Public (CASUAL DROP-IN) Spacers and Travelers, Tell Me All The Best Shadowports

"Now all of us," Jerec said to the room full of spacers, having turned a wall into a big spray-painted galaxy map, "we all know a few good underworld ports. Anything from dusty fuel depots to the private corners of bigger rest stops. I want a list."

He pointed at a hulking war droid who held a heavy sack of coins.

"R90 there will throw you a couple wupiupi when you shout it out or add it to the map yourself. Yes, you can add it by shooting the wall. There's also vibrochisels and markers. Tell us a couple words about the place. Come on, earn up, do as many as you want. I'll start. Here's how it works."

He took one of the vibrochisels and scored an X in there somewhere.

"That's one of Black Sun's space shadowports, Thaal'Quorr. Mountain fortress floating in hard vacuum, can't miss it. Full of cyborgs and weird tech. Great pierogies. Anyone wants the coordinates, ask anyone. And over here is Hosk-240, a world the Denon corpos destroyed. Even better pierogies. Bring your vac suit and your beer straw. R90?"

The war droid pulled two coins from the sack and threw them to him.

"That's the game. Go for it."

OOC/ Goal is to make a decent list of Factory/Codex/otherwise-RPed shadowports. There's great stuff out there. Pop by Nar Shaddaa and drop on in for a post or two!

Jared had been around the galaxy a bit. And heading to Nar Shaddaa was one of those trips that most took. But no one felt good about. Still. He was operating within his fathers path. The Underground, the Hidden Path, and the Network. What better place to find news of how to be a bit more sneaky than the pirate and scoundrel capital of the galaxy.

As he stepped in, not looking like a Jedi, but a Warden, no saber obvious, he saw the Ithorian.

"A few different places you been, huh?" He sat down with his drink. "Been out to the OPA space?"

When you're a ghost, time was quite unlimited. What else did she have to do? What else did she need to do? A new favorite activity ; just popping into places and interjecting. What was anyone going to do? Kill her?

After the weird body-snatching thing she didn't put it past some industrious force user but for now she would ride the line of annoying specter. Not the type that offered any real advice or help, but more just sticking herself in business where she didn't belong. Again, where did she have to be?

"Everyone and their grandma has been to OPA space Starchaser." Ghost Delila rolled her eyes, moving along to her input in the shadowports. "Ever been to the Starweird Queen? Syvris System.Dangerous, but fun. Hey...thats what men said about me when I was alive."

A small grin.

"I'd add it to the map myself but..." She gestured vaguely at her form.

"Of fething course YOU would wind up as a ghost."

Jerec attempted to take Dells' presumed death in stride. In fact he found it affecting. To cover his feelings he took a marker and vibrochisel to the wall and hammered out the location of the Starweird Queen.

"I have been out to OPA space, green bean," he said to the tall drink of water who'd spoken up first, "back when they were the Outer Rim Coalition. Flew with'em to Firefist and Cosm's Well. There was this one port...ahh, that's right, Port Neverwhere. Huge trash hulk, used to be kitted up as a command ship, last I heard it's doing port work. R90, pay the man and throw one fifteen degrees off your centerline."

R90 threw a coin to Jared and whipped another through the ghost it couldn't see.

"Of fething course YOU would wind up as a ghost."

"Don't worry, I'll try not to haunt you too much."

Delila watched as the coin went through her, a slightly annoyed look on her face. Wasn't the droid's fault. Either way, she "sat down" on a bar stool, looking between the patrons, curious if anyone had any more shadowports. She had been to one long ago but didn't know the name. Perhaps it wasn't even a shadowport, could have just been a shady rest stop.

"Think I'll scare away the clientele if I just sit here a moment?"

Nej Tane, the galaxy's goofball, peered over the map as he approached. He spent a moment looking sadly at his now-dead friend. His eyes held their youth still, and he lay uncharacteristically silent upon seeing Delila's ghost.

He disregarded it. A hologram. A lie. Not real. She wasn't dead. His friends didn't die. Nej didn't have a lot of friends left. They couldn't die.

"The High Republic Space has a few, ladies and gents- Gasgo's is now my go-to." He walked to the map that the Ithorian was making, using his datapad as a reference to accurately point it out. He craned his neck, looking around, before leaning forward, folding his arms inwards at the table as he sat.

"I need a line on some stuff in Alliance space, though. Trying to get a better route to cut through their territory and all. Easier to go through than to go around these days. Plus, Alliance are pretty lax nowadays, what with all their endless wars and all."

He had been out of the world a bit. Jared did that. He went off the reservation and disappeared quite often. Only to come back to some shadowport with a new ship and a chip on his shoulder. Eyes widened as he saw Dells… had it been that long since the pair worked together?

Catching the chit, he nodded.

“Port Neverwhere… Had a few colleagues tracking that for us still. Would be wonderful to find that trashheap again. Been tucking into places that have their lower level set aside for folks like us.”

The other one would be Rebellion Actual.

Or Terminus.
