Carey was living on a remote part of Naboo when returning from the factory he worked at he saw republic ships he ran home to try to take his wife and kids and escape only to find out his wife had called them to take the girls for training so they wouldn't be a danger like him she even informed them of Carey himself.
This caused Carey's fear to grow creating a force storm that tore the home apart killing his wife before Carey could grab the two year old twins Jedi busted in the house Carey barely escaped leaving the kids behind reluctantly.
Carey stole a ship and left planet and has been hiding out in ruins on Kamino for 12 years now unsure what happened to his daughters.
