The Canicula-class is a Heavy interceptor built on the chassis of the Mako-class Interceptor. Like its sister craft, the Canicula-class offers superior performance and construction utilizing the same redundant systems and engineering matching it with the performance of the Mako-class or any other Interceptor currently deployed throughout the galaxy. While not as versatile as the Mako-class the Canicula-class is designed to offer heavier firepower than the Mako-class. The Canicula-class is a standard deployment option for The Directorate and Silver Jedi Fleet vessels. The Weapons systems equipped are far less wide range than the Mako-class. The Canicula-class is designed to hit a target hard in support of other attack craft. The atmospheric capabilities of the Canicula-class are exceptional and the craft even offers the ability to be launched from submerged hangers to a depth of 1000 meters.
