath and redraw more of the force from her body as she started to focus on the surrounding energy made from the force alone that was around her.

"Alright, I believe I can actually do this. Come on, it shouldn't be too hard for someone like me!" Her eyes had closed as she started to pull the rock slowly back towards her hand, it soon came towards her hand and she had stopped focusing and caught the rock as she smiled and opened her eyes to look towards her teacher smiling. Jade would need a lot of training and mostly more control over the force and learn about potentially using a lightsaber. The girl had no actual potential training in this regard, which to her was a bad thing. However, like everyone else you have to start at somewhere in life or training for that matter. The thoughts of all of the previous events had led to this point as she was ready to move on to the next step.

"How was that master? I hope I did better than last time?" She had asked him with a gleeful smile upon her face as she proceeded to stretch her arms while glancing over towards his direction.

“Good, good” he spoke along with her movements, indicating she was doing it correctly. It had taken a bit of time, but all proper Jedi training did. Though her talk of “shouldn’t be too hard for someone like her” got a frown out of him. Oh boy. First day and already overconfident. That was going to be a problem. Well, he could certainly nip that in the bud when the opportunity presented itself.

“You did. Much better” he praised with a nod in approval. “Though your attitude towards your lessons could use some work. Jedi don’t consider themselves to be above anything. If you get too self assured that things are easy because of who or what you may are, you’re going to end up in a situation you can’t easily squeeze out of. Then you, and maybe even others, will be in deep doo doo for it” he did his best to advise her in turn. “Jedi shed themselves of arrogance. It’s ok to have some self-confidence, but… In moderation.”

He shrugged. “Still, not bad for your first time. Now that you’ve gotten the basic grasp, I think the best thing to do from here is practice in your own time. Practice using the Force in your daily life, and keep a proper training regiment. I can book something with you for a few days time to check on your progress and we’ll do new exercises. Does that sound alright, or would you like to try and do one more exercise before we head off?”
