Chain Gang(Republic Dominion of Mobus)

[Soeht]

"Then go," ordered Daella, "Do what you feel must be done. May the Force be with you."

Daella then began to head her way back into the hall in order to mop up more escaping prisoners. She would not be going into space.

 

[Antares]

"May the Force be with you." Antares said just before they parted ways and he leapt into his own starfighter and it's hatch closed just as he entered it. Within moments his ship was already spiralling into space and leaving the Republic ship.

His ship's scanners were working quite well he thought, they were working long range at the moment and after only a few minutes of being out in space, and moving a significant distance away from the Republic ship, in his peripherals the text started to roll up from his astromech droid. And when he turned his head, he read something about incoming ships. "Master Apparine. You should board a shuttle." He said aloud, and had his droid forward the message to the Jedi Master.

The starfighter was already coming back around to the ship.

[Soeht]

A Republic frigate dropped out of hyperspace and began to scan the system. On the bridge was Captain Oreluos and Kirk. The Chiss examined the scanning of the system.

Captain Oreluos then said, "We heard there might be a chance of a conspiracy with the prisoner outbreak on the ship. See anything?"

Kirk replied, "Nothing yet."

Just a second after, Kirk immediately corrected himself by saying, "Wait, no. Something just came up behind one of the moons. A ship - frigate most likely."

Contacting those in space such as [member="Antares Windu"], Captain Oreluos told them, "This is the Captain Oreluos of the 502nd Task Force. We've found a rogue frigate behind the moon M-9. Investigate it with caution and engage only if fired upon."

What those that would investigate the frigate would find was a warship ready to reign death upon the Republic.

 

[Soeht]

After parting from [member="Antares Windu"], Daella made her way to an unchecked prison block. It became immediately apparent that the prisoners were still in control of the area. She brandished her lightsaber and began to make work of the prisoners - keeping her distance from the much larger ones such as Trandoshans and Wookies.

 

[Antares]

The Jedi Knight's starfighter was beginning to spiral around back to the moon when a new Republic frigate dropped out of hyperspace. "Of course." He simply said to the Captain in reply. "Prepare squadrons." He said anyway and then he cut off his side of the communications, he was able to hear, but not speak at the moment. He was heading straight for the moon, he was going to move along the surface and then come up and above whatever ship was there. Hopefully.

[Soeht]

After [member="Antares Windu"] made his move to investigate the enemy frigate behind M-9, Kirk and Oreluos examined the feed from the starfighters in the area.

Once Antares would have gotten to a close enough range to possibly make contact, Oreluos asked him through subspace channels, "Jedi Windu, can you identify the ship behind M-9?"

 

[Antares]

The Jedi Knight's starfighter skirted over the moon in two minutes and once he had laid eyes upon the unknown ship, he was already having his astromech droid sending the information to the Republic Frigate that [member="Rytek'irk'intrano"] was located upon to Captain Oreluos. "A frigate." He said in response. "My long-range sensors were still saying something of several ships coming into the system." He explained and he started to come back around the moon.

What the Jedi Knight hadn't realized was that he was within range of the turbolasers upon the frigate and there crimson lasers flying past his cockpit and dissipating to either side when they hit nothing. It was a good thing he was too small to be locked on to with rockets.

 

[Soeht]

Immediately after the enemy frigate fired upon [member="Antares Windu"], Kirk announced it to Captain Oreluos.

Contacting Antares in the captain's stead, Kirk told him, "Evade their fire, Jedi. We're getting into a firing position to support you."

 

[Soeht]

After knocking roughly five prisoners unconscious, Daella was unfortunate stuck between a Trandoshan armed with a club and a Wookie. Both were at least five meters away from her for the moment. She took a defensive stance and waited for the pair of prisoners to make the first move.

The Trandoshan lunged forward first. The Wookie soon followed. Timing their attacks, Daella moved at the right moment to dodge both beasts. The prisoners slammed into each other. Swiftly, Daella knocked them out with two quick strikes of her lightsaber to their head. The Wookiee fell to the ground with a bit of his fur singed and the Trandoshan landed right on top of him.

 

[Antares]

The Jedi Knight's starfighter continued to evade as best as he could. He was certain this was the second, if not first time he was in a starfighter while ship's larger than him were shooting. Whether they had been at him or not, hadn't mattered at the time. Here however, he was the target and they had opened fire quite quickly. "Where are the squadrons?" He questioned while he yanked the stick to the right and barely avoided a crimson beam.

[Soeht]

Oreluos's frigate recieved [member="Antares Windu"]'s message. With the Captain busy relaying orders himself, Kirk ended up being the link between the frigate and Antares.

Replying, Kirk told Antares, "There should be a squadron coming to assist you. I wouldn't expect more. You've been authorized to command them as you see fit. We'll still need more time to get into firing position, though."

 

[Antares]

Antares growled, though it couldn't be heard by [member="Rytek'irk'intrano"] because of his communications array being off for the moment. His only hope of rescue was in the form of another squadron, while neither of the Frigates were even in range to fire at each other.

Thankfully, the Eta-6a starfighter eventually got out of range of the unknown frigate's firing range, though it was only coming around the moon completely as he came out of range. He immediately switched over to the squadron's frequency and said, "circle around the Republic frigate and we'll regroup." He said and he headed for them. All the while not paying attentions to his long-range scanners. Not even his astromech was getting his attention with all of it's whirring as he focused upon his next course of action to attack the unknown Frigate.

 

[Soeht]

Oreluos's frigate continued to position itself. As it did, the frigate ended concentrating fire on [member="Antares Windu"] - as if the odds deemed that it was time for him to be in trouble.

 

[Antares]

"Form up on me." He said just as they came around the Republic Frigate and the twelve fighters came up behind and around him. "The frigate hasn't deployed fighters yet. It is either waiting to deploy them, or doesn't have any." He said thoughtfully over the squadron's frequency. "Focus upon missile and weapon placements." He said, and then they set out.

The astromech was still blaring until Antares silenced it. I feel like this Chiss is doing it on purpose. He thought to himself. Meaning the fact that the frigates hadn't engaged yet.

[Soeht]

After minutes had passed by, Daella ended up rounding up the last of the prisoners in the prison block she was in. The Trandoshan and Wookiee that she fought against had been tied up and thrown into the nearest cell.

It did not take long before Daella got another call to go to a different prison block. Daella made her way down the all and started the trek to her next duty in order to quell the prison break.

 

[Soeht]

After [member="Antares Windu"] managed to escape death from the enemy frigate, Oreluos manged to position his frigate in a manner so that M-9 did not block their field-of-view between them and the enemy frigate.

Contacting Antares, Kirk told him, "Good job, Jedi. Brace yourself, though. We're firing."

Oreluos's frigate then launched a volley of turbolasers at the enemy frigate. The shields were already being stressed by Antares's attacks. The frigate's own attacks could have brought the ship's shields down.

At the same time, Oreluos's finally launched the frigate's only squadron of fighters. Yet, they went toward the frigate that was carrying prisoners in order to secure lifeboats being launched.

 

[Antares]

Antares Windu's squadron maneuvered through the crimson, azure, and emerald beams that flew at each other from the frigates. When he checked his scanners, another two weapon emplacements had been destroyed and he barrel-rolled upwards and then spiralled downwards so that he was heading straight towards the topside of the Unknown Frigate. "Stay on me." He said as his finger landed upon the firing button and streams of crimson laser fire continued to erupt from his starfighter's cannons to the shield-less ship's hull.

"Deploy missiles." He said, just as the Unknown Frigates own hangar bay opened and two starfighter squadrons came out of the hangar bays. They were quick, much faster than Antares's own squadron, but the Jedi Knight's ship seemed to be on par...Maybe. "Stick with your wingman." He ordered and he cut off to the left so that he went down past the ship, and was underneath it with two other fighters from his squadron with him. "We're going into that hangar bay." He said on the channel that was linked to[member="Rytek'irk'intrano"] and his own squadron. "I want to know whose ship this is." He said just before he emerged from underneath the frigate.

 

[Soeht]

About halfway between one cellblock and the other, Daella ended up getting ambushed by several prisoners next to a lifeboat. They numbered at just four. Yet, each one seemed viciously determined to shove her into the escape pod. They seemed to aim for getting rid of the Jedi by ejecting her into space rather than straight up combat.

Due to Daella being just five-foot-five, she was certainly not the strongest of Jedi - at least physically. Yet as the prisoners soon learned, she was quite agile. Daella danced around the prisoners as they attempted to grappled her.

Yet, she discovered that they were tenacious. She managed to hit them a few times with her lightsaber. Yet, none of them dropped. At least, not yet.

It took Daella well over four strikes for each prisoner before they fell before Daella. By the end of the bout, Daella's breath had grown heavy. She had been fighting for possibly over and hour straight at this point.

Continuing on her journey, Daella made her way to the cellblock she was called to.

 

[Soeht]

After [member="Antares Windu"] sent his message, the fire from Oreluos's frigate began to die out.

Sending a message to Antares, Kirk told him, "We'll not aim to destroy the ship for now. Oreluos is giving you thirty minutes to investigate. We don't have the luxury of superior firepower - especially if they have more allies."

What Antares would find the hangar would be a hard-fought battle against mercenaries - their allegiances not yet known unless Antares seeks to dive deep into the enemy frigate.

 

[Antares]

The Jedi Knight's starfighter came into the hangar bay and received a welcome filled with red, green, and blue beams of light that splashed across his starfighter's shields. Thankfully, he was in a starfighter and had shields. Not to mention weapon systems, and those mercenaries who were firing were decimated by the trio of starfighters as they rotated due to the usage of their repulsor lifts and upwards propulsion that prevented them from shooting upon their own friendlies.

It had only taken a few moments before the whole of the Hangar had been cleared out and it was only three starfighters in the hangar bay and a bunch of corpses. The Jedi Knight's hatch opened up and he signalled to the other two to stay in their ships. He felt they would be needed more in them than on the ground. They were pilots, not infantry after all.

Antares found himself in front of a turbolift and he was already stepping into the lift with his lightsaber in hand, an aqua blue blade prepared to strike down any enemies who were within. "I am inside." He said into his comlink when he found the lift empty and began to ascend to where ever it took him.
