  • Subterranean Mode

Strengths |
  • [ Insectoid Menace ] | Much like the Scorpenek Annihilator it was based on, the CC-Bandit is a powerful droid designed to be highly effective against both infantry and ground vehicles. Due to their arsenal, the CC-Bandit is able to cut down platoons of enemy troops using its two arms, each featuring a dual rotating rapid-fire laser cannon with selective fire features. Whilst its primary configuration allowed the CC-Bandit to lay down oppressive fields of persistent fire in the form of laser bolts, the CC-Bandit's arms could be configured to fire laser beams that are capable of carving through even the thickest of armor plating.
  • [ Disruptor Tail ] | As its name implies, the CC-Bandit features a Disruptor Cannon integrated into its tail, giving it a dangerous weapon against heavily armored targets. After it charges up a disruptor shot, it can be discharged with great accuracy, capable of atomizing targets on impact. This feature is particularly useful in neutralizing anything from infantry clad in Beskar, armored tanks, and even starfighters if they were foolish enough to fly too low.
  • [ Protective Shield ] | Like its smaller ancestors, the CC-Bandit features a powerful particle-energy shield, allowing for outgoing fire while deflecting incoming fire. This makes the CC-Bandit a durable frontline unit capable of dishing out massive amounts of firepower while still being protected. The protective shield it deploys is also large enough to cover a small squad of infantry on either side of the CC-Bandit due to its large size.
  • [ Terrain Superiority ] | Due to the hexapedal nature of the CC-Bandit, it is capable of traversing across numerous terrain without much issue. They are able to skitter around at top speeds of 80km/h. Foliage, rubble, urban environments, the CC-Bandittraverses it all. With integrated mag legs and hooks integrated into the ends, the CC-Bandit is even capable of vertically scaling metallic or rocky walls. Another perk to its ability to traverse almost any terrain is also its ability to dig itself underground where it can lurk and wait for enemies to approach or tunnel its way underneath enemy lines.

Weaknesses |
  • [ Power Hungry ] | As expected of something as large and heavily armed as the CC-Bandit, it comes as little surprise that it consumes enormous quantities of power while deployed. As a result, the CC-Bandit is unable to maintain extended deployment before becoming depleted and ineffective. It must be regularly recalled to have its power recharged before redeploying to the battlefield.
  • [ EMP/Ion ] | While traditional infantry based EMP grenades and Ion weapons won't neutralize it entirely, the effects of small arms EMP weapons are capable of effectively blinding the CC-Bandit's sensors as well as drain its shields quickly while larger forms such as starship weapons or bombs are capable of neutralizing and disabling the CC-Bandit. Much of its mobility is also heavily hindered while under the influence of EMP or Ionic effects.
  • [ Inactive Shields ] | Even with its impressive shield suite, the CC-Bandit is unable to deploy shields while it is underground or moving at speeds greater than 40 km/h, leaving it open to be attacked. The shields also go down when the Disruptor Cannon is about to discharge its shot. During periods of shield downtime, the CC-Bandit is particularly susceptible to anti-vehicular fire, and even with its duranium plating, able to go down with a well placed shot to its body.
  • [ Sluggish ] | Despite being able to move at a relatively steady pace of 32km/h unhindered, any attempts to move over extremely rugged terrain or vertical surfaces make it go extremely slow. The legs need to extend whilst moving across troublesome terrain, resulting in its slower speeds.

DESCRIPTION

CC-Bandit Class Annihilator Droids is one of the newest production of droids produced by the Sith Empire on the planet of Mygeeto. They are typically designated as border enforcement units to the systems they are deployed in or systems critical to the Sith Empire due to their immense production costs. Their very presence alone is a danger to any enemy forces confronting them, based off an old design used back during the Clone Wars, where their predecessors were just as fearsome as the CC-Bandit.

CC-Bandits are based off the Scorponek Class Annihilator Droids produced by the Colicoid Creation Nest, featuring a pair of dual rapid-fire laser cannons and a particle-energy shield. Following the Scorponek as a base, the CC-Bandit was designed to be a larger, upscaled and more heavily armed successor, this time featuring a disruptor cannon integrated into its tail for dealing with particularly problematic units. With its dual twin rapid-fire laser cannons, the CC-Bandit has the firepower and fire rate to cut down entire platoons of enemy troops in rapid succession - These cannons are able to rotate and function similarly to rotary cannons. These rapid-fire laser cannons can be reconfigured over the course of several seconds to fire laser beams instead, allowing the CC-Bandit to melt and carve its way through vehicles or thick armor plating.

CC-Bandits are equipped with powerful shields capable of protecting it from both blaster fire and physical projectiles. Due to its large size, it is able to press forward and cover two small squads of infantry in its defensive bubble; one on each side of the CC-Bandit. Due to the hexapedal nature of the CC-Bandit, it is able to skitter along the battlefield at alarming speeds for something its size. It is also able to burrow its way underground, where it can bury itself under rubble, dirt or snow and hide, laying in wait to ambush enemies or tunnel deeper underground to slip past enemy lines and flank, making them excellent ambushers in addition to frontline assault units.

Overall, the CC-Bandit is designed all around to be a battlefield threat. Despite their limited numbers, each CC-Bandit is the equivalent of a full squadron of tanks and a company of soldiers on their own.
