PRODUCTION INFORMATION
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Multipurpose light combat armour
  • Weight: Light
  • Resistances: (For each category choose from: None, Very Low, Low, Average, High, Very High, Extreme. Ratings of High, Very High, and Extreme will need to be added as strengths with elaboration.) Resistance Ratings Extreme will require the submission to be Semi-Unique. This Resistance Rating is considered very strong and are usually dealing with unique items that should be restricted to Player Characters only.
    • Energy: High
    • Kinetic: High
    • Lightsabers: Very Low
    • Elemental: High
    • Ion/EMP: Very High
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Susurra weave: The armour makes very little noise due to the integrated Susurra weave.
  • Baffleweave: The armour is capable of remaining undetected by many technological sensors due to the integrated Susurra weave.
  • Ion/EMP protection: This light armour is laced with rubber seams and has Combat de-ionisers which counters many powerful ion/EMP effects.
STRENGTHS
  • Ion/EMP protection: This set of light armour is specifically designed to protect itself and whatever lies underneath it from the effects of an EMP. A very powerful EMP blast or multiple weaker ones will be needed before the defences of this piece will start to falter.
  • Good against the elements: The materials used in the cloth of this piece of light armour are well suited to withstand most environmental conditions, whether it be extreme heat or cold. It even offers a degree of protection against fire, electricity and ice. To a degree, it can even protect against the heat and destructive elements of a laser bolt if it hits the cloth instead of the specialised plates.
  • Tough Cloth: Another benefit of the materials used for this armour along with the tight weave is that it is resilient against kinetic attacks. These attacks can range from slashes to shrapnel to a fall from a greater height. While the protection is not quite as strong as the one against ion and EMP, it does ensure that the wearer can escape being harmed much more easily.
  • Pro Agility: The light armour was designed to allow for a very active and agile combat style. The cloth is loose where it needs to be and is surprisingly elastic for something which is so protective. The armoured pieces are positioned in a way as to not hinder mobility which enhances this advantage. In comparison to other light armours, this one is particularly light which allows the user to remain active for extended periods of time.
  • Stealthy: With both Susurra weave and Baffleweave, this set of light armour is well suited for cover operations. The susurra weave ensures that the wearer is unlikely to be heard whilst the Baffleweave hides the wearer from most sensors.
WEAKNESSES
  • Lightsabres: This armour offers little to no protection against lightsabres. Cutting through it is easier than with the average light armour and might be more fairly compared to cutting through another piece of cloth.
  • Uneven protection: Against blasters, the protection this armour offers is rather uneven. While the protection was good overall, a blaster bolt which hit the fabric instead of the protective plates would do significantly much more damage than ones hitting the protective plating.
  • Not discrete: The Light Armour is not discrete. If worn at formal settings or even casual civilian ones, it will stick out as combat armour. Despite its stealthy nature, it is not well suited for actually blending in to a crowd.
DESCRIPTION
Cas Tynen's Light Armour was manufactured by Phaseera Manufacturing but it had been pieced together fully by Cas Tynen himself.

While it was made to fit his aggressive and agile combat style and Ataru in general, it was specifically well suited to protect against EMP and ion attacks. With combat de-ionisers energy sinks and insulating rubber strips, it worked well for this specific purpose. EMP and ion attacks were often caught by the armour's protective systems before it could actually reach anything that could be disabled.

Naturally, the light armour was not only well suited to protect its wearer against ion and EMP attacks. It was, importantly, also protective against blasters, kinetic strikes and elemental attacks. This made it a rather versatile piece which was well suited at keeping its wearer safe in most combat situations. Where it lacked the most was in terms of protection against lightsabres as they would easily tear through the cloth and even the protective armour plates with ease.

The plates and the cloth did, however, behave differently more often than not. This was particularly true in the case of blasters and while a single hit against an armoured plate would most likely leave the user mostly unscathed, a hit against the cloth would probably injure them, albeit at a much less severe degree than a blaster bolt normally would.

There was a point to only having a few armoured plates, however. Not only did it make the armour as a whole lighter and provided for free movement of the limbs, but it was also insignificant enough not to rub the stealthy properties which the cloth provided. The materials which were used to produce the larger part of the armour ensured that it was possible to move about in it with minimal noise and without being detected by sensors. While this allowed the wearer to move about without being detected, the it was not a discrete piece. Naturally, it was possible to wear something on top of it, but on its own, it was clearly visible that it was armour used for combat.
