He is to act as a counterbalance to the zealous Darth Strosius Darth Strosius .

    Captain-Skep.png
A fairly fit and slightly athletic build, kept up with regular exercise, as well as a height of 5'9 F ,1.8 M. Having no real distinguishing features such as scars or other marks but some signs of his age such as crows feet, he is a very average Zygerrian male in most aspects. His usual attire consists of one of his many officer uniforms and his Zygerrian Royal Guard helmet.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Captain Skep Klar
  • Loyalties: (Previously, Zygerria, The Sith Empire) The Dark Wonosa Cult
  • Wealth: Higher middle class, wealth originates from his service to Zygerria and TSE.
  • Notable Possessions: The cargo frigate Altorius
  • Skills: The main skills of Skep include: his experience as a captain and Naval Officer, his fairly inspiring speeches and actions, and his strong yet tactical personality.
  • Personality: Standoffish is the best way to describe Skep Klar. Even before the Ruination of Zygerria and his service in the Sith Empire's Navy, Skep was a serious and preferred to work or learn rather than any sort of play or partying. He is usually all-business and no-nonsense, yet he does genuinely care for the people under his care whether they be soldiers or civilians. Loyalty and honor are very important and key to how Skep views both himself and others, holding everyone around him regardless of their rank or affiliation to the same standard. Usually honest, sometimes brutally so, he is sometimes a difficult individual to converse with given his usual clipped responses and near-constant working attitude. That being said however, overall he is not cruel and has been known to carefully watch over his crew so that they may be given fair burdens and proper rest from said burdens.
COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Weapon of Choice: Standard-Issue Blaster Pistol
  • Combat Function: The main function of Skep in combat is to serve as a leader for others, usually at the head of a ship. He is a fairly competent captain and a decent tactician, but he is nothing special in comparison. His skills in personal combat are nothing of note either. His hand-to-hand skills are on par with any average Naval Officer but he has been known to study his opponent and find an opening or weakness to end combat quickly. He prefers to be at range however, using his accurate pistol shots and tactics to keep his foe at a distance and on the back-foot.
Strengths:
  • Competent Captain: Due to many years of service as an officer in the Navy of both Zygerria and the Sith Empire, his an experienced and battle-hardened man. His tactics, while not groundbreaking, are usually effective and he has experience with having to modify or shift plans on the spot if the need arises.
  • Inspirational Leader: Caring for his crew and treating them well are the bare minimum of his duties. His focus on the well-being of his crew as well as his admirable skills have earned him the respect of nearly every crew that he has ever served with, and his steadfast attitude has meant that his always a rock for his crew and others to lean on.
Weaknesses:
  • Unofficial Official: With the fall of both Zygerria and the Sith Empire, he holds no official rank. Although his crew and most of the denizens of the ship Altorius recognize him as the captain and refer to him as such, he has no real pull or contacts outside of the cult.
  • Past His Prime: Being in the Middle-Aged range for his species, he is not the best at physical labor nor exertion. While this is easily compensated for given that he spends most of his time commanding and delegating, it also means that he is often unable to fully step in and help whenever there are no extra pairs of hands.
  • War Is All I Know: Having spent the majority of his life since adolescence in combat or service of some kind, his mind is nearly fully geared towards the workings of war. He lives, eats, and breathes with regimented and trained methods, and such methods often translate to everything that he does. This makes many tasks not involved with running a ship and crew difficult for him, making him heavily delegate his duties as Prelate to others.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Skep Klar would begin his life as the son of a relatively minor family on Zygerria. His family's hard work ethic and access to decent education meant that he grew up as a hard working and intelligent individual, being selected as a prime candidate for the Zygerrian military before he had finished his primary schooling. He went into the military eagerly, seeking to serve his people loyally and efficiently. Soon he would begin his service in the Navy, serving and working his way up from the bottom. By the time of the Ruination of Zygerria he had entered into the Sith-Imperial Navy and had become a fairly competent and reliable captain of various frigates during the wars that the Empire waged.

After hearing of his home's ruination he took a leave from the war to try and help his people that had survived and escaped the planet, eventually winding up spending his savings on and organizing relief efforts for the Zygerrian refugees from his new home on Dromund Kaas. He soon came into contact with members from the fledgling Dark Wonosa Cult, even attending a sermon or two, throughout his efforts. The cultists were very grateful for his assistance and many of them tried to bring the officer into the cult as a new member. With the cult still in its infancy, the captain reluctantly joined properly and was soon promoted to Prelate by the High Priest of the cult Darth Strosius Darth Strosius . While he personally held no real faith in the Dark Side nor the teachings of the Sith, Skep was loyal to his people and held a level of respect for the Acolyte that had come to lead them.

It didn't take long for Skep to become a very important and integral figure for the cult, soon adopting the title of High Prelate by Alisteri so that he could lead in his stead. Although the High Priest and the High Prelate had differing faiths and ideals, they were both loyal to the Empire and the Zygerrian refugees and as such never had many real arguments. The cult grew and flourished under the oversight of the High Prelate, as well as seeing a little bit of militia movement starting to form within the ranks of the cult. However, the small prosperity that the cult enjoyed would not last forever.

As the Sith Empire began to fall back on all sides and the inevitable end of the nation came ever closer, the High Prelate began planning for life after the Empire. With the help of Alisteri and several other cultists, Skep managed to purchase the Altorius as his own personal vessel and would oversee the refitting and modification of the ship for its future usage as a vessel of the cult. When the day finally came for the cult to leave the planet, Captain Skep was at the helm.
