What began as a seemingly simple conservation initiative to breed and reintroduce stable colonies of the endangered Velvet-Tuft Nectarbat, native to the misted jungles of Anaros has taken an unexpected turn.
The bats, delicate creatures prized for their role in pollinating Anarosian moonbloom orchids, were being temporarily housed in a series of climate-controlled enclosures within the Tython Jedi Temple. The final stage of the project was to transport them to a protected release site on their homeworld.
However, during what can only be described as a "conscious accident", in an event suspiciously timed with the involvement of one particular padawan...the containment protocols were... compromised. All 4,939 bats were prematurely released into the temple's main halls.
Now, the Temple on Tython was no longer the picture of a tranquil bastion of Jedi serenity. Instead it was a flurry of tiny wings, soft chittering, and mild panic as bats dart through meditation chambers, roost in chandeliers, and startle even the most composed Masters mid-lecture.
