Captain Ali Hadrix (PM To Join)

Alis comment made Riley stiffen for a moment. "Yes..yes ma'am." It was then that she realized that Ali was teasing her. Riley blushed somewhat in her realization. "I..oh...I'm not sure how much I'd need to drink before anything inappropriate happens. But I'm sure I can stop when necessary. At least at the Captains orders anyway."

Ali smiled as Riley's cheeks turned red, and she couldn't resist leaning against the window and reaching for the flask once again. She drank from it and replaced the cap. "What do you mean...inappropriate?" Ali asked devilishly, arching an eyebrow as she handed Riley back the liquor. The evening air came in through the window, teasing at Ali's long, curled locks. "I know what I mean by inappropriate, but what about you, hm Riley?"

Rileys cheeks turned a deeper red as she took the flask. "Well...Inappropriate..I mean.." She paused for a moment. Instead of finishing the sentence, she removed the cap on the flask and took another swig. "I'm not really sure honestly. But..maybe you could explain your view then I could figure something out."

Ali laughed again. She placed her hand on Riley's arm, squeezing it gently. "I don't think like there's much to explain, Riley." Ali leaned forward and kissed the other woman on the cheek, using the maneuver to steal the flask away from her companion again. She took another swig and winked, then handed it back laughing. She was glad to have some time alone with Riley, and especially the fun and good-natured kind.

Riley blushed and gave a hesitant laugh. "I guess there really isn't much to explain is there." She grabbed the flask and took another swig. Either her nerves were feeling calmer, or the whiskey was kicking in, but she was starting to feel more confident. She couldn't help but give a small laugh, one with more confidence in it. "So. Now what's going to happen? You being promoted and all."

Ali smiled mysteriously, liking the look of redness against the other woman's cheeks. She closed her eyes for a moment and sighed, letting the cool night air wash over her through the small slit in the stained glass window. Riley's small laugh sounded clear and pleasant in her ears, and Ali began feeling an attraction to the woman she hadn't much considered before. After a moment of thought, she turned her attention to Riley's question. "I'm heading to Intelligence. Field work." She said, taking back the flask as it was offered. Her head was feeling slightly warm and swollen, a sure sign she was feeling the liquor. Ali glanced up furtively at the other woman. "Would you...like to come with me?"

[member="Riley Reese"]

The question took Riley by surprise. Her mind seemed a little slower then normal to grab what Ali had just asked, possibly due to the alcohol. "Go...Go with you? I'm not really sure. What would I do? I'm just a soldier after all. Gathering intelligence isn't exactly my strong point."

[member="Ali Hadrix"]

Ali shrugged nonchalantly. "I think you could do it. Gathering intel isn't hard, it's keeping it secret that's the hard part." She glanced out the window, gesturing vaguely with her hand. "There are a lot of people out there...and I could use you, I know it." Ali muttered, looking back at Riley after a moment. "It would mean a lot to me, if you said yes."

Riley looked out across the city scape, taking in the lights around them. She then turned her attention back to Ali. "I..could go with you. I mean. You need at least one good fighter to watch your back." She gave a small grin at the last statement. Reaching out, she grabbed both the flask and Alis hand at the same time. "Yeah. I guess I could tag along."

Ali was surprised, both by Riley's response and the manner in which she took her hand. She felt the ever-present strength lying below the fabricated skin, Ali enjoyed its absence of warm. It was safe to her. Ali smiled slowly as the realisation grew in the forefront of her mind, squeezing Riley's hand in response. Ali wondered what the move might mean in Riley's mind, what she might be after, if anything. Does she? Will she? Ali cast the wonderment aside and simply enjoyed the other woman's touch. She brought Riley's hand upward and kissed it gently, holding it against her cheek and neck. "Thank you, Ri," she muttered, closing her eyes and pressing her lips against the other woman's palm without kissing it.

Riley gave a hesitant laugh at Alis response. "I don't think you should thank me to much yet. We haven't even left the planet. Besides there's still a party down stairs." She gently squeezed Alis hand. Even though she had superior strength in her prosthetic limbs, she could make them be gentle at times. "But. I'm bet I can divert patrols to other floors. That can buy us some time, if you want."

Ali turned to face the window once more. She hummed to herself for a moment, letting her gaze return to Riley after some silent thought. She was brought back to the present by the pressure of Riley's hand squeezing her own. Ali smiled gently. "Time, hmmm..." She replied softly, bringing Riley's hand up to her cheek and resting her face against it. "I would like that." Ali murmured, her ruby red lips parting just slightly as she spoke.

Riley gave a small grin. She activated her comlink and sent a message to the other members of the security detail. Telling them that she had this floor for the rest of the night. Once the confirmation calls came in, she replaced her comlink and led Ali back into the now deserted floor. "So. Where do you think we should start? "

Ali sighed lightly, looking over at Riley with an expression of uncertainty gracing her features. "I know where I want to start, Ri, but..." Ali let her voice trail off and she looked over to the window again. The young woman was courteous to clear the floor for them, though Ali had little idea if Riley knew what she wanted. What if she doesn't reciprocate? Or know how? Ali frowned inwardly, refusing to let it show on her lips. Riley was strong, kind, and skilled, but she was hardly experienced in the ways of women. What Ali wanted Riley might not understand, and may later come to resent Ali for pursuing. What if she expects more of me than I'm willing to give? One of Ali's biggest issues with women was her disinterest in monogamy. Ali didn't restrict herself to a single woman, she dated around, which many of the women she became interested in simply did not agree with, or could not understand. Ali chewed on the inside of her cheek for a moment before looking back at Riley, her eyes trailing the younger woman's lips and neck. Riley had a militant sense to her, she carried herself in a soldierly manner, and part of Ali wanted to soften her outset. Oh kriff it. Ali thought to herself, leaning forward and cupping her hand against the woman's jawline and neck, holding her gently enough to press their lips together.

Riley froze when Ali pressed their lips together. She wasn't entirely sure how to respond right away. The hesitation didn't last long. Cupping Alison hand that rested on her neck, Riley pressed back. She wasn't entirely sure why, but it felt like the right thing to do at the moment.

Ali wasn't surprised with herself one bit. Riley was the first woman she'd had interest for in a while, though her life had left her with little room for such trivial pursuits, as her father might call them (the man wasn't much of a romantic, which suited Ali's mother just fine). Ali pulled away after a moment, feeling her own lip tug free of Riley's. Her hand covered the one Riley had brought to her face and Ali just looked across at the other woman for a moment before smiling gently and leaning back in to kiss her again.

Riley was still unsure of herself. This feeling was so...foreign. She broke away from the second kiss, her cheeks were now bright red. "I...I've never felt anything quite like this. It's different. It's...good."

[member="Ali Hadrix"]

Ali leaned away to give Riley room to speak. She laughed politely, covering her mouth, then leaned forward and kissed the young woman again. "If it's something you'd like to get used to, let me know, Ri." Ali smiled, patting her cheek playfully.

A small grin appeared on Riley's face. "I think I could get used. Maybe I kinda want to." She thought for a moment before speaking. "We're exactly do we go from here though?"

[member="Ali Hadrix"]

"Good," Ali returned, "Because I kinda want you to." Ali breathed softly, her eyes drawn inextricably toward the outside once again. After a moment she looked back to Riley with a smile. "We don't have to do anything, Ri," she said, squeezing the other woman's hand.
